Better late then never. Still wrapped in plastic too. As much as I'd like to sell them, knowing that they're hard to get now makes me want to keep them even more. Sorry. They'll go on sooner or later. Hopefully later this year.
-
I hate to say it, but I still haven't put mine in yet. I can take some pics and measurements later if you want.

I tried something like that. Worked well. Each trailing arm got easier to do. There's a HUGE difference in how it drives now. No more wobbling all over the road. Now I have to do the lower control arm bushings.
-
I'm working on changing all the rear trailing arm bushings. I got the poly spit bushings. The old bushings were so worn, when I went over bumpy roads past 70kph, the ass end would sway back and forth. The trailing arms are a pita to get back in though.

Replaced vehicle speed sensor, speedometer still acting funny

Replace the cluster. Solved all my problems. -
I both of your gut's points, but my Tbars are cranked so the compression rod is at a more downward angle and putting more stress on the bushing. Putting the rod on top of the LCA would put it back to more of a stock angle. I don't think I'll do it, but just wanted to see if anyone had done this before or if would work.
-
To ease the angle of the compression rod on a lifted Pathfinder, has anyone bolted the compression rod to the top of the LCA instead of uder it? I will changing my compression rod bushings this weekend and I would like to know if its safe to do.

I tried a lot of different things, but the only way I could fix my problem was to replace the cluster.
-
I had speedo issues too. I ended up changing the speed sensor with a new one and I still had the same problems. I ended swapping my cluster from one from a wrecker and everything was fine. Even my tach started working. Could be your cluster is bad.

That's the one I have. It seems to be the cheapest option out there. Or just go to a junk yard and get the tube there.

Those look like the ones on my AC arms.

I saw that post too. Almost tempted to get that sticker.

I'm wanting to do this with the hubs that I have. Where do you get the 28 spline internal gear? Order from Warn?

He ships via UPS ground to Canada. This makes it not worth it for us. You will get raped with brokerage fees. -
How did the spacers ruin your UCAs?
-
Sounds like you got the right ones. They are prone to loosening. Same thing happened to me shortly after I got mine last year.
-
It's just in behind the distributor. Take the cover off of it and you can see it better.

I'll keep an eye here in Surrey. Thieving bastards should be shot! Unfortunately, our model of Pathfinders are on ICBC's 10 most stolen vehicles. From what I was told, is that the tumblers wear out, so you can use a similar style of key to start the truck. While I have an alarm with an immobilizer, I always use my club too.

I took my truck into the shop today. It's a technical university, so I only get charged parts. In addition to my cv axles, I need a new pitman arm, idler arm and tie rod ends. I knew I should have stayed home Sunday. Now I am without a vehicle until next Wednesday or Thursday, because right now the university doesn't run weekends, Monday and Tuesday. At least I saved myself a bunch of cash.

I finally got done drilling out the stuck bolt remains and retapping the holes for a 5/8 bolts. I had to enlarge the holes on the UCA spindle too. Also replaced the shock and tomorrow it goes to a local college to get the students to do the cv axles on both sides. You know, just when you think you have all the right tools, there will be something you don't have that you need really bad. I could not get any reduced shank drill bits and I had to buy a drill with a 1/2 inch chuck. It never ends.
-
I got around to removing what was left of the bolts tonight (only the back one, the other one is stuck good!) and it looks like the half of the threading in the bolt holes is stripped. Something I overlooked when I changed out the stock UCAs. This could have allowed the bolt to loosen overtime. We did find one of the broken bolts on the trail and it looks like there was some play in there by the way the bolt is worn. I'll take a pic of it later. I picked up some 1/2 inch grade 8 bolts and they are actually too small. I'll have to go bigger after I drill out the stuck bolt and retap the holes. By the markings on the bolt that was in there, it was a 1/2" grade 8 bolt. I do not believe that is stock. The bolt on the other side are smaller. Something must have happened when the previous owner had it. It's now my belief that if the threading was good all the way through and the bolts were good and snug, this probably would not have happened.
-
What grade of bolt would you suggest I put in there? Grade 8?

I was going over some pretty rocky terrain when this happened. My front tire was tucked up beside a rock and my truck wanted to move to the left. I guess the rock won. Since the truck is my daily driver too, it really sucks being without wheels. And my wife took our other vehicle to visit her folks. I actually had to take the bus to work today. The first time I've been on a bus in about 10 years.

I really thought some other things would break before these did. We tied a tow strap around the frame and the UCA to limp back 30km for a tow.

Suspension Lift Kit vs JGC Springs

Did you use UPS? ALWAYS use USPS. It may take a little longer, but you get dinged less.
