  1. I'm going to take a wild shot in the dark here and say Supply and demand. There just isn't the demand for an item that would take soo much time and research to fab up. .. I think.
  2. what about little buisness card type things. just wedge em in ppls windsheilds and wipers. Detailers do that all the time where i live.
  3. any news on the tail lights yet??? me want!! ME WANT!!! I'm dying here guys.
  4. http://www.koreus.com/files/200504/manakin-moonwalk.html haha.. damn 5 million years of evolution and the best humans can do is copy a damn bird?
  5. i seen really weird ones on a pathy the other day... it looked like it had the diamond pattern alluminum running boards like alot of trucks from that era (90-95) had, but they where painted green, and appeared to be one peice WITH the fender flares. Looked pretty snazzy actually.
  6. holy crap 25 mpg???? is that even possible in a pathfinder.. let alone with all those steep ass tranny eating hills in the area? If im lucky i get 700 km's to a tank making the trip from Vancouver to kelowna. mind you im speeding like madman as much as i can.
  7. i wish you could see the last pic a little bigger and without glare... but still it looks pretty sweet... you just have to have wide enough tires to match, otherwise it looks kinda goofy.
  8. IMO dont buy it from a manufactorer. Y Ou can make the same thing by going to the local auto store buying a K&N cone filter some big ol hose clamps and the correct size of rubber tubing. Some vehicles done even need tubing, you can just clamp the filter right to the MAf sensor, or Throttle body... but I think its different on pathy's... regardless buying one premade is a waste of your hard earned cash, and the horsepower improvments are minimal for the cost.
  9. thanks. i just installed mine today. they only had that crappy plastic mesh stuff for gutters at the home depot here, so i got that and a can of silver spray paint. Thanks for the tips on the wire... it took a while but i found someone that works pretty good... twist ties . invisible almost, and they hold it pretty good. The paint isn't holding to the plastic so well so im hoping it wont wash off next time i clean the truck up, but we'll see. If i had a camera i'd take a picture... the mesh doesn't seem as fine as yours, but I think it still looks plenty good.
  10. ahahhaha you said "untill prices come down" as if you think its going to one day! ahahha.... ooh... sweet lord why am i laughing!!! DAMN YOU FUEL TAX's DAMN YOU REFINERIES, DAMN YOU TERRORISTS.. DAMN YOU COMBUSTION ENGINE!!... err..
  11. sweet thanks. I should have said a little more clearly though, my bad... How are you keeping the mesh in on the three "hood scoops" lol ? the little vent things. Im sure you know what I mean.
  12. hmm i still can't decide. if it where a matter of just snow i know it'd be the pathy. But, its going to be mostly slush here where i live (occasional black ice too), but for the trips to kelowna and back i have to make a 400km hike over the rockies. And there is usually ZERO fresh snow or even slush up there. Its usually either bare, or Super compact snow/ice... or a mixutre of the two. I have bridgestone dueler AT's on my pathy, and i dont really wanna fork over the money for new snowies... the duelers are at 85+ % tread left anyway.

    Wish List

i def wouldn't pay that. My foggies dont work either (but i think its the cracked lenses not an electrical problem)... im honestly not sure if my suspension switch works or not.... i've tried it on both and notice a difference... but its so subtle it might just me thinking im noticing a difference... for anyone that has a working switch is it quite easy to notice?
  14. Bingo. the old tempo already has a big arse fence post, two or three ditches (on purpose) and a nice underbelly snow scrub/wash to her name. the old thing just keeps on going... CV joint is dead on driverside though so thats all i need to fix. i Put canadain tire Nordic Ice Traks on it, and it stick like glue.... im not kidding.. i was going placed my buddies with 4wd (rear lockers) and 33+" AT's couldn't go. ony thing stopping me was the clearance.
  15. Its mostly a Daily driver, so in the winter i wouldn't be in the middle of nowhere. and im not worrying about the "get going" type of traction typically associated with using 4wd... im talking about the sliding out of control when you try to stop type of traction. lol. Its got 4 wheel discs, but no abs, so im a little sketched out of driving in the snow, trying to slow down for a corner im used to takeing in my car or something. I'm a pretty young inexperienced driver. I've Only had my licence for 2.5 years... hehe, lets just say the local fence posts get nervouse when the snow hits. hehe I've pummeled two of em so far... very minimal damage cause i was going pretty slow, but still. that kinda stuff scars you a bit.
  16. no owners manual? if you got it I'd check there first. Then I'd phone the dealership if want a QUICK answer... THEN i'd post here, but thats me. I personally dont know so i can't help ya, sorry.
  17. Sorry but someone has to do it... Summer WILL end... and snow will soon be apon many of us. And for me, that raises a question. Its going to be my first winter with my 95 SE, and i'm curiouse. Its a little sketchy on dry pavement when im not paying attention and or speeding... How are they in snowy or ice conditions? Reason i ask is because, I have an old 89 tempo sitting in my back yard that needs about 300 dollars of work to make it driveable... a perfect winter beater... it still has NEW snowies on it even... If i fix it, i can decommision the pathy and get the tranny fixed while im at it... but if the pathy's handle ok on snow I dont want the hassel or the cost... and i'll just run the pathy till she drops the tran, and fix the car and the truck at once. well lemme know guys! thanks.
  18. ahahah... someone said their prelude was fast! lol.
  19. You glue the little buggers in there or what? How'd you get the meshing to stay put.. and where'd you get it or whats it called? Think a home hardware would carry it? Am i asking too many questions? are you really sure? Should i stop now? lol thanks.
  20. i'm willing to bet its a tiny resistor that tricks your sensors, and tricks your ECU into dumping more fuel into the engine... stay away.... the only ECU upgrade for pathy's doesn't give 25% more HP, AND you have to run on premium. just stay away from that stuff in general.
  21. you rock dude. heres hoping things work out. your contact must be dragging his ass, you wouldn't think it'd be that hard to phone up the other dealership and get a price quote... especially for an insider. is he having language problems or something entirely different?
  22. i wish someone *really* knew what they where talking about... everything i know (i can't speak for all of you, but im pretty sure it holds true aswell) is what we've heard, read, or seen elsewhere and none of us *actually* KNOW for a fact, first hand, why it is the way it is. and it doesn't seem like the media wants to let us know any time soon, since most of what they say is either conflicting or just can't be the sole reason. perhaps thats just it... there is no one reason gas is so expensive, its just a compilation of a crap-load of problems.
  23. ok what ever you say sicks... i obviously wont be able to convince you just by telling you. but i have done the research, mostly on the net, and i do take everything i read with a grain of salt, so its possible i have been mislead... but the fact is that your response neither presents a good debate against my informantion, nor does it create any constructive ciritism.. as for hydrogen not exploding..... 1) hydrogen is explosive by nature, when mixed to the appropriate ratios with oxygen (which a leaking tank can easily do).... 2) ANYTHING pressurized that is flammable (like hydrogen) IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE explosive.... for hydrogen to be usefull in a combustion engine it has to be stored in a liquid state... i foget the numbers but that means it has to be highly pressurized. Its basic science guys.... Your teacher never showed you how hydrogen works in science 10???? im not all into the stupid xxxx miles to gallon conspiracy theories... im not saying theya rn't true... and im not saying they are... BUT i did say that i thought BMW has patents on a road safe hydrogen tank allowing hyrdogen combustion engines to be commercially produced for the public.... they already have a few working prototypes that are performing very well. use google... its your friend.. I DONT watch american news... ever, i hardly ever whatch any TV news. I read the paper, i search on the net. its not hard, and its fun, and im not saying that im right or wrong, im just saying do some freaking research before you shoot me down.
