  1. Just think... 400,000 miles at 16mi/g= 25000 gallons of gas, or in todays market, $81250... Really, are our pathys that cheap haha. Now I'm going to have to get an "aveo"
  2. I've got a high torque cordless milwaukee.. .all I need is a sweet diamond blade and i'm set! I'll start my little mafia right here in Wrangell, AK. Only problem is most cars up here have lost their exhausts anyways
  3. Well don't really.. but check this out. http://www.newsweek.com/id/88793?GT1=10755

  5. Oh I have fond memories of Deer in my Pathy... I was driving some friends home after my bar closed through kirkland, WA on I-405, took an offramp (still doing 60 or so), and out of no where in the middle of a very populated kirkland area 3 deer jumped out right in front of me like they were crossing the road.. well, I braked and would have avoided them no problem, but they changed direction and started running in the direction I was driving down the road. Well, it was only a matter of seconds, but I watched as the deer's ass slowly started to dissappear under my Hood visor, the whole time I'm expecting a thump from my drivetrain somewhere (wasn't worried about screwing any thing up... just didn't want to clean deers ass off of my transfer case). Meanwhile the guy in the back seat who was passed out hit the front seats headrest (lol), and eventually the deers ass started to appear again, all three of them continued running along fully intact... Definatly one of those WTF moments... haha
  6. Just had another passanger cv axle blow up on me... I can't remember if all wd21 axles are the same. I have an 87. are all the wd21 axles the same part number?? I'm ordering from out of state, so I have to make sure the axle is correct.. it's such a pita to return stuff from ak.
  7. I'd like to see the video before comment, please, someone pm it to me. Thanks.
  8. Heres a pic of my 9004 hid retrofit (no high beam..) they're pretty bright, and quite a bit of glare.
  9. For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. Doesn't sound so bad if you know what it means.
  10. I just filled up at 4.07 here in Wrangell, AK! You know what else is ******, in the winter most homes up here use oil heat for their furnaces (which run radiant heat and water heaters)... fuel oil is nearly $3 a gallon. It takes approximatly 500 gallons to heat a 2000sq ft home up here for 3 winter months... My hotel @25k sq feet uses a little bit over 1000gallons a month of fuel oil in the winter time...try having that for a heating bill
  11. Just do a sas at the same time, prolly make it easier
  12. Yeah, the town has a ton of economic potential... it is only about 90 miles form highway 1 in BC.. they've been trying to build it for about 5 years, and old school ignorant politics here have haulted it (people here don't like change).. thank god a younger (much smarter), and more willing group is coming into political activity and understand the importance of economic stability in a small town. IF they build the road, port potential is HUGE... so that is also exciting, but probably 10-20 years out. On the non-business side of things, there are only 3 pathfinders in town, and are all owned by seniors There are ton of logging roads, stream crossings, mud/muskeg holes, old rock pits, rock gardens to play in.. just gotta find them. There is a built sami, a built cj, and my buddy is building a toy for this summer, so I'm sure i'll have plenty of people to pull out The pathy is going under a pretty major overhaul this winter i'm going to turn it into my play toy since the 240 will probably have to either stay garaged, or be sold ( )... 13 miles of pavement doesn't justify bringing it up.
