Just drop a good old 90-95 Nissan 3.0 mutiport fuel injected engine in there. be careful with that 4.3 engine!! my brother has a 1995 GMC Jimmy with the 4.3 Vortech engine and one of the main freeze plugs is about to blow and it has a rod in the 3rd cylinder knocking at only 77,000 miles. my brother hates the truck with a passion and he wishes he never bought it! parts he has replaced; ac compressor suspension(both of the front shocks bottom bolts were busted off) fuel pump ECU timing belt ive driven the truck and i see what he means. It handles like a caddy and it has no balls whatsoever. the tranny sux even worse than mine! it shudders and clunks along. CHEVY  chevy -argue- Nissan

Is the air filter rechargable?like K&N filters or do you have to buy new filters. and could you use the K&N recharge kit on that filter? how much was the total price with shipping and tax? right now i have the K&N pannel filter rigged up with some wire and some tape I took half the filter box off and wired and taped it so i have the same affect as if i had the cone filter.(its only gonna be that way untill i order the cone filter) PS: I like your support for the intake

I found this on the AC websight http://www.4x4parts.com/public_html/shop/i...a8965c9bd7de817 Does anyone know if these work??

I was out doing some 4x4ing and i guess i pushed the flex of my truck alittle too far. I was maxing out the flex at about 1foot 4inches I got out and looked at my right rear shock and it had all the fluid draining out of it from the top gasket. i was wondering are KYB shocks good for handling being maxed out? I think Ill be reinstalling the rear bump stops to prevent this from happening again. And how do I get more flex from my front end? it just doesnt flex very much.

Sound Clips of exhaust ? What do they sound like ?
ChromoTech replied to EvilLex03's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
I got the Flowmaster 40 series and aftermarket cat 2 1/2 in. pipe from the Y pipe back its sounds alright kinda raspy though Im planning on getting some headers then ill have the whole exhaust done. -
Alright I know this is pritty bad to do but I unloaded 2 whole cans of carb cleaner into my throttle body!! thick black crap just kept coming out with the cleaner when i went to start it up though it just made a loud jamming noize but after a few tries it started up but would not keep running with out some assistance. then I tried to take it out onto the highway to blow it out when I realized that at full throttle the truck would just jump around w/o picking up speed It sounded like a 2 stroke engine sputtering down the road. I looked back at my exhaust while at full throttle and it was misting out the carb cleaner in a grey smoke look. I think that it was choking, almost all it was getting instead of air was carb cleaner but finally after 2 days of this mayhem my truck finally blew out all of the carb cleaner. and i looked into my throttle body and man Is it ever clean in there! And about an hour ago I was hauling a$$ and I blew out a big black cloud of build up out of my exhaust now it runs stronger than ever.

where is the AFM at? is it the brass thing below the throttle it looks like a horn kinda?
-
KYB (i think) shocks they arent that expensive and dont send in your Pathfinder! It only takes about 45min for both front and rear sets installed.
-
What??? and what year pathy if its over a 95 I have no clue.
-
Does it feel like its jerking when you accelerate? does it sound like an exhaust leak (airy repetitive ticking sound coming from one of the manifolds)
-
Do a full tune up plugs, wires, rotor, distributer cap, flush out the throttle body with carb cleaner, check out the sensors and O2 sensors

I found out that www.autopartsauthority.com Carries the Pacesetter Headers for any 1987-1995 Pathfinders auto or man transmissions. :cool2: for $244.63 with FREE shipping! :o Spread the word!! :gossip:

well while I was under my truck i decided to just replace the axels while i was under there. since the new axels have the cv boots already on them also depending on how long the boots have been ripped the joints might be bad also from being dry or from the grease getting dirty and nasty and having the debree getting into the joints and wearing them out. Having a whole new set of axels under there smoothed out the steering and the ride and if im not mistaken the axels drive the truck when in 4x4 so its probably better for the 4 wheel drive system too. And the upper and lower ball joints rip easily if you 4x4 alot. one of my friends who has been 4 wheeling since he was like 11 or 12 yrs old said that if you do go 4x4ing alot to not even mess with the ball joints. and to just inject them with grease when they start to make noizes. And one more thing GOING THROUGH DEEP WATER IS NOT GOOD FOR YOUr STEERING AND 4X4 COMPONENTS!!! I did that a few times awhile back (before the new axels and steering rebuild) and the water dried out the axels, ball joints and the 4x4 auto locking HUBs (pain in the a$$)

My idle has been sticking lately off and on when I goto park the truck I put it in park and the idle goes up to about 1800 rpm but when i turn it off and then back on again it returns to normal idle (700rpm). also sometimes the idle is clear down to the first mark on the guage (300rpm I think) and it still idles smooth though!? anyone know why?

How do you tell if the sensor is bad??? mine is making a loud high pitched shreek some poeple mistake the noize for a turbo (its making that kind of noize) when theres no blowoff valve it just makes that weird sound after they let off the gas.
-
I did the whole thing w/o dropping the exhaust so it took me a very long time! the exhaust goes right across the pan
-
Yes it is hard to change the tranny filter you have to unbolt the exhaust and then you undo the drain bolt if yours has one, then you drop the pan
-
yea the jgc springs arent that hard to install ether
-
my alarm is craaaap you could hit it and it wont go off and i have the sensitivity turned up on high
-
are you low on tranny fluid and what color is the fluid i just changed mine and the blasted stuff was black and purple (early sign of transmission failure)
-
Exhaust manifold leak well known Pathfinder problem and it could get to any year of Pathfinder 96 and down
-
Does the engine have regular diesel turbo in it??
-
yea you probably would cuz its burning under the truck just like when your tranny is burning you can smell that and thats inclosed too
-
Mine used to make like a tapping noize from a broken stud and it would only do it untill the engine warmed up cuz of metal expansion sealed the imperfection but i got it fixed and its smooth sounding with the flowmaster 40s and 2/1/2 in pipe from the | |>-- connection back
