after recently tearing the upper link mounts off of the frame with the torque of the atlas t-case, we went back to the drawing board and came up with this... can''t wait to have it on the trail!

Another SAS, I love it. If you build the suspension geometry right then you shouldn't have body roll too bad. I drive mine on the street with no swaybars all the time. if you have other SAS questions drop by the rugged rocks forum. http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/forum

Marlin Crawler 58" Sliders for $149...
SteeevO replied to BonnerBB's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
FYI - The trail gear ones are now made out of DOM and i know where you can order a set http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/advanced_sea...il+gear+sliders -
i had mine do that back in the IFS days, just replace your bumpstop that is half gone. I used some energy suspension universal ones that were pretty thin but did the job, and i never poped CV's with them either. they worked perfect.

Dito. The pry bar is really the best way to do it.

you are running 35's IFS? do you have a pic? also if you are SAS'd then doing a hydro assist steering setup would help you tons. if you are IFS, there is a way to drill out some valve inside, "TheKing" on the Rugged Rocks Board would have more info.

A long long time ago i voted here and marked "Yup, they'll do great with minimal mods." but honestly the sky is the limit. first engine ran fine 'till it hit 347K mi. it's really a great truck and since the SAS it's only gotten better, I'm also looking to build a Hardbody to wheel "the hammers" in Johnson Valley, CA. The plan is to basically build a duplicate of the pathfinder in truck form and not worry about it being driven on the street or body damage. Total Nissan Nissan crawler

The RD24 and RD135 fit the same applications... and they are both correct. The RD24 was revamped and is now called the RD135 which is a stronger unit, they are now using chromoly steel for the gears inside the locker. They also switched from a 3 piece housing to a 2 piece. Let me know if you are interested in one. They are in stock ready to ship.
-
Another super heavy duty option would be to use steel braided brake lines for your air line. Let me know if I can help you out on that locker.

Hey Yozsi, I don't mean to get tooo off topic but, What are you doing for your rear suspension?

Look'n good! Let me know when you are ready to get that axle together so i can help you get what you need. Solid Axle Industries just started putting 30 spline stub shafts in thier front end kits. they also said they will press in nissan wheel studs for the nissan guys, that way you can run the same lugs on the front a rear. For info on the front end kit is here: http://blog.ruggedrocksoffroad.com/2008/07...-front-end-kit/ I can put a package together for you too if you need hubs, shafts, gears, etc. i'm looking forward to seeing another solid axle nissan out there! if you can , you should head out to the Nissan West Coast Meet in late october!

I know this forum has grown A LOT and i just wanted to introduce myself. (again) since i've been tied up on the Rugged Rocks forum which i own and operate. I wheel atleast one weekend a month (usually more) in the San Bernardino Mtns (Cleghorn trl, Lake Silverwood, Lake Arrowhead, Big Bear Lake) in So. Cal. often visiting Ocotillo Wells / Anza Borrego along with Lucerne / Johnson Valley. If you are also in so. cal lets get a run together! We (the nissan community) is having a HUGE Nissan West Coast Meet it's a non-organized run (no sponsor funding or anything, just a bunch of nissan guys out wheel'n some of the best and most unique in the country) Last August I did a solid axle swap on my nissan pathfinder and it's been a great truck off road, next week it's going in for a long arm rear 4-link w/ panhard along with an atlas transfercase w/ 5:1 low. Both of which will get articles written. like the one did for the solid axle swap whcih is posted here: Solid Axle Nissan Pathfinder Anyways, I'm on the Rugged Rocks board A LOT, so feel feel free to drop by over there as well and let me know if you need anything for your truck! feel free to e-mail at steven@ruggedrocksoffroad.com if you have any questions or if i can help you out with any thing.

Is it easy to change the thermostat on a 90 pathfinder?
SteeevO replied to NaturaTek's topic in The Garage
I don't know what else you have been through to fix this, (i'm assuming you have it posted around here somewhere) But where is it all flushing out from? and does anyone have that link to the FSM that he can use? Replacing the thermostat isn't exactly a walk in the park but it's not rocket science either. I'd say give it a go on yourself if you are comfortable working on your truck. -
is the vin on the sticker the same as the one on the dash?
-
Definately ditch the Nerfs, i'd also ditchi the mud flaps since they usually just get jacked up and bent up on the trail... Other than that it looks good. If you need shocks or anything else let me know.

Hey guys, I've been away from this board for a while and i'm looking to see if anyone knows the answer to a pretty unusual request. are the MAF's for the 3.0 and the 3.3 electronically the same? for ex. if there is a given amount of airflow through a tube, would they both read electronically the same to the computer?
-
where can i get a decent bull guard with plate?
SteeevO replied to Coucoui6's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
If anyone needs custom tube work done (bumpers) and you're in So Cal Check out Yota Masters in Corona. tell them I sent you there... they're awesome. I originaly thought Coucoui6 was looking for something specifically off the shelf...sorry man. I wanna get a So. Cal Big Bear run together as well.... so ya'll betta not go w/o me [[checks so cal section for proposed trail runs]] -
