  1. At the end of the day, this is what i would do. I don't know the autos, but i know the manuals. Your T-case input shaft seal is lubricated by the tranny oil. if that seal fails you will cross contaminate oils if you run diff oils in diff case. I know that i can run GL 4 in my T-case and tranny. And i can run ATF in my auto and in my T-case
  2. smart ass :tonguefinger: thanks for the calculation.
  3. well, this sounds like BS, but i know it to be true in some vehicles. They run ATF, instead of gear lube for less drag and better fuel economy. I run 75-90 in mine, but when i first changed it it was ATF.. so you can run either
  4. won't start when hot??? ya, starter is caput
  5. Those are the only 2 that make them. I have the A/C ones, and they are OK and i don't have any issues. However, in retrospect, i should have gone the Calmini route. The differeance is the smaller OD bearing used by calmini. this will aid in assembly. But they both work.
  6. this statement is just wrong. Go cause you want to go, not because everybody else is. LEAD..... DON'T FOLLOW.
  7. if i'm within driving distance, i'll come

well if they stay with the nissan rear and go sua then its pretty easy and could be done in a couple weekends. (if you have done it before). The way i did it... no chance finished by end of summer good luck all

hmmm, sombody went away.. thats funny. Did some research did ya?
  13. you can do just about any upgrade to it that you can do to any other engine. computer, exhaust, intake, cam, bore it out, larger injectors.. etc What else can you do besides replace the engine?
  14. Git-R-Done! If you have any technical questions during the swap, let me know. PS.. CRAWLER GEARS SHOULD BE NEAR THE TOP OF YOUR LIST! I can't believe i ran an entire season without them
  15. I straightened out packie along time ago. you can get 5:14's for the H233. I realize you can't go deaper without spending big cash. But 4.88's just won't cut it Stock 4.375:1 with 30's = 5.14:1 with 36's
  16. Why does everybody do this.... NOT LOW ENOUGH. If you are going to do an SAS, you are going to run 35" tires or bigger. If not, why are you doing the conversion? I have repeated myself on this board multiple times. YOU WILL WANT 5.14 or 5.38's. I run a V6 and 36's with 5.38:1's and i was driving up the mountain the other day shifting back and forth between 1st and 2nd.... do some research before wasting your money

H233B But i have a Hi pinion ford 9" in mine
  18. Ok, i have told this to many individuals. In our pathfinders if you plan on running 35" tires you will need to run 5.14:1 (or 5.13:1) gears 5.38's would be better. Do not waste your time with 4.88's TRUST ME.

    patrols came with solid axles.
  20. Ya, tell us please. I mean as long as your not stupid and put in a 12" body lift or something. But 2-3 inches on a pathy with 543 bolts holding it together... no issues

oh and those pics... Those are in iceland I promise you. They build those rigs to float on the snow. Low horse power and lots of flotation. Generally built with 4-6 inch body lifts and no other upgrades except tires. They are only good for deep snow, nothing else. Don't get me wrong, iceland has some bad as rigs! but i know the type in the picture
  22. the fun begins Thats pretty much exactly what i said.. 3+ years and i'm still working on it

I read this and laughed out loud and i'm all by myself. No real rock crawling eh? Ok, i'll stop.. get the idea.. oh ya, 90% nissan. Only the axles and suspension are not Nissan. Stock engine, stock tranny and 3.7:1 T case gears in a stock T case.
  24. Well, i've always heard that the D in Dell stands for disaster when refering to the desk tops. I've heard lots of good things about the laptops though, my wife has one. If you want a new laptop, i'd suggest toshiba. I've had 3 of them and they were all completely trouble free. feel your pain man!
