It will increase the CV angle but the best part about the wd21 is the hubs are unlocked when not using 4wd so they are not spinning 100% of the time like newer vehicles do. I have had the same lift as that on my rig for going on 14 years and still have the same CV shafts. You can also get differential drop down bushings to lower the front diff to compensate.

IIRC it is a fine thread pitch, like 1.5 or 1.75 and no one around here had one at the time (it is also a nylock nut). I ended up getting it at Nissan but I didn't have to pay shipping, just picked it up from the dealer.

Nice looking truck. Mine is also a black 95 SE. Bought it from a lady who moved to Toronto from North Van in 2007, so it only saw a couple of Ontario winters.
The issue with whole fan thing is that the stock fans work great for everything but these rigs are pushing 28 years old at the youngest, all the foam and crap around the radiator and condenser to keep the airflow going across is long since rotted away. Also if you have the bottom half of your fan shroud missing that doesn't help either, most body lifted ones are missing it. So I guess you can go e-fan if you want or try to rebuild the stock setup.

I overheard a worker that inspections were going to be instituted in the next few years and that anything "non-compliant" is going to be pulled off the roads.... overheard at the SAAQ Ste-Agathe last year when I was waiting to register the Xterra!
I've overheard the same thing in Ontario for a few years but nothing has come around yet.
It's funny because the most derelict cars/trucks I've ever seen have all come from the QC side lol.

Started and let it run for a while to allow some fluids to cycle through it, while simultaneously fully heating up the interior. Also did the same with the Suburban.
Need to find a way to carve out some troubleshooting time to diagnose the clutch issue, which I hope is not the actual clutch!
What are the symptoms?

The marks on the pulley only go up to 20 degrees. How did you confirm it was at 35? Check the service manual for the procedure, starts on page 32. You have to disconnect the TPS and do some rev up malarkey first. https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual?fsm=Pathfinder%2F1997%2Fec.pdf
Hope this helps.

KYB struts are fine but do not use the kyb strut mounts. They are terrible lol.

Seems to be discontinued at Nissan. You might have some luck calling dealers to see if any of the warehouses have old stock leftover. Otherwise you'll have to go to a wrecking yard.

I would not do that in these transmissions. They have enough problems with people using GL5 and a thin fluid like that in an older design transmission would lead to higher wear more quickly. Personally I use redline MT90 and it has kept mine alive for the 10 years I have owned it (had auto pathy's before then).
This is just my opinion of course.

Hey there. I stumbled upon this old but gold post and wanted to chime in. Your configuration for sleeping sounds like it's on point, especially with that idea of flipping the seat bottom for extra room. As for tips for better sleep, I've got a few to add to the mix. Make sure to pack some earplugs and a sleep mask, especially if you're camping in a busy area. These little things can make a huge difference in blocking out any unwanted noise and light.
It really is great. Back when my 95 was my daily I did this all the time for camping. Also get some screen and magnets, you can leave the windows cracked this way and not wake up to a nasty humid mess.

I have flushed mine before and it helped a bit, my truck the previous owner had dumped stop leak in it. That crap is known for plugging heater cores. You have to flush it in the opposite direction of coolant flow as the sediment in there will be settled in the core.
If I had to do it again I'd take it to a shop that has one of those power flusher things that hooks up to the air compressor. They work really well.

The only beck arnley part I had a bad experience with was the wd21 cooling temp sender. I went through 3 of them from rock auto before I went to nissan and bought an oem one.

I wonder if you could simply get a spherical bearing like the grassroots uses and press it into that CL.
-
Damn that looks great. Wish I had kept my old VG33ER, would have been a great candidate for my wd21...
-
That happened to mine as well, not sure why but mine got stuck on hot instead which sucks in the summer lmao.
These trucks it's normal for the temp gauge to only go up a 1/4 of the way. Take a temp reader at the upper rad host, if it's around 170-180F fully warmed up your thermostat is fine.

Yep, gotta do the same on my xterra tomorrow. The damn doors freeze shut after every drive.

hose it down with some kind of lock lube and de icer. Common occurrence here in Canada lol

I hear ya. It took me several weekends to get all of mine done!

If you do it one link at a time you could certainly leave it on the ground.

It IS humorous watching the one admin make a constant ass of himself when his only non 'look at my rc' posts are crap like trying to defend Walmart scotch-locks as not a complete hack job only to dirty delete thinking nobody screen shotted them.
LOL I know. It's a sheit show on there. I'm honestly done with it, if people want to talk to me they can find me on here...
I deactivated my FB last week and kept the messenger though. Then this weekend I couldn't log into messenger, I had to re auth on my computer and when I did, it friggin reactivated my FB page.

Being in Colorado you might but it was a real problem up here in Canada / the Rust Belt. IT's pretty dry over that way that far inside the country so I would think that you should be alright. Either way you can always have someone weld up a set of plates to the outside after some rust removal ( as needed) whereas we can't do that here in Quebec ( welcome to the "california regulations" of the north). IF you feel that you _must know_ grab a flatblade screwdriver and start stabbing away at the frame under the truck.... if the blade penetrates then you need them... if it bounces off, your good to go.
How would anyone ever know if you welded it, doesn't QC only inspect if it's coming in from out of province? Ontario you only need an inspection when it's out of province or changes ownership.

They are there to help line things up. I know I lost one on my old truck and didn't put it back in, I never had any leaks or issues with it at all.

The front shocks definitely are, the rear might be a different length but will bolt up.

I would also switch the automatic hubs to manual ones if you're going to lift it and wheel it. The automatic ones are good for daily drivers but on the trail they can unlock when backing up/rocking the truck and you'll lose drive to the front wheels at the worst possible time, lol.
