  1. JCG Springs. I picked up the springs this afternoon and thought all was cool $20. Droped the rear end, per the instructions, got the stock springs out. The passenger side upper rubber seat did a vanishing act. Still have not found it went to grab a beverage before using the grinder and OMFG the new springs were shorter 14.5" than the stock ones i took out 17" :contract: . So that it for tonight, get to go back to Spaldings with a tape measure tomorrow.
  2. my fault for not having a tape measure with me
  3. Got the stock ones out and dinner in me Blows the ones I bought are only 14.5" unloaded, the stock ones that came out are 17" back to Spaldings in the morning
  4. DJ, Come over and help me put in these JGC sprins
  5. $10,918.78 US. Is a 1990 desiel even worth that much?
  6. What area of town are you in, and what type of work?
  7. Test run was good  not sure if it was luck or skill? Got the front end up in the air, cranked on them t-bars. Per Jim B's page, he had 3.5 inches of the bolt showing through the top of the locker bolts, I stopped mine at 3 inches, leave a little play. After bouncing it on and off the curbs around the block a couple of times. It settled at about 34" from the ground to the lip of the fender with 235/75 r15's. it was sitting at 31.5" JGC Springs will be picked up in the morning and I will have some fun.
  8. Amen to the Gas Light and the nearest station. My 88's gas gauge stopped working aound 180k miles, between that and when I parked it around 238k, i only ran out of gas once, and it was a short walk to the station :furious: My 95SE does not have a gas light
  9. I found some JGC springs at the local Junk Yard for $20 each, they said they had about 12 rigs out there with AWD V8's Ill be picking them up in the morning. Filthy, found Jim B's page it was the 1st on on the google, thankyou now its back under the beast.
  10. Guys, This is also the kit that I am looking at putting on my 92 $750+SH From what I have seen and read it does the job for a SL. I am not planning on a BL, just because I feel the SL is all that is really needed for the weekend brush beating and hunting that I do. Im still looking for the how to crank the t-bars:(
  11. This boy is gonna be in the garage till its time for new tires. Have to work out the timing and $$$, thinking ill put off the exhaust and get the BlackPanther instead, dunno, ill do all the math tomorrow at work:) I do need to find someplace local I can look at the brush gaurds and Lights. For the most part the 95 will be the everyday driver, but the 92 will be fun:)
  12. It is a Supply and Demand thing. Supply: They got plenty of oil without any from Iraq, Iran or any of the others on the ban list. Remember 10-15 years ago? We did not use any of their oil at that time either:) Demand: We use alot of go go juice, and some Oil Executives think they just need more $$$$$ for thier Bling. well thats my $.02 worth of opinion
  13. That appointment is tomorrow, not sure if Im gonna do it from the collector back or what just yet. Ill go see them at lunch.
  14. Added this to the 95SE, test drive had some noticable difference with acceleration and it sounded more throaty :cool2: For those interested, I will double check the MPG and if the nomral bog down going up hill is affected.
  15. Look what came in FedEx -alcohol-
  16. DJ, I completely missed this, sorry about that. I could not make up my mind Saturday night as to going down to Othello/Ringold or Project 92XE...then again it is the 1st time I have changed anything myself in a long time. Almost felt good The intake should be in this week for the 95, that will take about 15-20 min to unwrap and get in. Then I get to make up my mind on the exhaust
  17. Took about an hour, was going to put in a trany cooler, then had second thoughts, on this one it has been rebuilt and has about 20k on it. All the belts changed, still need to put the fan shroud back in and connect the upper hose, coolant then the praying to the Pathy Gods for a satisfactory run, burp!!! the baby and do it again:) Next step will be the torsion bars. any pinned posts with specifics or even a conversation with someone thats done it. Or is that something that we wait till the SL comes in??? $750 for the Calmini, is the steering system also required with that? Cant order anything till the 31st :contract:
  18. Wishing for a Inline T-Stat that is not a PITA to swap out.
  19. This is not the first time that someone has been in here, they RTV'd the hell out of the T-Stat. I Put it in some hot water, took it to boiling and yep that the problem it did not open. Header Bolts all appear to be stock and none are broken for some Amazing reason, I aint touching them Debating on the the Fan Conversion, but this probably will not be the last time I have it this far down in the front. Also wondering about the trany cooler.
  20. Found Jumper Cables Its in the Garage and this is what it looks like now. Themostat Removed, as well as the belts, fan, shroud, Radiator (built in trany cooler?), Battery for replacement.
