I take it you were able to maintain the stupid bolt pattern that Nissan fitted? So does that mean you pulled that axle off a chevy? i think our wheels bolt right on and vise versa. Cant wait to see video, what did you use for spring perches? -Kyle

Well, the reason all of the guys running bigger tires either switch out their rims or go spacers, is because the bigger tire, usually a 31 and up (there are exceptions to that rule) rub on the spring perch on the strut assembly. So you need to move the tire away from the spring perch in order to make the car work with the new tires. As a result of moving the wheels out, it's new turning radius of the tire itself now has a larger arc at which the tire can rotate when you turn the steering wheel. So it starts to rub on the inner fender and flaps. So in your case with not wanting to cut anything (can't blame you) it's gonna be a fun game of math, figuring out the exact width of your tires tread edge to tread edge, and how much wider that is than current tire are on their now (which I feel safe in assuming clear, lol) I'm going to go home and try and take some picture maybe even a video of what my brain is thinking will work. -Kyle

In all seriousness though, titans have the same 2 pot caliper that we do, or atleast look the same, I really wouldn't anticipate any braking Upgrade, I've been trying to get my hands on a set of 300zx calipers to see if it's possible to make them work. No such luck getting a set If I can't , I'm going to do the slotted upgrade with a set of hawk pads. -Kyle

You need to either ground out the safety switch, basically tricking the ecu into thinking that it's in park. I have a complete, pathfinder specific auto to manual swap guide in my favorites, I'll post it later when I get home.

How would that work for a 2"? Just shorter the strut mount tube or does the angle have to change along with it? -Kyle

Did you notice it right away? Like just stamp on the brakes and it should kick in? And what is your opinion on the rotors that go over the hub? I've seen those on ebay and I'm not convinced. I need to over haul my brakes. -Kyle

When i got in my fender bender a few months ago, it was wet asphalt, and i'm sure my duratracs didn't help. But i locked up my brakes and that's why i slide into them. If my ABS had worked, probably would have stopped in time. But my brake fluid has never been changed (been close to 4 years now, oopsy) Pads were changed ~20,000 miles or so ago, and the only reason i took my rear drums off was to paint them black. Bleeding everything is in order for me, clutch and brakes. Check my pads (Might do the Stop tech upgrade) and adjust my rears. But im with rebelord, i cant hear anything checking. I've also had a bad wheel wobble since i put my Pro-comp wheels and Goodyear tires, still have yet to track down if that's just crap wheels or my rotors are warped. But its only under braking i feel a pulsing from the brake pedel. Very slow, not like a rapid ABS pulse. So i dont know whats going on with my car, but a major inspection is in order. -Kyle

To continue with Devons point on cv angle. Another member has discovered that a company called Rockford cv makes a higher end. I. E stronger than stock cv boot, I have them on my car, they are a thicker material and Much less likely to tear at the extreme angle. They are fairly easy to install, but be ready for a greasy good time. (jeez that sounds weird) haha -Kyle

Im fairly sure in saying that the trailing arms are the same for all the models from 1996 -2004 i think the only suspension that changes in the face lift was something in the front suspension (use different shocks) But as far as 96 to 97 im 99% sure it probably fine, unless 2WD and 4WD are different. so back to square one with your question, haha -Kyle

Hello all, I've decided i want to learn how to weld, and as much as i want to learn TIG, cant really afford one. But I don't want to do stick or flux core. My budget is $500 out the door, for just the welder, i under stand ill need a cart, gas blah blah, that's later. So i really dont know what i should get, but i mainly want to be able to make things like exhaust systems, headers, engine mounts, body work, things of that nature, normal 110v ish so i dont have a 220 put in, This looks a good deal, with some cash left over. http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/autoarc-130-mig-welder-value-package But anything with "value package" usually scares the crap out of me. I can confirm that gen one xterra's and r50 With the 3.3 have pretty much have the same engine. Apart from the exhaust manifolds, AC and a few other misc item. But as long as you can get the stock line set and not at too acute of an angle for the line, it should be fine. Personally I'd pull a unit from a wreck. -Kyle