  13. This is what happens when you buy a 240sx for a daily driver..... (no before pictures... was a bone stock auto s14, with black leather interior, SE model...beautiful car stock..) You take it all apart, and it cost you 25K to put back together lol. AND i haven't driven it in over a year, lol.. Get ready to start driving your pathy again the second you buy one. But i'm still going to recomend you do..haha
  14. I know I'm not superactive on here right now, and haven't had time to take the pathy out much, so I thought I'd show you guys what I've been into.... Property Investment. Obviously I'm not the investor. I'm buying property back up to 51% of the company from the Investor through Profit Shares, as a percerntage of the initial investment (not the net worth). We are building quite a bit of capital right now, being that this is mostly a tourist economy in SE Alaska and we are in season, however it is more of a destination than a tour boat stop (i.e. Princess Cruise lines, which now stop in Juneau, Skagway, Sitka and Ketchikan). The hotel needs a remodel, but is fully operational with a full service restaurant, which I'm putting most of my focus into right now (previous management was running it into the ground). We are getting ready to purchase two more properties this month... I'm super excited. Here's a couple pictures of the Property and the Town: Over-View of Wrangell, AK Reflecting IFA Ferry leaving the Ferry terminal (block away) 25K sq feet vs big ass boat! The view from the restaurant.. Area Attractions: Anan Bear observatory, world famous, only reachable via jetboat about 40K south Brown Bear feasting on spawning salmon at Anan Glacier at the head of Shakes Lake, also only reachable by jetboat, about 30 mi north of me: Moose and calves up the Stikine River (off one of the tributaries) Since I've been up here, Dec. 31st, I've not had a day off, have been averaging 14 hour days.. but believe it or not, have never been happier... I'm very lucky because, the investor is my Fiance's Dad, and I just kinda happened to fall into it. After coming up here in July last year for vacation and disscussing with him some friendly ideas, apparntley something clicked with him and he offered me the job (after firing his son, who just didn't really want to do it )
  15. Apparantly he has a drinking problem, and asked his daughter to film him next time he is like that to help him quit or something along those lines...
  16. thanks for all the info guys! Bouncing in 4-lo causes broken front axles I found that out the hard way.
  17. Either the Sultan of Brunai, or Jay Leno
  18. let's not get into the debeers monopoly Supply and demand my friend... the market was flooded with diamonds quite some time ago... Diamonds are less of an investment than they are a commodity. If you want to invest in something that is actually worth what they say it is, buy stock in gold. Enough thread jacking, beautiful rings. I happen to be in the market for one for my Fiance, but she's already picked one out.. g-damn it's going to hurt too
  19. It's a Manual. I figured 4 lo would be perfect for pulling it out of the water
  20. So, I just picked up a 16ft glasply (~1500lbs) runabout with a 88hp outboard (~300lbs), and will be towing it on a small ez-load trailer probably 15-16ft (~300-500lbs)... not many hills, no more than a few miles to drop her in the water. Pathfinder=87 pathfinder, 4" trailmaster lift, 3" bl, 33" tires... I haven't thrown on a tow hitch yet, I was going to incorporate it into the steel bumper i'm going to have fabbed. Only thing I think I might be concerned about is not having heavy duty springs in the rear. Can she do it? Or should I borrow a buddies truck until I pick up my titan ?
  21. I have an old nismo catalogue from like 2000, I'll take a look in it... 6:1 crawler gears
  22. Do they make 5.38's for the h233b 31 spline??
  23. Scary I'm planning on keeping it for outings only here, right now it's daily driven..well, only about 5 miles a day if that. My fiance and I are going to pick up a tow vehicle for our hotel, I'm thinking either a new tundra or titan. There are all kinds of places to play up here, and I've met a couple locals who have some pretty built cralwers. One is a Samurai with toy axles on leafs with 35's, and the other is a cj7 on 36's (the guy who's putting in a 9", not sure what he's got in the front yet). , condions vary from mud to thick moss called "muskeg" to severe rock formations, and tons of beat down logging roads so I plan on running at least 35's to get through the deep stuff. I like the idea of a front 3-link with coils, simple and effective, and probably more travel/flex than I'll need up here, with an ox locker... I haven't decided on gearing just yet. And I'm just going to follow nissannut's lead with the stock rear 5 link and extend the rear links, using the lower rear links as uppers and relocating the lower mounts, and extend the upper links to work as lower links. Use lift coils, and install a powertrax in the h233b, and match gearing to the d44. Sounds simple... but it never works out that way
  24. Yes.. from an early bronco.. there is a local who is going to pick up one and tear out the ford 9" and was going to scrap the rest. He told me I could have the front axle for dirt cheap. BTW. Just snapped another front axle yesterday, lol, I guess this is just making my decision that much easier.
