  1. Hiya! I am preparing to do a lot of cursing and swearing, but first, I am trying to get all I need to ta kle my noises passenger front wheel.... The spindle socket. Is the two prong important? It seems a challenge to purchase. I saw one for $19 on Amazon, SUNEX TOOLS 10202 4 Wheel Drive Spindle Nut Wrench https://a.co/d/0ast2kWS but it broke for some users. What do you recommend? I am probably going to follow this guy for install: I will be replacing my rotors, they got markings on them, so I'll finally replace my brakes, although I've had no issues since I bought this baby 7years ago....but the hub in the video -I have 4x4. I hope it will work itself out once I start taking things apart. The two prong docket is my biggest concern. Where do I find a durable one? I notice guy put somr sort of plate or washer on the socket when he is putting things backmtogether. What is that "plate"? Hub Socket Nut Kit 1/2" Drive 54mm&Front Adjusting Hub Nut Kit Fit for Landcruiser, Hilux 4x4, Nissan Patrol https://a.co/d/03CygeOf this one has lots of disk / plates. Am I over thinking things? Thank you in advance!!!!!!
  2. You're on! FedEX says it has arrived in town, but won't deliver til Monday
  3. Mind blown on "you cut the wire" thanks for the write up, it is well put together, thank you! I have also ordered a Four Seasons, again. I hope it comes with the said paperwork since the first time, it sure did not! I would love to know if yours comes with the paperwork as well.
  4. Wow!!!! Thank you for sharing! When I had ordered the Four Seasons, no paperwork was included, just a sticker talking about the oil. Thank you so very much for helping me out! This does make things easier for me!
  5. That's why a replacement like a a/c condenser or starter is really nice lmao
  6. Spare compressor? How does that happen? lol No worries, when you go the energy and time i'll be around. I am still waiting to hear back from both places.
  7. Interesting! I wonder as well. I had one place, PartsHawk, claim they can get their warehouse to get me a picture. I am waiting for that picture. I also hoping Four Seasons will get back to me. I wonder if I should just spend the $600+ on the Nissan compressor (if they truly have it in stock). This economy is absolute rubbish!
  8. Wow! That hose sounded like a massive headache!! If these oddities keep happening, I am either going to sink or swim as a person who just plays mechanic. I truly appreciate your insight and time you put into opening my eyes and your step by step instructions to help me escape this road block!
  9. Thank you for all.yhendetailed info!!! Why on earth didn't they just put a matching plug on the compressor side as what would easily connect to the engine side? If they did that to begin with, I would had just assumed a design change. The plugs not meshing is why I lack confidence. BTW, the dryer and condenser are new and no issues with them. It:s the compressor I keep hitting a road block with
  10. I appreciate the time and effort you put into trying to resolve my issue. So the new one has a large plug. The original has a large plug that plugs into something on the compressor, which then feeds the wire that has the plug that fits on the engine side. Am I understanding that I can cut off the large plug and take the old small plug from the previous compressor side and splice that to where the large plug is on the new compressor so it will be able to connect on the engine side?
  11. https://www.discountacparts.com/buynow/60-01276_NC this is what mine looks like, except it's got bearing issues and it's about 10yrs old
  12. There is only one to plug into my Pathy but there are two on the a/c unit. Just like my original post. I am not crazy, it is exactly what has always been there since I've bought this Pathy in 1999.
  13. It isn't from Rockauto. i am not sure how to get a real person on RockAuto to physically look at the parts. This one I am expecting to arrive today, tomorrow at the lastest, is from BuyAutoParts.com Hopefully, your a/c holds through the summer at least. Hope, hope, hope! I am having a similar issues with starters. Not exact. They are the right part, but DOA, or will work less than a handful of times and tap out. The one I rebuilt myself, nissan motor, aftermarket solenoid, works no problem! This has been an exhausting year of aftermarket parts & it's only June.
  14. Thank you for the information! I am not that experienced with electrical. I get what you are saying. I re ri Ed my 4th incorrect one yesterday. After talking to customer service, which I did before I even placed the order and they still sent me the wrong one -this new customer service claims they were able to verify themselves and that I am receiving a misboxed one. They say they're shipping me a replacement next day shipping.
  15. That's cool that someone took interest in helping you. I have not having such luck. Some are even treating me like I am crazy and wasting their time. I know my baby is almost 30yrs, so it makes it even tougher. I can't go to Autozone or O'Reilys, they have to order the part, according to their website.
  16. It definitely is weird! And now, extremely frustrating. The It's nearly 30yrs old and either ppl I contact think I am bonkers and don't want to help me or I keep running into the same road block. I do not see how I can get by with just the single wire with how it is suppose to plug into a smaller plug and the incorrect ones keep coming with a large plug.
  17. Yes, that was one of the ones I have ordered. I had orded the GDP as well, and same issue. I had contacted someone on Ebay who had the same stock image for Four Seasons, but they said it only had the one wire.
  18. What I have received from two different manufacturer attempts through RockAuto and had asked for a pic from someone on Ebay and they all were this: It is missing the secondary wire that comes from the back area. I attempted to attach that pic what is in my 95. Any suggestions? Ideas. The plug on the attached image above is similar to the large plug that is "bolted" down in the stock photo below.
  19. Glad it is working out for you! That's tremendous! O Too hard to find! Sucks now that if you need something highly important, you just have to let your party sit a week until the part arrives. I've had my 95 since 99, and it's a bloody awful not even be able to go to AutoZone/ O'Rielys and they no longer carry radiator hoses. Radiator hoses!!! At least, not in Northwest Ohio Be sure to update us once you got your Pathy restored.
  20. You pay insurance to just drive on the he road, unfortunately. They don't like parting with the money the law says they:the entitled to. I hope the sloppy driver pays -i'd be crying if I found Pathy like that! Especially with how it's getting harder to find parts
  21. I managed to squeeze my man-hands from above with the Liquid Wrench and git r done! Woot woo! I damaged the 27 year old air duct attempting to remove it. It was cracked, but that's not where it broke hahaha. I'm such a Pam Poovey! ? I poured out the old oil and got about 3oz out of that. I saw a video where the bloke recommended replacing the drier every time you replace the compressor. Is that a good rule of thumb? The drier is probably 18yrs old. Any other recommendations? Yes, I'll put in all new belts.
  22. Hopefully someone can guide me. I am in the process of replacing the a/c compressor and the bolts underneath, are not budging, so far. I am just using extender bars to reach the bolts from underneath. I cannot reach both bolts with liquid wrench due to typical rice burner stuff being in the way. Is accessing these bolts on a creeper my best bet or is there another angle I haven't figured out that would be better? Lastly, any recommendations on how much lubricant to put in it? I know the housing says 6oz but concerned about residual oil in the system and not wanting to be "over" on the a/c oil. Thanks in advance!?
  23. Thank you for the heads up. I expect many swear words in my future! And maybe, some tears.
