Airbags don't really lift your truck, they just prevent the springs from compressing. They'll also make the ride fairly stiff, and that's not really what you need while offroading usually. Air shocks would do about the same for you, actually.

You can do it, but it takes ALL the parts from a donor vehicle, unless you have really deep pockets for new parts. I'd find a junkyard Pathy with the clutch setup already installed and yoink everything for the swap.

One word. Rust. No word on price for a top-end only rebuild, but the machine shop that did my little brother's V6 heads charged about $300 or so just for the machine work, assembly and all.

It'll be all custom fab-work to get one in there, plus I dunno how the unibody setup and axles will withstand 2X the HP it was intended to have, but hey. JGC's are unibody too with 5.9 liter V8's.

Older Pathfinders had the option of four different engines in several different countries and we make do with one section, now shush. Heh.

Yeah, if you don't use your glove box the ECU fits right in there. You have to extend the ECU's ground wire or relocate it, then cut a hole into the side of the glove box to get the wiring through. That's about it. Oh, you have to take up the carpet to get the wiring out, too.

Gimmick spark plugs are a waste of money. Regular or V-Power NGK's work fine and rarely require cleaning if you get the proper heat range. The $6 per plug gives you nothing but an empty wallet.

My 15 x 8.5" wheels weigh about 15 lbs each. The tires, on the other hand...60 lbs each. Ow. And yes, I weighed them separately.

Steel wheels don't require re-torquing like aluminum wheels do, but they do weigh a bit more. Steel can only be chromed, aluminum can be polished or chromed...lemme see...hmm. Steel wheels are almost always cheaper. Next!

Hey, not everybody's quite as experienced at sourcing different length belts as you and I are.

Yep, that's just how mine are set up and it works fine. The springs won't shift on you a bit. I have 3/4" spacers top AND bottom and I had to use a coil compressor to put the springs in. mws: hockey pucks aren't generally 4" or larger in diameter, are they? Cause the spring seats are. Plus they need to be donuts, not solid discs.

Cool. I might add: you should probably install new spark plugs at the same time and gap them to between .48 and .52" for max spark effectiveness. NGK V-Power plugs or standard NGK's work fine for this.

You guys know you can get v-belts in different lengths, right? You can get 'em in 5mm increments, longer or shorter. Just ask the parts guy for one that's 5mm shorter or longer next time.

Yeah, mine does that too. It's a natural heat source on a vehicle, if there's nothing to keep it out.

Yep. I used to work at several different Jiffy Lube stores. The tranny flush is a good thing to do. It replaces ALL the fluid.

I have a spare on a Isuzu Trooper wheel. Rodeos have the same bolt pattern.
