By the way, the converters seem to be a bit tough to find anymore, but I did see one at of all places, Walmart, for cheaper than I paid at a stereo shop (not for the Pathy, for our Acura). I think it was only like $10 or $15. Happy hunting, and good luck. It should be no biggie to hook the sub up without and aftermarket deck. Post if you run into any snags.

88, excellent idea with the vinyl. I've been scrathing my head for months looking for a good material that is long enough to cover the gap. That should work though. Good job on the install of the BL, its pretty easy. Mine took a long time because of rusted stuck parts and stuff, but its should be pretty easy normally. Did you have a problem getting the bumper to go back on and line up. I had to do some trimming with a cut off wheel of the bracket and those extension things that come with the kit, and the driver's side never did get nice and tight. It flopped around and sagged. I finally took it to a local muffler place and slipped the guy a few bucks to tack weld the bottom of the bracket to the frame.

Yes, its pretty easy. Get a line converter that attaches to a speaker wire and converts the signal to an RCA plug so you can run it to your amp (or you can find amps with speaker level inputs, but these are often lower end amps). Then find a switched power source, ideally the power going from the stereo to the power antenna, etc. and run it to the amp for the remote power. You can also use power from the cigarette lighter, the amp will just be on whenever the truck is, so you might get feedback through the speakers if you turn the stereo off and drive around, so just turn the volume all the way down if you want if off instead. From this point, just wire it up like any regular install.

That thing would be fun! Went out for a quick hop on some local power line trails with my dad last weekend. He's got a '54 Willys Jeep with a 327 and 35's. Not exactly a monster like that, but it feels like a freakin monster truck go-cart compared to the Pathy. Short wheelbase + big tires= whoooo-ha!

Very nice. I agree, those set off the black truck with the black tint really well. The spare is a nice touch too.

Ouch, mine starts to dip around 35-40+ actual driving on 31's. 3/4 tank regularly comes up around 75-85 miles on the highway (road trip), and I comfortably cruise 300+ miles before refueling somewhere below 1/4 tank left. Even on absolute low, warning light on like the other day, I could only squeeze in 18 gallons. Considering I have a 21 gallon tank or so, that's no biggie although I don't regularly or prefer to drive around low and suck up the BS in the bottom of the tank.

Hell, I'm from WA and will show you how to drive it if you're in doubt. There's no excuse for letting the rig sit idle and fester. Those wasp nest are nothing, I get them all the time here. The bastards built one over about 2 days in my BBQ after a good meal. Nothing like cranking the gas up high and ending up with some crispy critters.

Congrats man, good to hear things are finally looking up for your lift. I assume you'd highly recommend the Calmini's over the rest. This sucks in that I'm already spending $1500+ on the Acura this month and have sold and am moving out of my home. Anybody got a cot they'd let me lay my self on for a month or 2? After that, I hope to join you in the over-built front end ranks.

Can't help on the frame question, but I had the same with the bolt on the A-arm after an alignment at (the lying thieves) Les Schwab. Biggest sons-of-*%#... anyways. Took it to a local guy, and he used a helicoil and new bolt. Wham bam, quick and reasonable. I've driven on it over a year and have wheeled, "accidentally" jumped, etc. with no ill effects so far.

31's and about 15 around town, 19 or so on the highway. Not too shabby really, especially considering some of the other SUV pigs out the. FU-H2.

I had the water pump seize once in my old Camry. It was no fun, I was about 3 miles from home and had to drive listening to my belts slipping over the pulley. Then when I was about 1/2 mile from home water started spewing out of the pump and boiling out of the reserve tank, which got the belts wet which made even more noise. You could see where I had driven by the trail of water. Um, isn't that the part where you're supposed to... STOP?! Too bad about the hose Slick. In the grand scheme of things, its no biggie though. Like stubbing your toe. Annoying for a few minutes, then you forget about it.

That's just dim lighting and the champagne color hiding things. Its still got dirt and mud up to an inch thick or so in places 2 days later. Been too busy to wash her, hopefully tomorrow. That trip actually managed to quiet 1 sqeak outside, and 1 thud from my broken drivers seat. The cost was 1 smashed Hella fog light due to a P.O.S. no-drilling-required mounting kit. Heard a crunch and saw what looked like parts behind us on the trail. Not a good feeling, so I'm glad its just the light.
