Unfortunately there aren't any bolt on power gainers. You can play around a little bit with custom cold air intakes and better flowing mufflers, but it will be marginal. As mentioned above the only real power gains require MASSIVE projects, like engine swapping, turbo or supercharging like the 3.3 Xterra. So either buy one with the 3.5 or an Xterra or learn to live with the fact that these things don't make a lot of power. That being said, mine is severely overweight, and other than on the highway, I have never felt it had insufficient power to do what I needed it to do. Including recovering a boat with a hull half full of water uphill on a sandy slope.

It's really easy and pretty much self explanatory. The gauge cluster is only held in by 6 screws total. 2 in the top that hold the frame in and then 4 that hold the cluster. Remove them, pull out the cluster and replace the bulbs. They spin 1/2 circle, then pop out. You can use this thread as a DIY guide. Yeah that's waaaaaay too much work lol. Funny thing how his story ended, parted it out and bought an S4!! so I can skip those steps, keep my Pathy and enjoy the V8 in my S4

Hmmm...I was kidding with the V8, but let's pursue this idea for a minute shall we?! Hypocritically speaking, are there are any known V8's that would fit? Would it need to be Nissan? And just to be clear, it would pretty much require the entire engine bay and power train to be stripped out, right?!

Haha yeah the poor S4 has been super neglected. It's stored for the winter right now anyway though. But it hasn't received any new goodies or TLC at all in a while. I added the louvers purely for looks to be honest. Then when I installed the cold air intake which really is a hot air intake I figured louvers can help keep it a bit cooler in the summer.

Installed hood louvers over the weekend. Due to the wet moderate climate that I live in, I decided to place the louvers off to the sides where no electrical components were getting rained on. I also didn't cut the entire surface area out, rather drilled vent holes in spots that don't expose sensitive parts.

Yeah I'm familiar with the Moose on the Loose and Vermont Overland Rally etc... Florida road is pretty tricky from what I see on YouTube. One of the guys says it's doable on 33's but most people in this group own very lightly overland vehicles, not trail rigs. So Florida road is optional, not everyone will end up doing it. I know I won't! Too far from home to break something. But there will be other, less difficult trails, mostly class 4 roads and logging routes. We jokingly call these trips "expeditions" because we made a sticker for the last trip and we all know, it's not an expedition until you have a sticker to prove it lol. So it's really just about getting out, having some fun, enjoying this thing called nature, camping, driving and some wheeling.

Krypton is no longer making the kits. He has about 20 kits available that he will sell to clear his inventory. Last time I spoke to him about this he said he would announce the sale on NPORA when this will happen. Didn't give a timeframe though.

I think it would fit. The parts where it actually attaches are the same on both vehicles. There wouldn't be a need for reinforcement on the Q if there isn't for the Pathy. -

I carry my 33 on it as you see in the pic above. I've had it stay open for hours while I was working on lighting in the trunk. Absolutely no issues. When it's closed it is also supported by the latch system under the trunk so most of the time the weight is not focused on the corner alone. But like I said, it holds a lot of weight without any issues. -
X2 on poor quality from TAG. No first hand experience but from reading about experiences of people that did buy, many are bad. The XJ bumper fits as far as width of the vehicle is concerned. But the mounting is completely custom. The OEM bumper is not meant to carry weight so to mount it back into th same location would be strongly discouraged. Theexbrit did mount his there and he said it holds up, but I wouldn't trust it after having spent a lot of time thinking about how to mount it so that it will be bulletproof. This is why I ended up welding custom brackets to the chopped off brackets that come with it. The supplies brackets bolt on, which allows it to be removable, which is why I chose to maintain that function. But the brackets that are attached to the vehicle are all welded in place and reinforced triple-fold to ensure strength. My design isn't the only way of doing it but it worked well for me. It incorporates weight carrying leverage along the "frame" that's attached to the unibody (as seen in the second picture above) as well as gets support from the OE tow front tow points.

Ive been getting a clunk too when turning the wheel and i'm going over uneven terrain. I hope this is it, especially where I've been suspecting the sway bar. This would be the best case scenario as it is cheap and easy to fix. Good write up! (Yes I know it's old).

Yes this is one of the most popular wheeling weekends of the year. All I can say, the last 2 trips have been an absolute blast, very low key, unofficial event, no cost associated other than what you chose to spend. This year will be more technical than last year. It's an open invitation.

These bumpers are made for the Jeep XJ, but can be made to fit our rigs as the width is very similar. But it will take significant modifications to mount it up and reinforce it. I built my own brackets and welded them onto my "frame" and other locations. This is not an easy mod, and definitely not a bolt on mod, just a heads up.

Again, you need to take the time to do you own research. All the info is out there. Don't depend on other people to feed you your answers. This is your vehicle. There isn't a magic list that will make your pathfinder effective of ineffective. Sent from my Pathfinder

Decided to play around with some left over LEDs I had. Now I have 2 separate lights in my overhead console. One button will turn on night time map lights (red) and the other button will turn on the LED strip I added. Now I got some serious light in this truck! Sent from my Pathfinder

And one more bulb change in my gauge cluster lol. 3rd time's a charm, white LED's this time. Might look a bit bluish in the photo but it is pure white. Luckily this is a very easy job and takes no more than 5 minutes. So if the mood strikes me, there is no guarantee that it won't go back to red someday lol. Sent from my Pathfinder
