  1. I think if you search around Nissan4wheelers.com they have some comprehensive info.
  2. I never understood what's so hard and involving about having manual hubs to you guys? I lock mine when i air down or whatever before I hit the trail, and i don't even bother unlocking them until i get home and powerwash the truck. You know that you don't have to lock them and unlock them every time you engage 4WD. It's ok to drive with them locked and transfer case in 2wd, in fact there is less wear and tear on the hubs when they're in locked position. Sometimes in the winter i keep the hubs locked as i like the way the steering feels with the diff turning on slippery surfaces.
  3. Your friendly Nissan dealer will have the required parts.
  4. It doesn't work like this. If you wheel with a suspension lift, you can have 29" tires and you'll still blow out your stock steering system. Just look at it and see how forces are distributed. There is no way of avoiding it. Nissan dropped the ball on their crappy IFS design.
  5. It's been proven that they're not better, but worse than stock bulbs. The light output is the same (same wattage, wouldn't be legal otherwise) and some light is filtered out by the blue coating.
  6. Other than the spline count being different, i am pretty positive that the axleshaft length would be different as the newer style Nissan axles are wider. I'd say that unless somewhere in other markets Nissan sold R50s with discs it would be nearly impossible to do easy component swap on them.
  7. Well.. we should ask first... what kind of tires you want? Winter, all-terrain, road only, off road, etc..?
  8. Well the shop I deal with is http://www.national4wd.com, but they're here in Canada. My buddy got a set of 4 31" Swamper TSL Radials for $160 a pop CDN, which is super cheap for good tires here. I recall that he was able to get bias ply cheaper than that.
  9. Hmmm... Bias ply swampers in small sizes aren't very expensive at all. Have you looked into those?
  10. It's hard to read, and it's part of the general internet etiquette. I for one usually skip most of things that typed in all caps... Just like yelling, i don't generally listen to people who yell at me.
  11. I don't think he understands that simple request, so the only sensible course of action is to break into his house and break his Caps Lock key while he's away to "TEAR @!*% UP OVER IN THE MOJAVE DESERT".
  12. If you think it's gonna help us get by until the real McCoy is ready, by all means go for it.
  13. I have never seen a lifted Nissan that didn't blow up the stock centerlink. Sure mall crawlers take longer than people who wheel, but the end result is always the same. It's obvious that the original poster doesn't know much about Nissans and their crappy suspensions, so might as well educate him right... no?
  14. Do you already have an aftermarket steering system? If not, don't lift your front end until you get that sorted out.
  15. I joined this forum after many promises of Pezzy calendar. So where is it? What's the holdup? Are we waiting for 2006 now? I want my money back. PS. will it be a monthly calendar or weekly? or how about a Far Side like daily with cool anecdotes or daily dose of sarcasm. :Magic:
  16. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....*gasps for air*.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA... *passes out*
  17. Either way, the striping is sexy.
  18. LOL... it's pricey, but it saves a lot of wear and tear on the vehicle.
  19. I am guessing you're talking about the 'rockcrawler' type wheels. Pretty much any off road shop, tire/wheel retailer, online parts retailer, etc... will have them. Those wheels are popular because they're cheap, strong and come in every imaginable size on earth. Plus the blue and red stripe on the rim of the wheel is just too kool.
  20. I am doing the install myself and the ARB unit is running me approx $1K CDN.
  21. The factory LSD in old Nissans is awsome. Took me to some crazy places, you have to know how to use it though. Many times newer Nissan owners thought I have a locker installed as I just crawled over stuff that made them weep... (you get used to that wheeling with the WD22 crowd). I got a call on friday that my ARB unit arrived, so i'll be installing it shortly. If you wheel your truck, there is really no two ways about it. Locker is the only way to go on technical trails. It saves your truck from a lot of damage.
