  1. I love mine: you can always put a full-sizer on there, but like mws says, you gotta do what floats YOUR boat!
  2. Marcel, you know where to find me if you need a hand getting your site back up (no backup copies of your site  ) I doubt this is much help as it is an older copy, but you gotta start somewhere! Linky Linky
  3. Ended up with the Taylor's, but I paid $200 plus taxes AND they could take 4-6 weeks to come in I have to go rest after getting bent over the counter at Van And Truck World, but thanks a million for the feedback everybody!
  4. I would prefer the thugs steal my truck than deface it like that... Oh, you mean the owner wanted it to look like that? Must have been -alcohol-
  5. HEY! Wait a minute! That WAS the best line through there! ...and I don't have heated seats and it was still a blast
  6. Thanks for the feedback everybody...Taylors it is!
  7. So I am looking at doing a bit of a tune up on the old girl and wondered if anybody had any experience with these: Linky #1 Linky #2 Are there any electrical experts out there that can comment on the following? Sounds like BS to me, but what do I know...They are over $400 CDN, and I can't imagine there are too many people driving WD21s that can afford that for a set of friggin' plug wires! I am leaning towards the Taylor ThunderVolt 8.2 for about $160 CDN. Still not peanuts, but seem like good ones for the price.
  8. Wow, so around $950 labour alone? I *guess* that is OK for a job well done and the peace of mind given they actually seem to give a damn about what they're doing! For that much dough, won't they fix your leaky crossover pipe?
  9. Hey Skrill, how'd that shop you used work out? Would you recommend them? Let me know as I have a little exhaust work on my list of mods for later next year.
  10. It's all good... The Jetta did get better mileage, and it was way, way more fun to drive... Yup, twins. Nobody told me that I would need a moving truck to go to the cottage for a weekend and the wife-unit put the kaibosh on the whole minivan idea. It was either a new Pathy, X or 4Runner. I wanted to stick with Nissan and the X was too small....pathy won! ...NOT that I am trying to explain myself
  11. Just looking at your avatar...I'm hoping it's a pre-lift pic: Anyhoo, all that s_h_i_t aside...good luck with the SAS! Edit: Oh yeah, and I traded an 03 Jetta for the 05...the WD will be around for years to come!
  12. Perhaps you missed something...while it is a far better daily driver than your WD21, it simply is not as capable on the trails. BUT, it has probably already seen tougher trails than your "rig" (which by the way, looks like it's been slammed...they're called T Bars, try adjusting them) ever will. Having said that, the problem seems to be more the goofy traction control system...I can plant my foot on a good climb, but no spinny spinny and no momentum.
  13. Agreed! Would I be pissed if I traded in my WD21 for my 05? Yup. Hell I bought the thing on a whim and didn't even know it was IRS til I got it home and took a peek underneath The thing totally sux on the trail, but is great for hauling the kids around.
  14. I'm with Trainman when it comes to ice. Smaller footprint = more downpressure per square inch = better traction. With snow, I dunno, standard tire pressure is too much fun to mess with When it comes right down to it, the best way to find out what you CAN do in the snow/ice is to find out what you CAN'T do first! The more you lose control in a controlled situation like a parking lot, the better you'll know how your vehicle behaves.
  15. Congrats on a sweet machine Derogate...I have always loved those FJs. I figure all the work and hassle will make you appreciate it that much more!
  16. Email sent! I am in desperate need of a new rear bumper after this: ...and I really dig your design. I'd love to know how many hours you put into building this thing!
  17. My 95 doesn't have any holes yet, but it has was babied until I bought it about a year ago. IMO, it still looks WAY worse than it should! pssd
  18. I might be able to make it (if somebody helps my wife with the kids today ), but alas, I am also in a "non-gay" Nissan. On a side note, where do you live Luker? I am not far from that Tim's either...
  19. I used Royal Purple Max-Gear for my last tranny fluid change. It does say:  I assume this is OK? Anybody else using this stuff for their tranny?
  20. Sorry I missed this post Pez! I would have been busting your chops so you didn't forget Oh, and to answer your questions...1) Whatever your demands may be and 2) GOING TO BOBC!!! -bounce-
  21. Fantastic! Count me in for two!
  22. BAH! Guess I'm too late to get in on a white one huh? When is the next run?
