  1. Speaking of which... Do I need to contact my insurance place once I install my ARB?
  2. Is that becuase a factory bumper protrudes, thus directing impact only there rather than the the brush guard folding back onto the hood, grill, lights which may not have happened otherwise? Or is there more to the theory.
  3. How to check your SES/CEL light for free I can't stress how usefull the scanguage is though... Best purchase ever. Our new Dodge Ram trucks at work are always blasting codes...
  4. I think it was just one that they've had in the wearhouse forever. Reg price was almost $1400, and up here the suppliers I was looking at were quoting anywhere from 1500-1700. A large gap between prices, maybe the I got doesn't come with the lights, and the ones sold in town do, or something along those lines... Is the factory grey paint on the ARB a powder-coat, or can I scuff it down and spray it when it gets here?
  5. I just ordered mine, which should be here on Weds. Including shipping and tax it came to under $1100CAD! Any clearance issues with oversized tires and this bumper? I'm hoping to go 33x10.5 on procomp 15x8, 3.75" backspacing, after the AC lift and spacer.
  6. Just thought I'd throw this out there... I may have actaully read about them here or already posted about them, but a Scanguage II is an excellent and cheap little tool for reading and clearing trouble codes, aswell as showing you engine data that your factory guages dont... I have mine displaying volts, intake air, coolant temp and economy generally. Ebay or scanguage.com
  7. Although I have my whitewalls showing on my current tires, i'll be all blackwalls from now on.
  8. Good Find... ARB3938020 ARB Sahara Bull Bar For 00-02 Nissan Pathfinder Price: 950.00CAD
  9. Brand new ARB Sahara for 00-02' R50s, $950 CAD... http://www.nsor.com/blowouts.cfm?id=145 I'm gonna try to snag one since tmorgan wont sell me his.
  10. Any chance the pics can be reuploaded? I can't see anything, unless it's a Firefox issue. You can probably count me in for one of these. I need something by fall, or sooner. Any progress as of late?
  11. I tired to buy those, but they wont ship to Canada... Sigh....
  12. Is that Kamloops you were stomping around in?
  13. Thoughts... My hood wasn't latched down all the way, so that was probably setting it off, since it's storming outside right now (4am...). I couldn't find any alarm/security relay or fuses, so i pulled the horn relay AND fuse, then set off the alarm. At least its quiet now if it does go off.... Could my NAPA blinker switch cause this, or was it probably just the hood? Everything seems to work otherwise.
  14. Tried a lot of searches and only found the thread about resetting the immobilizer, so.... OKAY, I need to disable my alarm completely. I replaced my signal flasher unit today with a none Nissan one, (1/5th the cost) and my alarm has been gone off on its own (factory system) twice at random times, several hours later. I"m going to go outside and see if there is a fuse to pull, but please post something if you have any ideas. This is brutal! The Thread explaining my signal issue....
  15. I'd like to buy the ARB for myself. Prices in town are about ~$1400 for it if I recall correctly... Way to much for a bumper, not including a winch! It looks soo good though. I'll be keeping an eye on these bumper threads, I definetely want something winch-worthy for under a $1000CAD.
  16. Thanks 5523! I grabbed a generic one from NAPA and it everything works great now. My alarm went off earlier though, and was blinking its lights like I havn't ever seen before. It might sound funny to say, but I sure hope someone was breaking in, rather than some weird wiring issue!
  17. Wow that wasn't fun to get out... I have the part you described... Off to Canadian Tire and NAPA to see if they carry it. Nissan has none in stock and they're ~$65 bucks anyways... It looks in good shape on the inside, so I don't know... Sigh. Multimeter time.
  18. I don't think I have that... There is an OBDII port at that location and nothing else other than a large black box which has two connectors running into it. Way to much wiring to be a flasher unit, I think. If I can I'll take some pics later today.... I'm stumped. Any other pics, or info you guys? My manual has nothing. Off-topic: I ordered a ScanGuage II last night after reading a thread from Xplorx4. It looks almost identical to the DataStar units in some of the Western Star trucks I use to drive.
