  1. I had this happen last month, took it to an alternator shop and found out that a diode was bad in the alternator....had a high pitched whine like a remote controled car.......check it out in the dark....your guages and headlights probably get brighter when you hit the gas pedal....
  2. I had the same prob a few weeks ago and when i wiggled the wires at the MAF it worked for me too, thought it was just mine....hmmmmm
  3. kill me for reading this.....its a good song.
  4. mine was the same way, put a strong screwdriver between the bottom of the calliper and the rotor, pry away.....its just stiff and it will ( the bottom) slide up...once you break it loose it will be fine.
  5. With a screwdriver, a beer and a hammer. -alcohol-
  6. Make sure you "push downon the stick then shift" to get in 4 L
  7. JEEZ people....heres a funny thought, to the guy who keeps saying why no pics of the plane........WHY NO PICS OF A MISSILE FALLING ON THE PENTAGON? Just a thought for the "know it alls" out there......just like if a tree falls in the woods and noone is around will it make a sound? whatever......food for thought....
  8. I was trying to figure out how to do a cheap lift.....I came to the right place because there is nothing but good help here and I threw the uca/jgc lift on in 1 day....
  9. I am guessing that you checked your ball joints? If not, lift your front end off the ground....grab the top of your tire(s) and try to wiggle them from top to bottom...if either tire wiggles top to bottom it isyour ball joints....I had a lunking noise at slow speeds going over small bumps and it all went away when I replaced the ball joints. Just figured I would put that out there incase you hadnt checked.....when i say wiggle, i mean pull then push on the top ofthe tire...if the bottom goes in when you pull or the top comes out when u push the bottom, there's your prob.also check your upper control arm mount bolts, if they come loose as mine did, it will clank over bumps and when u hit the brakes. Good luck!
  10. Yeah i've been finding it for around 60-90 dollars online.
  11. I tightened the bolts here and the noise you are referring to stopped....i only heard the noise when traveling at a good speed and hitting a "dip" in the road or something. Good luck. I had this saved in my documents give it a try. Instructions :: Nissan Suspension Popping Noise Fix (It may take a few minutes for the pictures to load) Symptoms: The 1984 to 1985 Nissan 720 pickup, 1986.5 to 1997 Nissan Hardbody (D21) pickup and the 1987 to 1995 Nissan Pathfinder (WD21) all share a very similar front suspension design. In some cases it is possible for under torqued suspension components to move at their contact points which causes a distinct metal popping noise. The noise most often occurs when the suspension is flexing or when the steering wheel is turned. For me, I seem to hear it most while turning when I hit a dip or bump. The lower link to frame mount is the most common source of this noise. This mount has a large metal to metal contact area increasing the chance for noises when under torqued. Tools needed: Torque wrench or large breaker arm, 19 mm socket .. Amount of time 5-10 minutes . . Below is a photo of the typical front suspension setup. The highlighted boxes in yellow show the location of the two bolts which must be checked for proper torque. Each box contains two bolts. There are four bolts total which must be checked. Above is a close-up of one highlighted box. . Above, the arrows point to the two bolts connecting the lower link to the frame. You may or may not need an extension to tighten these depending on the socket used. .
  12. try to tighten these 2 bolts also there are two on each side by the lower control arms.
  13. TRY THE SEARCH FUNCTION, IT'S IN THERE....IF NOT MAYBE THIS WILL HELP....sorry for the caps all. http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showto...8&st=0entry99
  14. Inspect the entire undercarriage for rust.....It should definately be recieving rust by now....under rear seats, on frame behind rear tires.

  17. Madhatter you are a genious!!!! lol cant go wrong with his advise.....clean the oil off and check.......
  18. Why use fog lights w/o headlights? Seems pretty lame especially considering if you hit a bump all lights go off or they all come on......get aftermarket lights and run a toggle switch.
  19. Check your alternator, had the same problem about 3 months ago....alternater was swamped with water and it got fried.....I replaced it and it works fine. Any auto parts store will test it 4 you for free.
  20. Gain some weight, it will even things out a bit.
  21. You read my mind...lol....been on the phone for a few days tryin to find a good attorney, I'm not into suing the guy that pushed the button, accidents happen but there should have been a working safety latch at least and obviously it didnt work so we'll see. My arm feels a bit more mobile, I can move it but my hand is still numb and it has been a week....guess now when I turn wrenches I won't have to cuss when I skin a knuckle...lol.(oh and the safety latch was an automatic one) Thanks everyone for the generosity.(hope I spelled it right.)
  22. My thoughts exactly....but seriously, just be careful and have fun!
