Thanks guys. Washington has some cool stuff. Over here, there's lots of trees, mud, and water. If you go over the mountains to the east side, there's desert, rocks, sand dunes, etc. Yes, I put on the diamond plating. Its bed rail covers for a 96 S10/Sonoma, which I got used and cheap on Ebay. I borrowed the idea from 88.

We were wheeling alone in the middle of nowhere, so I'm taking no chances. This was shortly after we stopped to check out really sweet CJ that had rolled. Poor guy, he was really nice but bummed. I felt too bad for him to sneak a pic.

Then we moved on to the Evan's Creek ORV area, which is only about 5 miles away as the crow flies but about 20 miles by road. She got her snow finally, since we didn't really get any till March.

We decided we'd had enough stress and city life, so today was a spontaneous play day. Throw on some comfie clothes, and its off to the hills. First we went up the graded road to the Carbon River in Mount Rainier National Park. If it were a clear day, you'd see that we were right next to the mountian. Oh well. We decided to skip the 3.5 mile hike to the Carbon Glacier, since the clouds meant we wouldn't see much, and there was dirt and mud to be had.

You might try to test the calipers if you have a long fairly steep hill nearby, preferrably a few miles long. While going down a hill like this returning from a ski trip, my brakes started acting weird and pulling. Got out, and the hub was super hot, radiating heat out a foot or 2, but then I tried creeping a bit further and everything returned to normal. Soon after, the caliper froze after simply tapping the brakes on the freeway. That sucked! Mind you, I just tapped the brakes once mildly and that's all it took. Mine was a faulty caliper from Midas, but that could probably also be from the pins.

Its a different motor, but on 2 occasions after cleaning my engine and getting it wet (after mudding it) it would get water somewhere it didn't like even after protecting all the obvious areas with plastic bags. It would run intermittently like that, as well as super rough in higher RPM's. It would take like 2 or 3 days of just roughing it and driving to work, etc. since I had no other vehicle, and things would finally dry out. If your air filter, plugs, etc. check out, and you get no warning lights or computer issues, maybe its worth a shot to just cruise around gently for a few days.

A new end link and poly bushing set by Energy Suspension only costs $20-25, and it was a snap to install.

I feel ya. If my old 720 wasn't such a pig on gas and gutless, who knows, maybe I'd still be driving it. No power windows, locks, anything= less stuff to break. That thing was clean, super straight, and shined like it was off the showroom floor at 255K when I sold it. The Z24 was weak, but bullet-proof. The problem was, with 31's, it got 200 miles on a tank MAX. That's not cool when you're broke coming out of college. Still, it felt weird letting the old girl go. I'm sure your Titan is sweet in its own right, I like those things too. But kudos for keeping the Pathy around. If anything, at least you won't sweat taking it out in the dirt when you don't have to worry about messing up a brand new truck. Here's to the best of both worlds!

The K&N seems to be a fine option. I did mine at the same time as a jump to a Flowmaster 40 series muffler, and all together there seemed to be an increased pep. The general thought goes along the previously mentioed idea of an air pump. You have to put something in to get something out. So an increased airflow efficiency along with exhaust should yield results

I'd second the alignment issue, and suggest having it done before replacing probably spendy parts. After a decent front end crash, suspension parts can be thrown way out of whack. But in any case, if you go that route, see if they will warranty the alignment. Some shops locally will do so.

The best tires for your conditions are the hands down, top of the list, best mod you can do. Not to say mine are best, cause BFG M/T's suck balls in the rain, which happens occassionally around the western WA area. But tires get you where you're going. Then would come free snipping of the flares/fenders/etc. cause you get free of cost rub-free articulation and clearance of those new tires. Next would be the JCG springs with Tbar crank for pure bang for the buck, although this may be required because of mod #1. After that, we're getting picky. Many say a locker, and someday maybe I'll join them. Could be a body lift for an extra "ooof", a CB, roof rack for gear, K&N, etc. I did the K&N first, and is decent, but you really should do it at the same time as a more open intake and exhaust to expect an increase in power. There is also all sorts of armor, skids,.......... Happy mod'ing and wheeling!

Ooooh, Kitty Plunking. This as my cat just knocked something over upstairs. Grrrr. Is duct tape considered inhumane??? PBR is a means to an end. In college, there was a dive bar with $2 pitchers on Tues. night. It didn't matter how broke we were, me and friends could come up with $5 each and have a good night.

That's frickin awesome. Reminds me of the first rave experience. Way too many "underskilled/incapable" people doing some sad things they should really not do. Here's to the people who should stop but don't know any better!
