  1. Blasted some welds on my SFD in the front end. I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone running this type of setup. Truck feels way more sturdy up front. Going for alignment in the am!

  3. I plan on going with 4.875 gears from Nismo. https://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/nissan-pathfinder-ring-and-pinion-gears-by-nismo-1990-2004-rear-h233b-5143-p-5648.html?osCsid=fabpkik7ik50jfu4guu87p2r82 I think the 5.143 or 5.857 would be too high a gear unless you are building a straight rock crawler/ off road rig. I still want to be able to go 80mph on the freeway. Parts are about 1000$ for both sets front/rear. Plus labor and master install kit maybe 150$. I plan on going big! Gears and lockers when the time comes...
  4. Depending on which engine your truck has and also the stock gearing. Mine is an '01 VQ35DE with stock 4.3 gears. Plans are to to re-gear soon. But for now seems fine on off freeway speed/power seems fine. Just more fuel thirsty with the 35's.
  5. Pick up the May issue of 4Wheel parts "Off-Road Adventures" magazine. There is an article/profile and history of the Flowmaster company, products and applications.

  7. I love my Flowmaster.. Dual in/out setup(VQ35DE). They have a wide variety depending on preferred application. They are west coast easy to talk to if you have questions... Then again I have heard lots of Magnaflow for this VG33 you speak of..?
  8. Oil change, new filter and these are the plan for today.

  10. Recharging my AC today. As it's been over 95° here the past three days in a row. Good news is the Efan is keeping the engine cool in the heat. And replacing front wheel bearings, inner/outer and races. Also going to pull my door side rear view mirrors to repaint the moulding part as they are peeling some..

  12. Anything upcoming? Two months in Colorado I was kicking myself in the teeth for NOT driving out.. Lots of snow covered trails and pretty red mud to play with out there.
  13. 4.875, Lockers, Bumpers, Air... The list continues.. Its time to go WHEELIN'

Homemade tube style front with winch plate, light mounts and stinger. Rear wrap around double reinforced tube style with integrated hitch receiver.

  14. Many of the guys on here have blacked out their badging and grille with plasti-dip. So I've seen. Turns out looking nice, fairly cheaper than buying replacement parts for stuff that's not damaged. And gives the truck a different look. It's an alternative. Just food for thought.
  15. I think it is plastic.. I was looking at this one too.. I'd have to fab an air box (watertight) to fit my K&N.. 4x4parts.com 427.00$

  17. California is a real PITA due to emissions regulations. The CA primary cats for my 01 R50 list at like 895$ US or something close to that. I needed all four and a muffler. I went with catco primary's and catco universals for the secondary's. Since they will not shop to CA I had mine shipped to Colorado. They were significantly cheaper about 350$ each and 120$ each for the secondary's. . I have a few tricks up my sleeve to get it to pass smog as I have already failed in the past I'm now locked into a smog check every other year. I'm still waiting to see my test results come Dec when it's due. As for the muffler I went with a Flowmaster dual in/out and custom high back tail pipes. 2.5" in/out.
  18. E fan might slightly help mpg. Mostly a slightly noticeable power gain due to reduced strain on the engine. Manual locking hubs helped me noticeably by reducing drag from the cv's. When on the street hubs are unlocked and the front wheels are truly free to roll with less drag. But with 35" MTR's I'm down around 9-11 mpg... Luckily I don't have to drive far to work.
  19. More specifically the build date. Should be located inside the drivers door frame.
  20. LE the 4x4 would be a dial on the dash. SE 4x4 is a manual transfer case shifter. Leather was an option on my 2001 SE. As well as the sunroof.
  21. Got me a hitch-mounted swing out. Receiver and carrier will be modified when new bumpers are built and installed.. (coming soon)
