Somewhere on the forum and YouTube one of the members has a video showing how all the little rods and clips in the door work. It should be quite helpful when you are ready to dig into it. -

I did not use them, but Superlift upper control arms are supposed to make your ball joint angles better. I chose to buy new Moog grand cherokee coil springs rather than find old ones at a junkyard. Cut off the part of the coil that narrows in diameter. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/18-rear-spring-options-for-lifting-your-wd21-pathy/?do=findComment&comment=56 There is a bunch of info already posted in the forum, which I used when I lifted my 94. Browse around a bit and search and you too can find it. You can search the site with google which is way better than the forum search engine.

I've also eyed but never bought the AT2. Maybe check out the off-road Subaru site. I've done some browsing on there and the AT2 is one of the few all-terrain tires made small enough for Subarus, so they are well represented on there. If you are considering the Cooper AT3, keep the Mastercraft AXT in mind. Very similar, but more angular tread, and made by Cooper. I bought them for my Passport when I had it and really liked them.

I finally had a day off in a warmer day and got my driver side exterior door handle replaced. Midway through I got stuck on connecting the little rod to the handle and had to do some internet research. Since what helped me was on other sites, I thought I would share it here. To connect the clip on the handle to the L-shaped rod you have to leave the rod's base still inserted in the lower piece and push the top of it through the hole to the outside of the door (Thanks to http://www.answers.com/mobile/Q/How_do_you_replace_the_outside_door_handle_of_a_1995_Pathfinder#ixzz1M0hz1lff).It is so easy! I thought I had tried every way to do it, but didn't think of this. Also, this thread (http://www.nissanforums.com/hb-truck/203978-exterior-door-handle-replacement.html#/topics/203978?page=2&_k=frp6wl) has some great pictures of the pieces and what to expect inside your door. By the way, my door handle (Delo brand, I think) was about $5 on Amazon. We shall see how it holds up. I think I feel a little more flex in it than in the OEM one.

I did use Seafoam in the engine oil in my Passport (previous vehicle), but didn't notice much difference. I'm kinda scared to do it in my Pathfinder because of the nagging idea that the gunk is all that is holding the oil in!

If you think of it, report back in a few months and let us know how the two vehicles compare. I'm sure a lot of us will be contemplating Xterras in the future as Pathfinders continue to age. Specifically for me, how does power compare between the two? 180 horsepower doesn't sound like a lot more considering the larger size. Thanks!

In case you are still looking for it, my NAPA ordered Reline for me. I ended up getting the dealer to drain and fill because my drain plug was STUCK. Then I had to add the last two quarts.

Unless you need new tires right away and want to replace them with a larger size, I'd suggest driving it as is for a while and decide if you need a larger size tire and/or lift. Based on my experience, I wouldn't want to run larger than 31s with the stock engine. I did a very mild lift when I had to replace my shocks so I could do it all at once, but the amount off offroad driving I do compared to street driving didn't justify a lot of lift or large tires.

I have a 4-door and I really like the easy access to the back. I always eye all decent-looking 2-doors I see. They are certainly cool, and more distinctive. Being able to roll down rear windows is nice since I have a dog and newer has it's advantages, though all WD21s are over 20 years old anyway. My suggestion is that since you are considering a 2-door, you can probably get away with it and should go for it I like some of the colors of them, too, like the medium blue color.

I bought Skyjacker Hydros for under $150 on 4wheelparts and am happy with the performance, but they were a pain to install. I had to put in the bushings myself and the bushing/sleeve were too wide where it mounts to the front control arm and I had to cut them down on each side.

I really like the classic 4x4 look of those wheels. I was close to buying those Coopers last fall. Should be great.

Replacing Rear Shocks on a 92, anyone done this before?

A little grease will do wonders for getting the new shocks to slide onto the posts. I felt pretty stupid for fighting them so long before thinking of that. -
Replace those rods. Look around on the online parts stores for them. When I was needing to replace mine (looked about like yours), I found new ones were about $40 each. Kinda steep, but that's what's out there. I got blue poly Moog bushings and they look like yours. I like them.

I got my Moog JCG springs on. Using the calculations in some other thread, it looks like I have about 1.5 inches lift over new stock, probably more over 20 year old springs (I didn't measure beforehand). I cut the pigtails off with an angle grinder, which cut the spring really easily.

If you go to a Nissan parts website, they will have the part number. I just had to do this repair on both of my front doors. I hadn't seen this write-up, but the pictures would have been quite helpful. One of the other forum member has a youtube video in which he describes the whole door lock mechanism and all the connectors which helped me a lot. -
After your other post I went browsing for picture of the new one. Looks good. Did it come with the bonus cleaning supplies?

I was just about to post to see if anyone had used the Moog JGC coils, then I found this. So you got 3 inches of lift from the springs? How do you like them after a few months of use? Have they settled any, or still about the same height? Thanks!

What do you think of the Ranchos after a few months? I'm trying to decide if I want to spend the extra for Bilsteins or not.
