I only plan on using them while driving. I don't need spot lights to camp lol. Eventually I will probably get a dual battery setup as I add more toys to the rig. But for now, charge shouldn't be an issue. If it does, I'll upgrade the battery to a better one.

Are these the same on the R50?
-
Yeah I was looking for grommets as that's what I was initially banking on doing, but there is only one and it sits right behind the engine block, making it unreachable for something as simple as this. Using the clutch "hole" on automatics is most definitely the easiest and most accessible location on the driver's side. It has however metal brackets on the other side of it making it not simply a big hole, but rather something where the wires have to be "squeezed" past, as you can see in my #8 post, 1st photo. This is why I simply put a good amount of electrical tape around them so that they remain protected.

a parts xterra and a pathfinder all for 1400 that is still insanely cheap!!!! you won't get a bumper and wheels with tires for that price!! I say do it!!
-
wow that's incredible for $400! I'm sure you could MAKE the ARB bumper fit, but I also am pretty sure that it won't be a direct bolt on without any custom stuff to make it work. Again, not a conclusive answer but I think a pretty safe assumption to make. However, snatch those 32's up while you can! That will make a really nice upgrade.

You have up drill as there is nothing to mount it to if it didn't come with one.

Why not use a thin 5mm spacer?
-
Good point. Well for that to be the case though, wouldn't the ignition need to be on? I don't think my phone charges (cig lighter) unless the ignition is turned on, and since it's on the same fuse, that would mean there's no power to it. But I will double check this to make sure. I'm not sure what you mean by mini tap...?

Whats the Magic lift I keep seeing in post

So if F250 shocks fit with a lift, are these the rancho ones I keep reading about? http://m.autoanything.com/suspension-systems/61A2642A0A0.aspx -
Yeah I thought about the above the taillights option and it's actually my preference. Again I would need to fab a mount for it.

I ended up using the cigarette lighter fuse and it worked fine. The antenna is currently attached to the roof basked due to the braket type that came with it. I think I will have to buy a hood mounting bracket or make one for the trunk area. Any other suggestions on where to mount this? It's a 3Ft FireFly.

This arrived today: This is where I'm at now: Sits in there purdy but it's not hooked up yet. Ground is in and I wanna put the red wire into a 12V fuse as per the instructions but I can't determine which fuse uses 12 bolts...?! Any advice!? Thanks

This might be in my future...nice updated look, and most important, brighter! I'm thinking red and blue.

Nice find!! Sounds like you know what you're talking about and looking for. As for pics, go to http://photobucket.com and sign up for an account. Then upload pics from your computer. Click on the IMG link, it will auto copy to your clipboard and paste it into the forum. It will be coded to show the pics without having to type any fancy stuff around the link.

^^^thats pretty neat!

K I'll check it out. I'm also inquiring with a local manufacturer to custom build one.

Thanks for the tip Kyle, that is a good point. Glad you brought that up. I'm going to have to tape that up nice and thick then and then reinstall.
-
So I found the perfect solution: There is this plaque held on by 2 acrews: Removed it, checked from under the pedals and saw light. Retorted the wires through there: Sealed it with flex seal All internal wires now through the firewall. And no more door jam wire salad.
-
So this is bad eh?! LOL
-
Oh wow...glad you shared that. I'm definitely going to revisit the wire routing then. The directions actually suggested this method of routing which is what led me to it in the first place. But yeah definitely don't want it to burn down...

If anyone can answer the previously asked question about the facelifted R50's that would be great as I too and I'm sure others are wondering the same thing. The bumpers are the 2 things I dislike the most about the facelifted R50's.

I didn't know of the fog light wiring harness. But this is good to know I might retrofit a pair. However there is no fuse for the fog lights, that I did check.

Should probably add pics with this...
