  1. I also did the VG33 Swap. Every connector goes in the same spot. I helped a guy here in Colorado do the swap too. He forgot to plug in the knock sensor that is under the intake manifold. But yes like Precise said Please post pics or atleast give us the colors of the wires at the plugs with no homes .

  4. it sure is effective. When i get stuck in 4 wheel drive i turn it on for that extra power and it helps. Now on the streets in town i have no idea.

  6. Will the VG30E out of a 92 pathfinder bolt up to the transmission in a 92 pickup? Please answer quick I have a guy wanting to buy my old VG30E . Would he have to do alot of Fabrication to get the VG30 into it?

  8. What year of grand cherokee and get them stock height for the jeep or find one that has a lift? What is a good website for new torsions? In doing this"lift" how much of a lift will this give me?

I am needing to know if i go with https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/pathfinder-custom-suspension-lift-p-54.html is there anything else that i will need to get to have this lift kit work besides shocks? Please help. If you know of a better suspension lift that is CHEAP and around 2 or 3 inches please let me know .
  10. Well My NOW wife and I got up to our own wedding! I put everything together just in time to leave town and get to utah! Damn the VG33E has a BIG noticeable difference then the VG30E !

      Ya I still need to swap those in from my old motor. I'll do it with the timing belt when I do that soon.

  11. distributor is in and WoW that intake manifold was Nasty. It is new new looking now . I have alot of pics during this Conversion. I just Don't know how to post them up on this forum.
  12. I have to take off the intake manifold to get enough space to access 1 of the bolts mounting the distributor on my VG30E. On the VG33E the two bolts are easy to get to. So i will have to take off both intake manifolds to put in my VG30E distributor. I might as well Clean the intake manifold while it is off! I have to go walk to the parts place to get manifold gasket set for the VG33E so i will go and get a can of brake cleaner or carb cleaner to clean the manifold while it is off of the engine!
  13. I am nearing the end of Installing a VG33E into my 92 Pathfinder. I have both Distributors(VG30E and VG33E). I see and know they are different connectors and coil is in dist on VG33E and the cam sensor NOT Crank sensor like in VG30E. Basically It appears by all of the wiring diagrams that , IF the VG30E distributor will slide in to replace the VG33E distributor . It would be alot easier then having to re-wire connections and chase wires. I am a Good mechanic but I HATE electrical. I can do it , But it is a pain.
  14. Hi there, I have tried looking for this question or info in this and other forums. I need to know if my VG30E distributor will work in my VG33E with out putting my 3.0 crank in. I am using the VG33E crank and cams for now. I am out of money ! please help !
  15. I Have a 96 pathfinders VG33E in my 92. I made a bracket for the vg33e alternator to be located on 92's side. and oil pan had to be dented alittle so very little.
  16. I am staying with my VG33E crank. i dont have the time or money any longer.
  17. the Engine is out(VG30E) now i am swapping over brackets and accessories. I am going to be putting the VG30E fuel rails and injectors in the VG33E also i am using the VG30E upper plenum and MAF! From what my research and my brother in-law have came up with is in doing this, I will NOT have to adjust timing. Also i will NOT be running rich.. Between Job,Kids,and my other half, it is hard to get enough time to do all this in one shot!!
  18. Anyone recommend engine mounts ? Hydralic or Solid? Were to buy some good but cheaper side of the scale?
  19. I have an A frame with a 1.5 ton chain hoist the rolls on the top iron beam. Lifting the engine is light work!
  20. Damn Pulling this engine has been a major pain in My A$$. VG33E is going to be worth it!! On another thread here someone said"There is no replacement for Displacement".

  21. yeah. Engine Will be out by the end of the night . Between kids,my fiance,friends,and family damn , I just want my Pathy done. lol . She will not be DONE for awhile but the engine will be the Shi# VG33E. So anxious.
  22. alright ! got the Torque converter bolts out .... YAH!!! taking a break now .
  23. how Fu#%ing tight are the torque converter bolts? I broke a 14mm 3/8 drive socket trying to break them free .. I can't even break one of them loose. I got the tranny to move about 3/4 inch back with out removing rear drive line. And removed the lower shield and now i am fumbling around with the other plate between the engine and tranny to were we can get a socket on the bolts from drivers side. and Snapped a socket . I am now looking for a 14mm 1/2 inch drive socket for my impact wrench . HELP !!!
  24. Well i am going with a floor jack tomorrow under my tranny to move it back the inch or two i need so i dont have to deal with the Headache of the front diff..
