  1. Even though they aren't listed on their site, I'm pretty sure Shrockworks will sell you some: http://www.shrockworks.com/Nissan-Skid-Plates-c-260.html
  2. Sorry to dig up an old thread - anybody know what is going on when an R50 throws P0021? All I can find is this page: http://www.engine-light-help.com/P0021-che...gine-light.html ...but it's pretty generic info, so I wondered if anybody had VQ specific experience??
  3. I couldn't find the Thorley's on Summit...do you have a link?
  4. Pretty sure that when I looked into it before, Calmini did not retain the stock bushing size - hence my move to Rough Country UCAs
  5. "Because of the cachet of the world-famous Ford name..." Aw man, too much - I needed that laugh.
  6. I think that actually sums it up nicely - Why piss off the few people left in the world who might actually purchase one of your non-truck products?? *shakes head*
  7. Amen to that brother - I am still waiting for the day somebody figures it out. I am also finding it a pain in the butt in the snow - I have to turn it off even when in 2wd as it is horribly unpredictable. Of course, even when the VDC is disabled, you still have the goofy traction control, which is the real problem when off road.
  8. I had my dash all ripped apart to install a new stereo, had to go out for new wire and had no signals. It turned out to be because I had the hazard harness unplugged...so it is definitely tied together. Check that harness and even try swapping out the hazard switch for one from another truck that you know works.
  9. Dude, because it's not on their site yet. Since you're so desperate for mods, order all 3 and you can post the pics up here for us! BTW, what is up with your links?
  10. They will make a bumper that looks like the Fronty bumper, just mounts up a bit differently. I might be interested in sliders if they would make them long enough...and they are more realistic $$ until my lottery numbers come in Now if only I knew somebody in the US to get them shipped to. Ooops, just looked back in my email again: Wayne, We have a Pathfinder bumper and sliders, and full underbody skids...Unfortunately it is not on the site yet. The bumper looks exactly the same ( I think it's the same price), we just worked out the mounting. You can call to order. thanks, Nick
  11. I recall a thread on NTC on this subject. Of course I can't find it now, but at the time the only wheels available required the use of spacers and were not recommended. I am also interested for my R51...
  12. No-no, just researching for others In fact, I took a long lunch to go and look at the FJs today. Here is the response from Shrock...the fact that they replied to an email same day is a testament to the company: Wayne, We have a Pathfinder bumper and sliders, and full underbody skids...Unfortunately it is not on the site yet. The bumper looks exactly the same ( I think it's the same price), we just worked out the mounting. You can call to order. thanks, Nick
  13. I deeg, I deeg. I just sent Shrock an email to see if there would be any issues with installing on a Pathy...but you're right Pezzy, it should work!
  14. Bummer man, although I haven't had any serious issues yet, they just don't seem to be built like the WDs. One thing I just noticed the other day was that my AC never seems to shut off...whether the light is lit or not, it blows cold air when the fan is turned on. The realization that you may have purchased a POS is a really bad feeling. Not a good sign that somebody is turning from Japanese to domestic for quality reasons!
  15. Having just been through this, go out and drop $200 on a 4 channel aftermarket amp and completely bypass the factory amp, or better still find one on fleabay. Almost anything (including nothing) will be better than the factory amp.
  16. BAh, it was freshly oiled, I was never worried!
  17. There is definitely some crappy stuff about the new ones, but I am sure that people were all over Nissan when the R50 was first released as well. It's just a new set of challenges now...some just can't handle change. In 5-10 years, the same people will be wheeling the sh!t outa the R51 as well, although it is a huge bummer that 2 axles will have to be swapped instead of just 1
  18. They did snug up the bearing as there was some play (as well as an alignment, fuel pump, sending unit, tightened up a TRE nut...I think that's it ) It's my first time dealing with this shop and the guy was decent enough to cover a tow back to his shop so he could have another look...
  19. After a series of stuff breaking, I was finally driving the truck home from the shop today when I smelled something burning. Unfortunately, I kept driving until I heard and felt a clunking. I got out and checked the passenger side hub and it was smoking...and as you might guess, incredibly hot to touch. It got towed back to the same shop as I didn't want to start ripping stuff apart before they looked at it again. Question is, did this shop overtorque the bearing (not loosening the nut off after seating it) or are those symptoms more consistent with my hub blowing up...and by some strange coincidence within a few miles of leaving there? Any thoughts are appreciated...
  20. Yeah, I think you are dead on. Fuel pump and sending unit being replaced in the morning...just an FYI $350 for a fuel pump and $190 for sending unit. LET THIS BE A LESSON, DON'T RUN OUT OF GAS!!!
  21. Check out this thread csutke: http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showto...=fuel+pump+fuse Any chance it could be wet? Interestingly, on the way back to the orafice today I stopped at one of those touchless car washes that blasts the bottom with high pressure water. I'll be heading back out in the morning to check for water around the sending unit.
  22. Well sorry to revive an old thread, but this guy has EXACTLY the same problem I do. Unfortunately this thread kinda died off with no resolution posted. Anybody have any additional ideas?
  23. Dat....was me. Many thanks to Simon for his brilliant idea about checking the fuse...got me to work *almost* on time. I even made it downtown for lunch and back. I just finished up at work, went outside and blew another fuse So, I try the 15 A fuse, blow that one after the truck ran for about 15 seconds. Now (after searching around here), I am heading back out to check for a short back at the fuel pump. Wish me luck...
