  1. The Calmini kits stops bumpsteer....I'm not sayin, just sayin.
  2. that's why you never look for budget performance parts.
  3. bust off the cover and use saran wrap...voila...clear tails.
  4. I'd look here... http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?act=Search&f=6
  5. I paid $1500 for mine, with the suspension lift and new motor.
  6. um...mws..I hope you are joking, because that video is a joke. Prefamulated amulite?? side fumbling?? reciprocating dinglearm?? c'mon now.
  7. That's what I was asking, could you just buy them and splice the correct clips in?
  8. I fairly certain they dont make them for pathys, but have you guys heard of MIL eliminators? I have them on my mustang, they basically send a false signal to the computer when you remove the forward cats, tricking it into thinking it still has them and not sending a error code producing a check engine light. I'm not sure if it would work, but couldn't you get a set and splice the right clips in to hook to a R50 O2 sensor harness?? Just an idea, thought I'd throw it out there.
  9. What's with you people & clear tails???
  10. Buy a muffler, go to an exhaust shop (not midas). Usually the lil mom & pops shops are your best bet, give them the muffler and tell them to fill the blank lol...they can make you a cat back for a reasonable cost that will be just as good and much cheaper.
  11. you will always gain low end torque at the expense of high end HP with long tubes...which is why most drag racers use them.
  12. depending on how you wheel...the OEM replacement will cause the exact same problems pretty much instantly. It's not so much a part failure as a design flaw. If you don't wheel much, and your pathy is still on stock tires it may last a while, but if you're lifted, on bigger tires, it wont last unless you never wheel it..which is no fun. I have the Calmini setup, and yes, it's expensive, but in my honest opinion, worth every cent. I got it 3 days after I ordered it, and have put it to the test, and it has taken the abuse in stride. I would recommend it to anyone that wheels hard, but if you wheel once every couple of months..and consider wheeling driving down a dirt road, it probably wouldn't be worth the money to you.
  13. LMAO...I'm using the sh*t outta that picture today!
  14. The mustang is undergoing major surgery this summer, then it will be driven from my house to the dragstrip, and that's about it...except for the occasional summertime cruise and Fri/Sat nights ripping ricers a new a$$hole.
  15. I have a crack in the same place. Albuquerque, NM, pretty much the same conditions as you.
  16. mine does that, a smack to the dash right above the instrument cluster kicks mine back into operation instantly. That's the only fix I have for ya right now, cuz it's worked so far and I don't really care.
  17. It is a waste of money, but I already said that. Unless you have a full new exhaust, headers included, you won't notice any gains in a high flow cat.
  18. tis called a clinometer, or inclinometer.
  19. yup..my radiator is still in the stock location, trimmed lower half of shroud, and shortened lower rad hose. Also left the power steering reservoir in the stock location, just bought longer hoses. The only pain in the a$$ was the steering shaft, after no luck with a slide hammer and a can of pb blaster, I finally cut it in half and welded some solid stock in to lengthen it.
  20. that was pretty close to tipping over...
  21. If in fact you have two cats, there is no need, just put one high flow cat and then a muffler of you're choice. There will be HP/Torque gains, depending on the setup you choose, although they will be minimal. Asking which is the best muffler is like asking what the best color is, everyone is going to have their own opinion as to what is "best" but Flowmaster is a descent brand...even tho I hate them cuz everyone and their mother has one (that's the mustang owner in me speaking). Personally I think a high flow cat on a pathy is a waste of money, youre not going to get any noticable gain by having a high flow cat, and if you combine it with a free flowing muffler, you may lose backpressure and actually hurt performance. If I were you, I'd possibly get slightly bigger piping, one regular cat, hell, keep one of the ones you have if they are still good, and a good performance muffler.
  22. I'll bring them to work and press them in if I have to.
