  1. I've been calling around, as I need to fix the pathfinder. Nobody stocks or can even get a Pitman arm.... anyone have any input on where to get one ASAP?
  2. I also have the SPORTRACK, i Used u-bolts to attach it to my round yakima racks. Pic below
  3. I have 15x8 wheels with 4" backspacing and 32" tires, this is a good combination with minimal amounts of rubbing (can be fixed in about 5 min).
  4. Sorry, have to share this.... -40 plus wind = brr. This was 2 weeks ago i believe
  5. Specialty 4x4 shops would probably do it, but they would charge a specialty price too. I suggest doing it yourself also, you learn alot about your Pathfinder at the same time and it`s quite easy to do. Just read as much as you can about the install beforehand like what to look out for, etc and you should have no problem. You can spend the money you save on a set of wheels or tires and it will be much more rewarding!
  6. I have Sirius and I like it. I have mine wired to my head unit using the axillary in and it sounds better than the fm transmitter function. This is the one I have - Starmate 4
  7. Wow nice work, thanks for doing that. I don't think you need to add the indexes, most people should be intelligent enough to figure out page numbers.
  8. I've never had any trouble with mine, they stick out 2-3" and fling mud and water everywhere, no mud flaps or flares either. No troubles yet. edit - now that I think about it I have a related story. I was going for a cruise in may(ish) and noticed some kids with a pathfinder stuck in a construction lot next to a piece of machinery. Stopped to help them out and I guess some previous passers-by thought they had hit the equipment and called the cops. They looked at mine and made some stupid jokes and pointed out that I had a broken "link" (actually just the sway bar mount, as i have my rear sway removed). They never said anything further about it though, never got any guff considering the situation though.
  9. I get about 15mpg if my calculations are correct. That usually means no more than 400km/tank. I'm going to do some work when it warms up (change the plugs, maybe new wires, fuel filter, etc), that might boost my mileage a few points.
  10. Wouldn't that result in the plastic being alot more brittle and susceptible to road and trail damage?
  11. I found a pic of what I am considering:
  12. another possibility.... maybe not
  13. I've been meaning to put mine together for some time now, I have all the plumbing but need to decide which way to go about it. Lately I've been thinking about having it come out of the fender near the windshield and instead of going all the way up the pillar, just have it stick up 6" or so and cap it (similar to military type snorkels I have seen)
  14. Good idea, maybe I'll find a set... I think I have the 4.3's now. Whats an average price for such gears? Also, is the 4.9 Xterra a stock setup?
  15. I have been noticing the extreme lack of power recently when doing snow wheeling in all the fresh powder we got. Would the most beneficial upgrade to my '95 m/t with 32's be the expensive gearing change or would a lock-right be a better bang? I have heard bad things about the lock right in incy conditions too...
  16. I thought that their customer service left something to be desired?
  17. Ah yes I recall hearing about this....would and inch of lift in front be enough to smooth out the alignment/camber issue?
  18. So, I think I will install some of my parts (bjs, steering, ucas) in the next couple days. If I install my RC UCA's, do I have to crank the bars right away? Since I still have plenty of tread life left on my rubber, lifting more at the moment would just make it tippy without the wider meats that I will get when the current tires are done. So can I install the uca's and not lift or will this create alignment issues? The steering is going in regardless so I thought I would do it all at once.
  19. Just turn up your radio and save some money!
  20. Go check out a truck stop, they have all sorts of brackets that you can choose from. Thats what I used for my lights....
  21. I took my DRL module apart and was unable to find any visual signs of damage or a poor solder. I replaced it with a new one from the dealer and problem solved. A new module is appx. $120
  22. Well $220 later I have 4 Lifetime guaranteed TRW ball joints. Looks like all I need now is a IAB... I forgot to order it earlier.
  23. Great, got the info I needed. Off to Canadian tire to spend some money I guess!
  24. :tonguefinger: I need some BJ's (4) asap so I can do some work on the pathy. Will Moog bj's be any better than ones I would get from canadian tire or partsource? Summit has none in stock, any ideas where else to look to get them SOON?
  25. Me too, just got my new centerlink this week actually.
