um, thats why you work on the motor on the stand upside down, or im i just not understanding any of this oh, i guess when you go to flip it back over to put it back in?\ if thats the case then you need to spend some time at the gym if you and a few buddys cant flip it back over long enough to throw a bolt in the engine stand sorry if that sounds dumb but i dont see that as a problem

yeah the black ones look good, and yeah they look like a lego block and it is a 4runner, a prado to be exact, kinda like a terrano...

I dont really it at all, the thing I do like is Toyota had the balls to make it. I dont like that its a 2-door, I like 4-doors so you have more acess to ur junk and you dont have to get out to let the ppl in the back out. I think the FJ is to wide, wider than it has to be. It does have IFS and it is this years UA rig, which I think is a joke, they shoud just stick to old iron they did with the c10 or whatever it was, just to make us poor folk happy. I think in 10 or 15 years down the road it will be a good rig to build off, like ours is but im not going to spend my money on something new and wheel it. oh and its ugly, i think pathys are ugly too (the front end anyway) but that gives it character, but the FJ

yeah i did a water crossing at night, the headlights were underwater, either earlier that day or the next day i did another where the hood was under, the i was playing around locally and i water shooting up over the hood covering the window, i had to keep the whipers on oh and as for 2wd, theres a jeep around that thinks he hot, long story short theres a fewe places where im the only vehicle thats ever made or tried to make, and it was in 2wd

Ok then, how bout what Dan said, just get a 33 block w/ pistons, swap over crank and heads, could i get away with that? I've heard alot different storys bout going that route, some say it works and others say it doesnt so i unno.
-
But it depends on if I can find a 33 block, and for cheap.
-
yeah thats one of my options, I just wanted some more info on this one, i may end up doing that, idk for sure yet and as far as i know the heads are still good, i dont want to find out really, yet anyway

I read somewhere that the difference between a VG33 anf VG30 is the bore size, ive been wanting to do a 30 to 33 swap for a while but never could afford it, now Ihave no choice. I aslo read that theres some different water jackets between 33 and 30, which may come in handy to know for sure. From what I understand the sleves in the 30 are thicker than the 33 and can be bored out to 33 specs. So my question is, has anybody ever done this or know of anybody thats done it, will Ihave to get 33 heads to put on the bored out 30? The reason I ask is because I need to do something with my motor since it slung a rod the other day.

dont feel so bad MM, my motor just blew up today... err... yesterday

i think he means the loopy thing that you bolt to the batt post, if thats the case either put it back on or get another one and put it back together see, just unbolt those 2 little bolts, place wire in 'seat thing' bolt bolts back down, place terminal back over post
