  1. Does anyone have the copy of the FSM for a 1991? I believe I usually used the FSM for 1993 or 1994 because they didn't have 1991. If anyone has it Ill send you my email if you could share. Thanks!!
  2. the only product I know of to almost do what your doing are these adjustable rear end links https://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/nissan-pathfinder-c-38.html/nissan-pathfinder-19851995-wd21-pathfinder-c-38_1321.html/19851995-wd21-pathfinder-suspension-components-c-38_1321_593.html Not cheap though. I have the stock links, most people with a 3 inch suspension lift do not mess with the links. I have never had any issues, It didn't move the rear end any noticeable amount.
  3. Oh awesome thanks a lot! I am glad to hear there is a build thread. I would really appreciate some pictures if you have the time. I will PM you my email so it makes sending them easier if that helps, otherwise you can post them here.
  4. Yeah I live in So-cal, no rust problems. the paint is definitely gone so I could see it being a problem in certain areas. I have had them a few years and they don't show anything but some surface rust. you can probably paint it with some Hi temp BBQ paint or something.
  5. Good point. I also left everything nice and wobbley till I got everything started then started tightening everything. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  6. Do you mean the track bar? Calmini has one listed on their site. Just navigate around from the link I left you above. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  7. Wow those links are nice! I replaced the bushings in mine and would rather buy the HD links next time. I still have a bit of rear end steer when I am on and off the gas at highway speeds. I have a 3in Calmini lift, I installed a bit lower profile bump stops for upper and lower, and also installed T case bushings that dropped it a bit to help with CV angle a tad. mine almost bind slightly when at full droop on a lift. I am careful about driving it in 4x4 and taking weight off a tire. Have never had a CV problem. I have replaced them once because of torn boots. My biggest problem has been ball joints. I eat up about 1 set a year. They do not like the off roading/ maxed out angle. Your pathy looks great! I love a nice Red pathy like mine!! What intake do you have? I also have a VG33, running on the stock ECU and intake with a full exhaust and cams. I have a mechanical rear locker, I like it, but the play in it drives me a bit nuts on the highway. I am not sure of there was too much lash in the gear when it was assembled, or if that is just what these lockers are like, but you have to let the drive line take a set nicely with the clutch, before putting much power into it. I would love to move to an ARB so I can switch it off, but this locker has been fine with tire wear and road use. Why did you decided against the E-fan? I am looking to install one as I have an upgraded alternator and my Fan clutch is shot.
  8. I dont think you will see much of a difference, I do not know the springrate difference but that may be it besides the height. The jeep could end up stiffer or softer. I have rear springs from calmini, This gave me about 3 inches of lift in the rear. ( I have their full suspension lift front and rear) As you raise your rear end up you will need to make the same correction in the trackbar I beleive. Calmini sells a spacer for that as well. https://www.calmini.com/detail.php?b=1&m=3&t=2&p=624&n= I always carry a bunch of weight in the back. A full load of tools, parts, and whatever I am camping with, a long with a rear bumper/tire carrier. I have about 300-500 in the back and on my roof rack at all times. I have some In-coil airbags. I love them!! Helps me level out my pathy when it is loaded, and increases the spring rate enough for off roading a pathfinder when it is loaded with gear or people. Mine had always been soft in the back when I was heavy, I was constantly rubbing my tires. I installed the airbags, they can be aired from 5-35 psi. They are great! When I am off roading/ commuting with normal load and two people I run about 10 psi. If I want maximum flex I go down to 5. When I am heavy, towing, or want to stiffen it up for just highway use, I run it up to about 30-35. It really stiffens up the pathfinder!! I love the, I have had the same bags for about 4 years. Never got a hole or leak. They install super easily. I believe I may have bought a taller bag then the one I am linking, because I installed the taller springs. I am linking the bag for a stock pathfinder, which you would use if you use the spacers. http://www.sdtrucksprings.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=6961&gclid=Cj0KCQjw28_XBRDhARIsAEk21FgtvZMqPcQHwxrPw5FanQTvVFXkGm_LuEffGSzafWlNmsvhYHFqlN8aAg-kEALw_wcB
  9. I am looking into boosting my pathfinder, It is my last step in upgrades for it. Do you happen to have any more info on your build? I would love some pictures of your turbo routing. Do you know any part numbers or info on his megasquirt set up? Do you still have the stock intake manifold, throttle body, and MAF unit? Any idea on if he is using stock injectors or went up to something bigger and what they are? I have a VG33 running on the VG30 ECU, I put in Euro VG30 cams, did some head work, and rebuilt the rest of the engine stock, stock intake and full upgraded exhaust with headers. I am looking to dive into doing this because I need to replace my injectors as they have 380,000 miles on them and show there age with some missfires and a bit leaky. They are pretty much the only old part on the truck. I am ready to spend the money and go the full mile to do the turbo and ECU, but I am having a hard time finding much info on a successful build and what parts to start with. I have the abilitys to do the work and fab, and the ECU I will be learning on with help from a buddy. I really appreciate your time answering my questions. Any and all help would be great!!!
