  1. What's not working? Seems ok to me and I finally added myself.
  2. They did snug up the bearing as there was some play (as well as an alignment, fuel pump, sending unit, tightened up a TRE nut...I think that's it ) It's my first time dealing with this shop and the guy was decent enough to cover a tow back to his shop so he could have another look...
  3. After a series of stuff breaking, I was finally driving the truck home from the shop today when I smelled something burning. Unfortunately, I kept driving until I heard and felt a clunking. I got out and checked the passenger side hub and it was smoking...and as you might guess, incredibly hot to touch. It got towed back to the same shop as I didn't want to start ripping stuff apart before they looked at it again. Question is, did this shop overtorque the bearing (not loosening the nut off after seating it) or are those symptoms more consistent with my hub blowing up...and by some strange coincidence within a few miles of leaving there? Any thoughts are appreciated...
  4. Yeah, I think you are dead on. Fuel pump and sending unit being replaced in the morning...just an FYI $350 for a fuel pump and $190 for sending unit. LET THIS BE A LESSON, DON'T RUN OUT OF GAS!!!
  5. Check out this thread csutke: http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showto...=fuel+pump+fuse Any chance it could be wet? Interestingly, on the way back to the orafice today I stopped at one of those touchless car washes that blasts the bottom with high pressure water. I'll be heading back out in the morning to check for water around the sending unit.
  6. Well sorry to revive an old thread, but this guy has EXACTLY the same problem I do. Unfortunately this thread kinda died off with no resolution posted. Anybody have any additional ideas?
  7. Dat....was me. Many thanks to Simon for his brilliant idea about checking the fuse...got me to work *almost* on time. I even made it downtown for lunch and back. I just finished up at work, went outside and blew another fuse So, I try the 15 A fuse, blow that one after the truck ran for about 15 seconds. Now (after searching around here), I am heading back out to check for a short back at the fuel pump. Wish me luck...
  8. Yup, they are the same. http://www.roughcountry.com/nissan_hardbody.asp
  9. Looks like the bushing sleeves won't fit over the spindles...we called the support line and he said to open up the inside of the sleeves some more  Anybody else experienced this with these arms/bushings?
  10. What Simon said...if I had it to do over again, it's what I'd do! As he mentioned, plan on changing the UCA bushings frequently. If you do want to go Calmini, I have a really cheap set of UCA's for you! My RCs are going in tomorrow.
  11. If anybody around Toronto is looking for Red Line MT-90, Precision Tuning Motorsports at the South-East corner of Keele and Steeles stocks it. 2901 Steeles Ave. West, Unit 30 (Mapquest and Google Maps shows this location at Winston Churchill and Steeles!) Toronto, ON M3J 3A5 (416)514-0284 Just don't buy it all up by Wednesday when I get over there to pick up my 5 quarts. BTW, it is $13.99 a quart! -thnkboutit-
  12. Well local guy #1 fabbed a bunch and sold them to local guy #2. Local guy #2 welded it to my tire carrier. It was an issue finding the can that it was made for, but they are all over the place in the US. Guy #2 still has a bunch of the holders, but after shipping from Canada, you might be better off finding something local IMO. Good luck, post pics when you get it all rigged up!
  13. Make THIS part of your route and you will not be sorry. Rather than what Google Maps is suggesting, take the longer ferry to Newfieland and it will land you closer to St. John's.
  14. No lube even, bone dry! Not even the courtesy of a reacharound $26.25 GST (fair enough) $39.10 BROK FEE (face getting red) $2.35 GST ON BROK FEE (for some reason, this is the one that gets me worked up) Anyhoo, my rule of thumb is to prepare myself for double the cost I see on any US-based web site, and it is still below that, so I am happy-"ish". I will be happy-"er" when my truck steers straight again and I forget about all of the costs.
  15. Well they showed up today. Good delivery time and great looking product...however, UPS pulled another $70 out of my wallet for my good friends in Ottawa.
  16. Hmmm, whore myself out AND save $$ on parts? And to think I have been doing it for free all these years.
  17. Not much around at all yet. Even if the Calimini WAS available, I would wait for something else. There is a guy with some spacer lift info HERE ...and there is already a set of springs from AC that will lift the front about 2" and there is now talk of swapping in Armada springs to lift the rear. Another guy used air bags in the back to get a bit of lift...less than perfect IMO. Unless you are a real go-getter and want to try and hack something together yourself, wait around another few months and somebody reputable will have a decent kit available. Just my $0.02.
  18. How'd you manage that? Aren't you a Canuck as well?
  19. Give me a couple of years and I'll give my opinion on the TCs , but until then all I can tell you is that the Calminis are not worth the $$. Since I noticed my bushings were shot, I have been reading around and have not heard anything positive about them. That I didn't know...good to hear.
  20. Yeah I think that's too much...I paid just over $200 shipped to Canada. Are you calling them directly? I think the UCAs themselves were $150-something and the rest is shipping. You should expect to pay around $20 for shipping.
  21. I assume you have Calmini bushings? Thanks for the offer, but I just ordered a set of RC's yesterday.
  22. Haha! No doubt! My L&P CL has been solid. As you know I can't say the same for some of my Calmini products.
  23. Thanks for the feedback guys and thanks Simon, sounds like an good idea. I considered going back to Calmini and see what they will do for me, but who has the time to deal with that? Best case scenario would be another set of the same crappy bushings anyway. Where did you order your Superlifts from? I may just order the whole set and steer clear of Calmini products in the future.
