  1. I really depends on who is going. And like normal, we will likely have people not showing up at the last minute. I would hate to buy food for people that do not show up or something that someone does not want to eat. There are too many people from different places/forums to try and organize the food properly. Plus there is also the chance that some my not stay for the camp out. Plus it can be a lot of food. Estimates are around 14 people or so now? That is a lot of money in food. We would have to buy enough for lunch sat, supper sat, breakfast sun and likely lunch sun. That is four complete meals. I have done big camp outs with other groups on the net before, but we were all on one forum and were able to organize things very easily that way. Not possible in this instance. A few of us could get together and bring food just for the bunch of us. But I could see that as possibly pissing off the others who are not part of the food group if they see us all eating together and expect to get some themselves without having done any effort. Too many problems. Probably the best thing is to plan on bringing your own food. I have my own propane stove which I will likely bring to cook food which others could use if needed. I also have a small electric powered cooler for keeping stuff cold. Doesn't really need power as it is insulated, but I will likely plug it in during the day if it is very hot outside (to keep the bacon and drinks cool). We can probably share anything they have after providing for themselves. Some things to think about.
  2. BLASPHEMY! You are speaking against the best invention man has ever made (well besides the Pathfinder)! Okay fleury is not allowed on the trip anymore.
  3. I got some great canned bacon. It is pre-cooked. All you have to do is heat it up a bit. AWESOME stuff Or I could bring some thick bacon I buy at costco: We will plant this flag at the camp site so that people can find us if needed
  4. Just using the aluminum foil to stop the aliens from reading his mind and stealing my secrets!

  5. I suggest we bring lots of bacon to eat!
  6. Was a good meet I think. Got a lot of work done. I didn't take a good picture of the Pathys in the shop. But here one of the three inside non the less. Might just do it again next weekend for those that missed it this weekend.
  7. Okay looks like we are on for this weekend. PM me for the address and details if you are interested in going.
  8. Weather man still says there is an 80% chance of rain on Saturday and now 70% on Sunday. But the shop will be nice and dry I am going to Princess Auto tomorrow to pickup a few little things. If you are coming to the meet and need something at PA but can't get to PA, let me know and I can see about picking it up for you. Pizza will be on the menu for lunch
  9. 80% chance of rain on Saturday, so come on over We will be in a nice dry shop working on the trucks. Even if no one decides to come over I will still be working on the truck. Depending on the turn out, I will likely do it again next weekend for the others that couldn't go this weekend.
  10. I don't really need any help myself, as I have worked on bigger things by myself before. I just thought that since I have lots of space and equipment available, I might as well let people who need it use it Like I said before, I am not interesting in anything for me. Just thought I would help out others when I can. Anyways, it is more fun when others are working with you! Only thing I don't recommend is anyone bringing kids. We will be working with power tools and other equipment, and as we all know, for that one second you are not watching them, they will likely get into something they shouldn't
  11. Depending on the response we could likely do it both this and next weekend. Naturally not everyone is free when you want them to be. I plan on being there all this saturday doing some fabrication on my truck (new front kid plate and side sliders) so I might as well have some other people there to chat with and help at the same time Might order some pizza as well to help fuel the workers
  12. I thought I would throw this out there for guys in the Ottawa and surrounding area. I am thinking of having a truck work meet at my shop either this weekend or the next. I have a large shop which can hold up to three pathys at a time to work on. The shop also has a large compressor, tons of air tools, power tools, a large toolbox, professional mig welder, plasma cutter, torches, floor jacks, etc, etc. Pretty much a fully equipped shop. The only thing I do not have is a vehicle lift. But I do have floor jacks and stands which can easily help get your tires off the ground I thought this might be useful for the guys who either do not have the tools to fix up their trucks, or simply don't know how and need help getting things done. It can really help having a proper shop where there is enough room to work on pretty much anything you need to. I am not asking for anything in return other than trying to help others that need a hand and that you bring any parts you might need. I don't mind people using a few little things here and there (ie. someone needs some wire, a nut and bolt, or a small piece of metal to fix something), but I don't want to start using up all my parts in my shop on other peoples trucks. Just make sure to stop off at Canadian Tire, NAPA, Princess Auto, or where ever you need to go before you drop by You don't need something big to fix or work on. It could be as simple as changing the oil on the truck. Anyone interested?
  13. I am looking forward to this. I think we will have lots of fun. We just have to remember that whatever happens on the hydro line, stays on the hydro line
  14. I have the same roof rack which I bought from CT. Bolted the lights right to it. As for wiring, I installed some relays in the engine compartment then ran a wiring harness down along the bottom of the frame to the back of the truck. Once in the back, I went up through the inner panels and out the roof through the roof trim. These pictures were before I finished connecting them to the lights, but the rest is finished. Nothing fancy, but it took some time to run the wiring along the frame as there isn't much room down there on my R50.
  15. Sounds good to me. Would give me time to get the tuck up to par. I still have a few little upgrades to do. I have lots of camping gear we can use. No one better be a vegetarian or else they will starve (well I guess they could eat some grass). As long as Adam stays in his tent at night it should be fine. But I will bring a bat just to make sure
  16. I like it with the wind flare. Nice install. Looks stock.
  17. Pictures of the run were posted here: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=25952 Was a hell of a fun time.
  18. If I had the money, I would buy it, just to put it out of its misery.
  19. A friend drives a Chevy Tracker, and every spring the breaks start to squeek. We found that it is just a lot of dust getting kicked up from the road after the winter (the gravel they put on the road) and getting in there. It always stops after they clean the gravel/dirt from the roads and we put the pressure washer to the wheels. Might just be something simple like that.
  20. We were thinking of going this Sunday (March 21st). Not 100% confirmed yet, but it looks pretty good so far.
  21. Looks good. But it will look even better once it is covered in mud