  10. I have pacesetter headers, they work great. They have an armor coated and a non coated set. I bought the standard ones, no problems. https://pacesetterexhaust.com/products/90-95-nissan-hardbody-pathfindr-4wd-headers-5-spd I have had good luck with them. It was a bit of work to get them in, I have the luxury of a lift, so I was able to move around as needed. I cannot remember what all I had to do, but to have it on jack stands or car ramps would be a good idea. It is a bit of work to get them into place over the manifold studs, but once you find the sweet spot it falls right in, bit of pushing and pulling to get them to mesh up at the y pipe to tail pipe. I think my hardest part was just getting the nuts on and tightening them without having much room. Both of my pathfinders with and without headers have had quite the leak at the joint below the drivers feet. Make sure that is mating nice and square before you bolt it up, not using the bolts to pull them together as I had done. I always formed a leak on the top side of those flanges. Make sure you go in after a couple hundread miles/ good ammount of heat cycles, and tighten up the hardware on the exhaust manifold. Mine took a set and worked themselves loose a bit. The only other problem I have had is that the Y pipe sits a bit lower than stock, so I have dinged 2 of them on rocks which kinda moved things around a bit, no big deal though. I have exhaust studs not bolts. Unsure on what differences it would make, might be easier.
  11. I may be wrong but I seem to remember an ABS box behind the piece of plastic that mats the center console cluster to the carpet over the tranny hump. Directly in front of your shift boot. I may be remembering wrong because it was a long time ago. I have never had an ABS light except when my fluid ran low. I have a 1991. I also have the same exact 4x4 light problem, with the gas it stays more solid. and otherwise flickers, all while in 2wd. in 4x4 i have no light. has been like that quite a while, just haven't messed with it. Next time I get it in the air I will take a look at it. Do you have the part number of the switch on hand still? Thanks!!
  12. I believe that is from the earlier WD21. I think those are the same as mine on my 1991. Mine look like a cast materiel instead of the steel tube like my 1994. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  13. Would you be able to post the carquest or dormant part number? I need a new hose as well. Thanks!!! Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  14. None of your imgur pictures are loading. They say it is no longer available. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  15. I am very interested in a how to for the dash. I have done a lot of work on my Pathfinder, it is near mint inside and out except for my really really cracked dash. Do you live in Glendale CA? Pathy is looking good!!! Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  16. Cool sounds like a plan, thanks for the info! Happy new year! Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  17. Yep exactly, is the adjustment you were talking about the backlash or somthing to do with the friction disks? Thanks for your help!
  18. Hello, My brother and I picked up another pathfinder a while ago. I have a spare Lsd laying around, this pathfinder has an open diff, I want too take the Lsd apart and give it a check through then put it in. This setup has different gearing than my current setup. My question is can I swap the gears on the LSD too avoid swapping the front differential? Thanks everyone!
  19. Thanks for the input! My brother and I tore it down, realized it was behind the t-belt and stopped there. I don't want to start doing that in a parking lot in Baja. So we towed it back across the border and took a different vehicle down. Sad to leave the Pathfinder behind but a bad day in Baja is better than a good day at home! Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  20. Hello, I am in Baja, water pump bearing just went out and let loose all my coolent. These are all fresh parts 10k miles,so I am not worried about doing a t-belt, I want to fix it and get it home. Can I do this without disturbing the t-belt? Any tips? I have a water pump and am currently working on it in a parking lot. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  21. So I took my module out of the back, it is different between manual and auto. I beleive there is probably a difference between my 1991 and the 1993+. When trying to use the 1993 FSM to check the module my plug had a different pin out. Does anyone have an FSM for any older than 1993? Does anyone have a cruise control from a manual they want to sell? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  22. Ok that's what I thought. Just making sure I wasnt missing something Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks for the reply. I just checked all the fuses, they are all good. I'll try to get to that module and stare at it for a while. The relay clicks when I turn on cruise, but try to replace it and see if it works. I see a lot mentioned about the contacts in the steering wheel, that doesn't matter in my case with the headlight switch correct? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  24. Hello everyone. Trying to figure out this cruise control issue. I have a 1991. this is what I have checked, switches and rubber stops behind clutch and brake with multimeter, checks out. vacuum line and solenoid holds vacuum. Cruise control vacuum pump works and all functions operate when I jump the wires manually. Headlight switch and cruise controls buttons on headlight switch all operate properly confirmed with multimeter. Speedometer and tach work. When I press the cruise control rocker switch on the dash I get the green light "cruise cont" but no matter what I do I don't get the "cruise " light. I'm not sure what else to check. Is there any relays for CC? What is their location? Is there a computer or control module? I have read about steering wheel contacts. This wouldn't apply to me right? Because I have a headlight switch mounted buttons? Any ideas are appreciated, thanks! Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  25. If you want a cheap replacement for road use go with whatever brand has a lifetime warranty if any of your parts houses offer them. KYBs at the carquest near me are free replacement. If you are doing off road use if get a stiffer shock, rancho or Bilstien as the guy above me said. I have the adjustable rancho 9000s on mine right now. I like them. I have a set of resivoir Bilstiens I am going to put on next. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
