Sorry about the additional damage, I got enough room to squeeze the front end in the garage if u need a dry place to fix it I have left a V-Mail for DJ..... Fact I know where Im gonna have lunch tomorrow if we dont get a response.... Whats funny is my camera was in the glove box

  9. This will make the 3th starter in 10 years and between 3 rigs, none of the after markets have the shield.....imo not needed... but I do believe it has a purpose for what I do not know, ill leave that some someone else....
  10. Whos gonna be the guinnie pig?
  11. Dont forget the Rotation to clear the mounts and no removing the oil filter will not help.(clockwise about 60 to 90) If its a stock starter it will have that little heat shield its even more of a B!tch. Also remove the 2 or 3 10 mm screws holding the AT lines, give you a little more wiggle room.
  12. 95SE must run no matter what the cost or inconvienience
  13. Fun Fun on Saturday morning ending in a :allclean: for the Pathys. Do the usual Saturday afternoon things. Then Halloween Carnival for the boys, then they are off to a Slumber party at someone esles house. WOOOOOTTTTT!!!!! No Kids for the evening MORE FUN FUN with the Wifey out for dinner, no movies are interesting so blockbuster here we come and we even get an extra hour then all morning 2:30 time to go get the boys, get in CLICK, CLICK, WTF :X , pop hood, oooo did not clean that part after the fun. Dont see any loose connections, tap starter with long screw driver, CLICK, CLICK, CLICK... Try it in Neutral, park, hell even in gear, CLICK,CLICK now in the Imorratal words of Slick "Im Miffed".... NP I have the starter from the 92 only 10' away, have to pull it out first. Its ready for the engine to be pulled....... Get it out NP in like 10 min... Now to pull the 95, I re-read the book, even consulted with Fun with Starters This was a stock starter with the heat shield, gaurd on it....... PITA to get those 3 little screws out so you can rotate it to get it to slip out the front above the center link, but manage to accomplish it. Go grab the 92's starter off the bench, did not have it fully grasped and it starts to fall.......BANG right on the solinoid and into 2 pieces :furious: ....neighbor comes over to see if im alright :furious: ......... Who's open on a Sunday afternoon at 5pm??? Got to have the 95 for work.....Shucks is.... hit parts america online order it for pick up.....go up to get it like 10 min away and its not in stock according to the computer.... WTF.... its at a different location, call, call, call, call, none anywhere in Spokane :furious: .....finally I convince the idiot at the desk to go look on the shelf where its supposed to be(online orders remove it from local invintory so they dont sell it before its pick up)OMFG its there. ($150) Get back the house, slip it into place, reconnect the oil sending unit wire connect the clip on and the + cable to the starter, tighten it all back up.....Turn the key and nothing...............LMAO its dark out now and I did not notice I had not lights at all. Reconnect the Battery and try again........ Varoooooooooom................. Replace the skid plate and get back to some normallity around the house on a Sunday evening. This was not the first time I have gotten into one of my pathy's and had nothing from the starter, the 88 i changed 2x, 1st time by myself, second time I traded a 12pack to my brother in law. That was the best trade I have ever made
  14. I will figure out this muliti pic post sooner or later...
  15. Here are the ones with the Calmini bars. Do your best to make sure the bolts are recessed inside the cross member. These Calmini's are cranked about as far as I can do it with a standard 3/8s socket. Book says to have 3.03" of the bolt above the nut. MM, I would see about tightening them boys up before you do what Dowser managed to do. If yours is set like his were when he went out.
  16. You got a good screw left??? Take it into the local hardware store with you, find a nut to fit it, then you have the go-no-go gauge for the replacements:) If you dont have a good one left im out of ideas short of a parts break down.
  17. I am waiting for the "Trophy Hunt Pic" Was cool for a quick 2 hours this morning, we even managed to break 2 thing on Olivers rig...... If you need a Clean dry spot for fixin those wires let me know Ended at the Carwash :allclean: and the guy yells "We got 3 dirty ones coming in"
  18. 27mm socket on mine. You can remove the 2, 14 mm (i think) bolts on the starter and slide it forward about 1" then you can use a long sturdy regular screwdriver to wedge in the flywhel teeth. Becareful and go slow. The Harmonic Balancer needs to be the one that you screw 3 bolts into the HB its self. do not use the ones that have claws.
  19. D, Looked like the adjusting bolts for your T-bars are completely missing. If this is the case, I would assume they were protruding below the crossmember they sit in when you were banging on the rocks. Sounds like you had some fun doing it too, so I have some Pic's on my comp at home on what they should look like as well as the Hardware. As for the banged up LCA, I have never been there.
  20. Rack is on the bottom of the list, I will pick up the Thule book and look into it some more if there are no holes :contract: thank you Filthy
  21. LMAO -bounce- I was actually looking at a roof rack from Thule. But I am not willing to put new holes in a perfectly good roof just yet.
