  1. You can always try changing out your in cabin air filter. Replacement filter is about 16$ easy to DIY. Vids on YouTube take you through step by step.
  2. Ugh... started on the timing chain etc... Thermostat was bad for sure.
  3. Was in the process of hooking up my trans cooler and while running the engine heard some slight noise from the front of the engine. Decided to open the water pump cover and inspect the timing chain... Chain has some slack. No buenõ. From here the plan is to order new : timing chain, chain tensioners, chain guide rails, water pump, thermostat and radiator cap. As well as have the radiator rodded and flushed by a specialist.(70$). Parts alone including radiator service will cost me about 600$. Thankfully my good friend is a mechanic with a full shop. This's all starts Thursday. Out of commission for a few days as well.
  4. Sounds like end links on your sway bar. Fairly inexpensive and easy to do yourself.
  5. Got my trans cooler. Mounted it. Going to wire it up and run the lines tomorrow.
  6. Trans cooler coming up next

Did mine a long time back, B&M High Flow. You won't regret it!

  7. Yanked my seats out. Removed my sub woofer box and 2 12's to completely shampoo 14 years of dirt, spilled soda, crumbs and loose changed from underneath. Have a portable bissel here at the house. And it works bomb. Plus a heavy dose of hot H2o and OXY Clean!!
  8. I have heard RockAuto.com has some pathy springs. I use to have Automotive Customizers +2" springs all the way around. I still have them in front and run modified WJ +6.5" coils with adapters in the rear. Currently on 35's. The AC springs came from 4x4parts.com.
  9. Catco.com has them for us. Slightly cheaper. Esp if you are not in CA. Is it for sure not just the o2 sensor?

  11. I had a bad exhaust related buzz/vibration a while back. I ended up doing the entire exhaust but the noise was coming from inside the muffler. Best way to check is to crawl up under that mug and have a look while a friend you trust gives some revs..
  12. Removed some very much unwanted stock BS components from under the trunk end of the truck. Also reconfigured my EFan to run as a secondary rather than a primary. Followed by a coolant flush and change. No more "Ching-a-Ling Bling Bling" sound from under the truck due to an abandoned spare tire holder rattling around like TwoChainz.. Rear bumper you my dear friend are next to go.
  13. Same as mine (removed). But I have no problems because of it. I do not believe it throws any codes for the engine light. Do you have access to an OBD II scanner? What codes are you getting? May be something unrelated..?
  14. Made my front end a "Missing Link" cross member for the SFD. And got my skid plate cut and bends made! Just need to drill mounting holes and put it on tomorrow. Pics will follow completion.
  15. I'd have to say these questions should be directed to SteeevO @ RuggedRocks. He will know the answers.
  16. Custom front skid plate in the works!

  17. Alignment done this am. A while back I noticed an inconsistency in the RPM while holding the throttle at approximately 1700-2200 RPMs. It would gradually climb to the noted range then bounce down and back up consistently.. Going to flash the ECU this afternoon at my buddy's shop. As well as replace the tranny mount.
  18. Blasted some welds on my SFD in the front end. I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone running this type of setup. Truck feels way more sturdy up front. Going for alignment in the am!

  20. I plan on going with 4.875 gears from Nismo. https://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/nissan-pathfinder-ring-and-pinion-gears-by-nismo-1990-2004-rear-h233b-5143-p-5648.html?osCsid=fabpkik7ik50jfu4guu87p2r82 I think the 5.143 or 5.857 would be too high a gear unless you are building a straight rock crawler/ off road rig. I still want to be able to go 80mph on the freeway. Parts are about 1000$ for both sets front/rear. Plus labor and master install kit maybe 150$. I plan on going big! Gears and lockers when the time comes...
  21. Depending on which engine your truck has and also the stock gearing. Mine is an '01 VQ35DE with stock 4.3 gears. Plans are to to re-gear soon. But for now seems fine on off freeway speed/power seems fine. Just more fuel thirsty with the 35's.
