oh we get free tests if we fail, but still 40, geez "want my arm and leg too?" . apperently our trucks pollute too much, forget about all the Oil refineries they dont pollute at all.

if you run over to sears you can get the rancho 5000s for 39 if you get there the right time during sales, but they some times go back up to the regular 49 with some sort of rebate for instilation i think, like 5 bucks or something. installiation is 13 per sock, so between 200-250. hehe i get an employee discount, a whoping %10

hehe it would cost more around here to bribe an attendent, it costs just a low payment of about $40 to just get emessions done regulary. imagen what the attendent would want . used to cost 8 bucks not to long ago.... :furious:

you check the sensitivity? never know, you could have a morning walker walk by and set it off.

its sounds like its a sticky solinoid, oil and dirt gets up in there and causes it to stick and what not. i had to get mine recondition, cost me $45. was pretty gucky when i got it out, ran like a charm when i got it back.

ive been stuck worse than the first but not as bad as the second. i highcentered in a 15foot diamiter pool of water with a thin layer of mud and a ton of clay, watery clay is some bad stuff. sticks to every thing. i had water up to my door seals and the engine with a rough idle and 5 ppl inside. was fun till i couldnt get out.
-
yea thats what i was thinkin. how did you get stuck? no traction in the back? good thing you didnt highcenter in that stuff there, now you would be stuck then
-
same here, you could have it roll down a cliff of hit it going 50 and it wont go off but if you open the door with the alarm on, watch out. ive got a 130 decible air horn hooked up to it and man is it loud. i know exactly when it goes off cause i can hear it across the nieghbor hood. keeps thieves away every one knows whos rig it is

well i tested the ECU and go two things: battery low and everything ok. i think imma talk my buds dad into helping me check it out, hes ASE certified and i dont think he would mind, he did charge my friend 20bucks to put on his shorty headers. but this is alittle different that headers...
-
would it be something that a novice could do? or is it just time consuming? otherwise i gotta find a trans shop to work on it. ill run the ECU tests and see what comes up. thnx for the replys

alright, im wondering if any one has any ideas on this. i can have it in D and it will not shift when its supposed to, ill accelerate like normal but when its time to shift from 1st to second it will continue to rev untill i let off the gas and it drops RPMs then it will engage the second gear, same with 3rd. reverse is fine, i can drop it in 1st and run fine then manualy switch to second BUT it wont switch at that moment , it will still continue to rev till i let off the gas then it will engage the 2nd gear. any thoughts? i think its the solinoids, if it is how hard would you guys say it is to fix? :help:
