In this area we have "AM/PM" convenience stores which are also ARCO gas stations, and sell the mixed fuel (10%) I notice a drop in power and economy when using it. The Taurus I used to have absolutely hated that fuel… ran like crap and way lower economy. My Yota, don’t mind it much, but I do notice a slight power drop… with 33in tires economy is pretty much history anyway As for price, yeah they are lower… but Safeway grocery stores have gas stations as well, gas is usually about the same price and m Path runs just fine off of it… but not as good as off of Chevron fuel.

Same here.. a friend of mine had some on a truck and it seemed like he had just got them when he started shopping for replacement because his were wearing out. That's the biggest complaint that I have ever heard about them. Second would be traction. But, those tires were not really designed with constant pavement pounding in m mind... for all those who don't like them I also know people who absolutely loved them. So I guess the best thing to do would be try them for yourself

As every one has mentioned, those are some lucky people. it always amazes me how close some people feel they need to be. I mean "anything" can happen.. and with the HP those rigs are toting, it's not to be taken lightly.

Well here it is. Overall it's has not been modified greatly... as in no lockers, dual transfer case set up.. nothing like that. Just lifted and taken care of. Total of about 6in (4 spring/2 shackle) lift when it was installed quite a few years ago.. rear is sagging some so I may replace the springs or just toss a 1-2in block under it.. although I dislike lift blocks! TLC from the time I got it... converted to power steering (arguably the best change I made) 33x12.50 BFG Mud Terrains.. not the KM's as these tires are... hmm, they have got to be "at least" 8yrs old!, NWOR Recurve Kit (results of that are up in the air), extended brake lines, JVC system installed with deck/12 disk changer/amps/AL and RF fronts and subs... and little stuff that I just don't recall right now Have a replacement cab sitting in the garage for it, still need fenders, a hood and a bed. Cab will be heavily modified prior to mounting on the frame... this is a long term project that has become longer term due to the fact that single parents don't have a lot of time for such things lol EDIT: The 15x8.5 Centerlines currently on this truck will be making the move the the Pathy... have some 15x10 Alcoa for the Yota.

After reading your post I decided to go out and take a closer look at the risers... Based on the weight and rough cast "look" of them I assumed that they were also metal. But I was wrong.. :bow: as you said they are indeed plastic. My mistake.

When I started looking for a suitable roof rack (since mine did not come with one either) that was something that I considered.. tall enough to keep stuff off the deflector. But, they are... along with the risers ...made out of solid aluminum. And as such are tough enough to take some hits without damage. I have seen a few Paths around here that have had the paint removed from them... most of them that I have noticed look like they sanded the paint till it was gone and that's where they left it. One was actually sanded and buffed to a mirror finish... although it looked better than the others, it's not really my thing. I think they look best black or as one I saw, painted the same color as the body was (in this case Red).

I'll second that one... and along the same lines I'll add that the box end of a wrench can also be slid over the end of a ratchet handle to give the same effect as a longer ratchet handle. In this case a bigger wrench is usually best, but space limitations can effect what you can use.

:::Wipes sweat from forehead::: I'll see if I can dig up some pics of it... or if not I'll just take a new one It's not extremely pretty to look at.. you would be hard pressed to find a flat spot on it.. but that truck and I have a great history together... it's like a best friend to me! Like you, I was also looking for a 4Runner when I bought my Path... the deciding factor for me was mostly the price.. 'Runners cost more than Paths. But don't get me wrong I love my Path and don't regret getting it.

Seeing how the Jeep thing went. :secret: I'm kinda wondering if I should mention that I lead a double life... the second one as a Yotaman '88 Path & '83 Yota... proud of both!

That great news.. and when you do get it back give it a thorough once, twice, three times over.. then look it over again to make sure he has not done something to bite you back later on.

Based on your siggy picture, you are looking for the ones without the deflector.. correct? If so I have my original set.
