  2. I couldn't resist! I turned the screw!!...
  3. so Ive been running JGC springs in the rear of my truck for some time. I found these springs in the junkyard, I believe they were aftermarket as I was unable to identify them in the usual fashion. they are super beefy. they gave me a bunch of lift but the ride was rather harsh. so I got rid of them and replaced them with a pair of AC springs. The ride is MUCH better but the truck is stinkbuggin like crazy. I have a 3" suspension lift in the front and it way higher. I'm wondering if the springs will "relax" over time and lower the arse back down a bit. also I have to replace the short, flexible brake line that comes from the hard line to the T that splits to the back brake as it is too short. I only noticed this today after installing the second set of springs . scary. my question is what is the fitting/thread size that I 'm lookin for here? In the spirit of sharing the old springs are up for grabs for the cost of shipping. they would be great for someone that does alot of hauling/towing.
  4. I'll be damned, I have every problem listed above!
  5. AS the title implies, my 5th door has recently started shakin like the dickens on bumpy roads. so I had my girlfriend drive on a washboarded road and I got in the back to see if I could stopp it buy applying pressure. no dice. It's quite annoying. . anyone else have this problem or insight into a fix?
  6. finally! im helpful around here! http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=26125&st=0&p=479846&fromsearch=1entry479846
  7. mine has always made this crazy buzzing noise. but only when I'm in the middle of nowhere. amplitude is directly linked to distance from main road or cell service. have oftenen thought of just replacing the damn thing. anyone else have that problem?
  8. does everybody agree on this 2.25? seems small to me.
  9. I have the doug thorley short tube headers. I think I have a leak at the collector on my driver side header. is this a fairly standard gasket or do I need to contact thorley for a replacement? if it is a standard thing what size should I be looking for?
  10. awesome! will do a little "testing" today. thanks for your help
  11. cool! I located two philips head hose clamps back there. they lead to the injectors . are these the one? they weren't particularly loose.snugged them up though.
  12. howdy a few days ago I noticed a gas odor comin from the pathy. Its like gas only a little more acrid or powerful. smells are hard to explain. So yesterday I went sniffin around and realized its definitely coming from under the hood. so I opened it up and its definitely localized to the drivers side and, I think, seems to be coming form the carbon canister. now I know nothing about what this thing really does but upon further inspection realized it does have a fuel tank line connected to it so its not beyond the realm of possibility. Anyway is this a sign that it needs changing or cleaning or what? what does it do? and is it possible I'm smelling something else in the area? thanks for your help and wealth of knowledge wilson
  13. yes, I am hip to this scene.
  14. this is fascinating! as well as convincing. I can get an entire LSD rear axle for 250.00 @ the local JY. to upgrades at once.WOOT! also, I figured changing the gear ratio would bring my speedometer back into calibration. kinda hard to wrap my head around eh?
  15. I recently put 31s on my pathy that originally came with 29s. I belive the original gear ratio is 4.3. I'd like to switch to the 4.6. I'm currently gettin about 18.8 MPG around town and like to keep or improve that. my question is how does change in ratio affect gas mileage?
  16. 218k with possibly the original timing belt. man, I gotta replace that sucker.
  17. the latch is very much manual. the automatic bit was an attempt at humor..I failed.
  18. I'm the grammar police. I'll let u off with a warning. although you should be jailed indefinitely . sorry, couldn't let this one go.
  19. well the old girl has developed an auto opening rear door. I pulled out of the bank and the rear door opened when two jerry cans shifted and pushed against it, thus auto unloading the two water containers. Surprised, I stopped to pick them up. so I'm standing there, truck parked askew in the middle of the parking lot with the rear hatch open with two big blue cans laying about. this women walk out of the the bank and exclaims " you dropped somethin!" no @!*% lady, thanks. hahaha. anyway, it wont stay closed long without being locked at this point. before I tear it apart I was just wondering if anybody had a good Idea what to look for. also where is that door ajar sensor? I think thats bad too. thank in advance fellas wilson
  20. I'm gonna need my 19 mil.
  21. just did mines and its 3.56". I dont wheel it much so the cvs are holding up great. what is the stock dimension? looks like 1.61"-2.01". How much lift does this equate too?