  19. It wont work at all anymore, so I can't listen for it. There are 3 small relays or something on the fuse panel under the dash, but none of them are labeled on the schematic. I tried pulling each one by one anyway while the blinker was frozen on, and nothing happened other than the blower fan and interior lights, etc. turning off. Didn't see anything else that looked like a flasher unit. Surely someone here must know.
  20. My turn signals started to work intermittently, either staying on solid and not blinking, blinkinf for a moment and then turning off or not working at all. I pulled fuse and replaced it, but can't find the module/relay either under the dash or under the hood which controls the blink... Nothing is labeled as signal. I also unscrewed the signal/headlights lever, gave the contacts a shot of contact cleaner and relubed it. No luck... Whats my next step? There must be a blinker module somewhere that I can try replacing. 2002 Pathfinder Chilkoot Thanks in advance
  21. I didn't want to ask, but if someone posted plans to the spacers, I figure I could easily make my own. Off-topic: OBX, what roof basket do you have up there? Are those Hella 500s?
  22. I've been watching that thread, and eagerly await a picture and finished product. Getting back to the All-Mode / Hubs thing... Is it doable or dangerous, if even needed.
  23. OBX, that truck of yours is a beautiful thing. Which AC lift did you use? I understand they can come with a variety of shock/struts. Were the spacers included with your AC kit? If not, where did you get them, or who sells em... Also, what size tires are you running?
  24. OK, I'm considering lifting my pathfinder, but the warn hubs/cv angle, clearance, and tire size issues are unclear to me. I have noticed that even if a thread is posted in the R50 section, a lot of WD21 or older model R50 owners start giving advice or information that maybe relates more to their own vehicle rather than the one in question. A lot of helpfull assumptions I guess.... While I consider myself a n00b when it comes to Nissan trucks, I DO know that know that not all 96-04 powertrains are the same. For one, the 3.5L engine in mine didn't arrive until 01' and the floor-shift models are based on a completely different transfer-case system than the electronic All-Mode models. My biggest worry is whether or not the hubs are compatible with my electronic All-Mode system. I understand the concept of unlocking the front hubs, so that the cvaxles are NOT rotating all the time, thus reducing wear on the boots and overall drag, maybe increasing fuel economy slightly. What confuses me is that the Warn website refers to part 29091 as being for V6 PFs up to 2001. Was the drivetrain different after 2001, as was the engine? Are all Pathfinders newer than 2001 equipped with the electronic All-Mode? The potential for an accidental 4Hi engagement with the hubs unlocked is there. What kind of damage if any would result? I was asking a Nissan Mechanic about some of this and he insisted it was a very bad idea to install any type of un-lockable hubs on the electronic, variable torque models, like mine, while it was totally fine to do on a floor-shift. Any comments on that? Also, I just ordered 4 General Grabber AT2s in size 255/70/16 for my hideous stock wheels. My stock tires were 245/70/16 on the Chilkoot, while the LE/SE used 255/65/16s. I wanted to gain height, but 245/75s are E rated and i imagine snow/ice traction starts to go out the window at over 255, also the argument of what tires fit stock wheels on stock suspension seems unsettled so 265/70/16s seemed really risky. If the lift is viable, I'll be planning on fitting some 265/75/16s on a wider, offset wheel later on. What size/offset would I need? I'm guessing 16x~10 with 4" backspace. Advice please! I've seen some nicely done up Pathfinders on the web, but none in the real world. I would like to do something similar to this one.. I can grab the ARB bumper in town for about $1600CAD before tax... Anywhere better? My final question for now... Are there strut mount spacers available for a 1" or 2" lift that wouldn't require new springs and struts and allow 31-32" tires?
  25. I vote scorpian... That CSA Magnum is also pretty sharp, but the deep lip on Scorpian is just plain sexy. Just my opinion, but I'd rather have my factory rims than either of your other two decisions. What size tire are you planning on running?
