  1. I was just curious, not trying to start an argument. IMO, if you want more stuff to mess with get the ka24de and turbo it, just don't expect to find all the answers on here cause very few people go that route. If you want a decent power increase without too much work put in a vg33 from an r50 pathy.
  2. I would have to pull a tranny + transfer case from a 4x4 hardbody/pickup that has a ka24de/ka24e since i cant mate a KA to a v6 tranny. That sounds right to me. No input other than that, just one question. Why not just get a vg?
  3. I've heard nothing but bad things about the remanufactured cv's. I think most people on here say only to buy new Nissan half shafts and Rockford boots to keep them safe.
  4. Oh ya I hadn't thought about the A/C. It might not be necessary but it sure is nice to have here in the summertime. Did you get the fender switched over without any problems? But ya, just let me know about the tires when you're ready.
  5. Nice, hopefully everything switches over easily. I'd probly be interested in buying those tires if you wanna get rid of them. And ya, I really haven't found moderate trails, just desert roads or extreme stuff like the Robledo mountains. Where do you guys usually go?
  6. He is very dense, don't bother arguing with him.
  7. Oh that sucks, at least you're ok tho. I just looked at the ad again and couldn't tell if that one is even 4 wheel drive. I can only see one shift lever in the interior pic. If that is the case and you wanna have 4wd it'll take a lot more than just swapping parts over. But like I said I don't know how hard fixing that front end would be.. Maybe someone who has more experience with that can chime in. As for wheeling often, no I don't. My main problem is company, none of my friends have 4x4 vehicles. I'm pretty confident in my trucks but hate the idea of being stuck in the desert, so I don't go wheeling alone anymore. We should go together tho and that problem is solved.
  8. Haha I saw that ad too, no $ to invest right now or I would have that r50. Personally I don't know how hard it would be to replace the front end but there doesn't seem to be too much damage really. What do you want it for (dd, parts)? If you don't care how it looks and want a 2nd vehicle, you could probly just replace the radiator and I bet it would run. Only problem with that is if the mounts are messed up to attach the rad. to. If you can't get it streetworhy then you could part it out. I say go for it if you have some tools and time.
  9. Sad to see another pathy go, but that's definitely a good choice. It seems like the X is the way to go if you like wd21's but want something newer. So will this be your offroading toy since you have a dd already?
  10. Installed new trailing arm on the r50, test drove and no more death wobble!
  11. I really like how that turned out.
  12. Good luck, looks like you've got everything planned out pretty well.
  13. Now go test it on some trails and let us know how it goes.
  14. That's pretty neat, simpler than I imagined I guess. I don't know how to weld yet, so I'd have to pay someone to do that, but I'm sure it would still be cheaper than buying new coils. Thanks for the pics!
  15. Looks good! Thanks for the info, I've never heard of people modifying the struts like that. It sounds like a good alternative to buying new coils for a suspension lift. Do you by chance have a pic of the strut assembly after the modification?
  16. Put the front sway bar back on. Then I noticed I'm missing 2 of the bolts for my driver side auto hub, $11.71 for the pair from the dealer and I have to wait til Wednesday or Thursday for them to get here. At least it stopped raining for now..
  17. That sounds like a lot of work to trade for a pair of axles, I'd say go for it. And yes, please get us pics of the pathy on 44's.
  18. Put new shocks on the 92 and then tested it out in my yard a bit, feels much better now.
  19. Looks good! How long did it take to install?
