-
i know navy wanted some...he asked me today
-
dude tose stock points are so high ow it doesnt matter LOL. but i do have a huge d ring going right in the middle haha. edit: heres more pics: that was for the mounts that just got welded to the subframe, i had this bumper mounted up before but it was pretty gay, i cut it down and made new mounts, my buddy billy helped weld although both of our welding looks like a small child with down syndrome attempting to write with hot metal... heres what i cut it down to: progress on the mounts: bumper is just tacked in place im gonna finish putting most of the front end together hopefully later tonight
-
if this strikes enough interest ill post some pics but im far too lazy got the bumper mocked and tached up tonight....just a bit ago. its sweet and the to do list is getting smaller every day
-
just cuz i like to ask questions...how are they better?
-
OWNED lol.
-
aaron do you have pics of the job you did on rami's truck?
-
sam it was a quest alty. earlier model 90a iirc. i had to modify the lower mounting bolt as the hole on the 95 pathy wasnt threaded just used a longer bolt with a lock washer and nut combo on the backside. it came out of the 87 so i had to swap pulleys.
-
best guess....an r50 LOL
-
dont wanna thread hijack check your PMs. as far as skinny's iirc he fabbed it up himself.
-
the link posted isnt a direct link aaron, you have to go to products>suspension, etc....i navigated all over and couldnt find anything or the r50s
-
shame they dont have a package for the r50s....not that i can find anyways
-
i designed a similar one to wayne's but not as deep herm i actually just picked up a surco rack because i mount my hi lift on the tire carrier and ive definately needed gas while on a multi day trips before. especially if you crawl around in 4 lo in 1st gear all day (not sure how automatics fair) but in like 3-4 hrs ive used a solid 1/4 tank or more just exploring. they make several mounts for gerry cans. AC makes one but its pricey and not guarenteed to fit the r50 tire carrier another company that ive of course forgotten the name of that does army navy surplus has a mount like AC called CON-FERR BLITZ JERRY CAN CARRIER and also has a more simple mount called BLITZ JERRY CAN MOUNTING BASE (search google). there are also adapters made by con-ferr that would allow yuou to stick it on the outside of your tire..not sure i like that look though and also what happens if you get rear ended with that puppy on the outside of the tire...OOPS BANG lol. im roofing it myself. just my 4 cents
-
thats a nice write up...took me like 5 hours. ill take out some of the first part though....
-
but if he takes his doors off....since im the only one to ever do that..he would be copying me...alex sir...you stand corrected
-
i also agree. fueler i had some ready to go...but no one wanted em. so did tyler...now its too late. i mean one of us could call the guy up again no problem...but youre looking at 1/6 the costs of a real lift kit....just for spacers
-
if anyone finds out i wanna know who he is so i can meet him and ask him why hes copying me... jeeze...next thing you know hes not gonna have doors either!!!
-
who the fudge is this guy?
-
yeah your up in syracuse with some pretty cold temps...maybe you communte to work which heats them suckers up real nice and then they cool down fast because its so cold - which could contribute to the "warping" factor maybe.
-
warped rotors USUALLY cause pulsating in the front end. the calipers wouldnt be affected so much and the pads only after time
-
wow didnt notice before but loose those cheapie wlamart baja lights...kinda takes away from the front end. otherwise pretty sharp
-
the ac skids have a bit more room to get to the drain bolt its like a square so you can get up there easier and its not offset like bpa's hole on the defender. you might still have to drop the front skid but im pretty sure yuou can just reach around it and grab the filter off. dude thats a nice looking pathy...
