  1. Hi Guys, I am in the process of tackling the REAR bushings now that I've got the FRONT ones taken care of. I noticed that 4x4Parts advertise the following for our WD21 and was wondering if the location of these bushings fit in the RED spots below (8 locations / 2 pieces in each). Please confirm? Also do you happen to know the ENERGY SUSPENSION part number for these bushings? What about the remaining REAR PAN HARD ROD bushings and the REAR SWAY BAR Bushings. Can they be sourced at ENERGY SUSPENSIONS? William
  2. Thank you Edicer2. Hoping to get those measurements soon dude
  3. Hi Edicer2, Loved your HID setup. The light output is quite impressive. I plan to do something similar myself and hope you can help me out. I need the following dimensions "A", "B", "C" and "D" please: Note: I will need "A" and "B" dimensions without the gap William
  4. Hi, I am 100% the RED-marked bushings are for the Upper Control Arm and I've replaced those already. However, can you kindly confirm that the GREEN-marked bushings fit on the Lower Control Arm where they are marked on the diagram below in GREEN: William
  5. Nice. I feared this will be a show-stopper. On with it then
  6. Dude, I believe the "Two of Beck/Arnley 101-3441 Upper Control Arm Bushings" are already included in the "Energy Suspension 7.3102R Suspension Control Arm Bushings" Hopefully, you did not buy them both. William
  7. Thx for the feedback guys. Enlightening as always What if in the future, I went ahead with my VG33E engine swap (which is quite tempting to be frank). Can I reuse these Doug Thorleys or I will need to get a new set of headers for the VG33E? William
  8. Thx My1Path. I'll keep that in mind. I only planned on wrapping those sections of the pipe that had stock Heat Shields on them as I plan to throw my rusty shields away. Do you recommend a specific Pipe Thickness? I'm also putting an order for Doug Thorley headers to complete this 2.5" Pipe upgrade. They are Ceramic Coated and according to the installation instructions, putting any form of exhaust wrap on these headers voids the warranty :S Now the DT headers specs: HEADER EXIT: DRIVER PRIMARY/COLLECTOR: 1 1/2" - 2 1/2" DRIVE: 4WD Will I need in that case a 1.5->2.5" adaptor between the output of the headers and the new 2.5" Exhaust Pipe? William
  9. I came across plenty of online retailers selling flanges and gaskets for all sorts of applications (regular, turbos, ..., 2 Bolts, 3 Bolts, 4 Bolts, ...). No worries there I'll just make sure to order them in 2.5" dimensions to match the new pipe size. As for the Heat Shield. I came across a technique for Heat Shielding the Exhaust pipes: Step 1: VHT Flat Black Flameproof Step 2: Titanium Exhaust Wrap with LR Technology by DEI Step 3: HT Silicone Coating Does it make sense? William
  10. $69 for a PINT!!! No way Thanks for the heads-up though. William
  11. Sorry about that (I am not clueless though ) Sometimes, I rush into a replies prior refreshing the page. I did not read your post till after I wrote mine. Always happy to read your replies though. Honestly William
  12. Forget it. I just found the diameter of the drive shaft. It is 1.142" the RED ones above won't fit
  13. how about instead of 3-bolt FLANGES, I went for something like that: Pipe Connectors! William
  14. Of course!!!!!! How would the small GASKETS and FLANGES fit the 2.5" Pipe!!! So what to do in that case? How to connect the various parts together? Full welding all the way from start to finish! What about the O2 sensor. How will I fit it back in? William
  15. But what about the interior fabric/finish on the door trim. It will be hard to match Junkyard/Scrap door interior with the rest of the stuff in my car William
  16. Ok. The dealer for the GASKETS. But what about the FLANGES!!! Where do I get these? I don;t believe the dealer carries these Flanges. Do they? Are they available Aftermarket? William
  17. Well actually that is true I am trying to color-code my rubber and bushings to be all in Red. So far almost every (visible) bushing on the front-end was replaced with Red bushings from Energy Suspensions and I am simply trying to match the CV Boots as well I know the ones from Rockford.com might be superior but these are in ........ RED William
  18. Well guys. Thx really for the hints and the pointers. Always a treat to read your replies I found partial measurements for our WD21 CV Boots from the FSM as follows: There is an online retailer selling colored CV Boots. He was not able to confirm if his boots fit our WD21 but sent me the limited sizes that he has in stock: 1. Length: 4.055, Bar Size:.746 Joint Side: 2.630 2. Length: 3.695 Bar Size: .704 Joint Side: 2.471 3. Length: 3.961 Bar Size: .743 Joint Side: 2.30 Length-wise, and as per the FSM picture above, #2 seems OK for INNER side. Not sure though about the Bar and Joint sizes. Also Length-wise, and as per the FSM picture above, #3 seems OK for OUTER side. Not sure though about the Bar and Joint sizes. Which ones should I go for the INNERS and OUTERS? William
  19. Thx Guys. That was really informative. I did notice on my Pathy that the PAN HARD ROD was aligned in a funny way. I thought it was supposed to be like that. Now I remembered that it was that inclined prior the 3" BL. I'll go ahead and order a Bracket from AK9849cy and install them myself. It is a pretty easy 10 minutes job. William
  20. My HEAT SHIELDS are also rusty as hell Can I take them off? Should they be replaced? With what? William
  21. Speaking about FLANGES. What I am supposed to do with them? There is a bunch of these and the GASKETS: Should I cut them off from the stock pipes/Y-pipes and weld them back to the new 2.5" pipes for connectivity purposes between the various exhaust system components? What about the GASKETS? I probably need a new set. Do you know where can I source these online? William
  22. But if he simply went for the VG33E instead. In that case, he will not have to replace any of the following: - Transmission - Transfer case - ECU wiring - Driveshaft - Rear differential - Front differential - CV Axles Right? William
  23. Based on the views and opinions on this TOPIC, I'll go ahead with this project as follows: 1. I'll replace all the RED-marked pipes with a 2.5" diameter pipes 2. I'll replace the YELLOW-marked stock Muffler with one from FLOWMASTER (Please recommend a model/size!) 3. I'll keep the GREEN-marked pipe as is 'cause that's where the O2 sensor goes! Right? 4. I am considering replacing the BLUE-marked stock Catalytic Conv. (The Magnaflow one is nice but pricy!!!), What do you think? 5. I am puzzled about the remaining PINK-marked pipe. It is rusty and should be replaced. Can I put a regular 2.5" pipe in its place? What do you think? William
  24. Do you have a picture of it before and after installation? What is it really used for? How much does it normally cost? William
