  1. Thats what i thought about doing... as well.... i just am wondering if the stuff works...
  2. Its one of those "stupid laws" that just doesnt make sense..... the whole reason why I am saying to put a down pipe is its a "loop hole".... You can see the exhaust if you lean down but from a regular view you cant.... so technically i am following the idiot law....
  3. Thats what I thought.... I just wanna get rid of the gunk and nastiness that builds up under valve covers w/o taking them off....
  4. Don't mean to brag.... but i am pretty advanced in my knowledge of cars (especially for a HS student). I take working on cars seriously. Just for the record, I just finished rebuilding my dads 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Transmission about a month ago.... And I rebuilt the front 1/2 of a 1993 Toyota Camry engine- Water pump, alternator, AC compressor....everything that runs on the Serpentine belt. I also installed a new intake gasket on a 1998 Buick Le Sabre With the supercharger.... Sever brake, trans, oil, struts, plugs and wires jobs i have done... Basically Cars are life for me... Like I said... don't mean to brag... I just wanted people to know what my experience level is..... Yeah I got a TBI and I love it.... and I heard about your situation with your valves bending... thats why i asked so i don't have to do what you had to go through....
  5. I say instead of buying a lift, do the Jeep Grand Cherokee coils in the rear, and then turn your Torsion bars roughly 75-85% up... then align it.... And btw... I am in the same boat bro... gonna be building mine up and possibly selling it for college.... reason why i say possibly is cause i have sorta fallen in love with the car....
  6. I am just trying to find out if there is a way to build some power through electronics vs a mechanical means..... Anyone know if they make like super chips for pathfinders? cause i know that they make performance chips for most vehicles.....
  7. For starters.... thats disgusting... This is a CAR forum so therefore its gotta be related to cars.... And to float your boat.... http://www.zmax.com/ Its a Micro Lubricant... for engines...
  8. Generally how difficult is it to do that on a 1-10? 1-replacing a bad fuse 5- motor swap 10-rebuilding the whole car Reason I am asking is cause I have heard dozens of stories of people not able to get their cars running again cause they messed with the timing... puts a little fear into the though of replacing them....
  9. Is there an aftermathet ECU available for WD21's? Like does MSD make one or something like that? Or is flashing the stock ECU the only way to get performance from the ignition?

    Zmax

Anyone know or actually tried the product ZMAX or a product like it with the same principles? I am kinda skeptical about It and doubt that it really works... Just curious to know if it really works or if it's just a product pushed by advertising....
  11. Then it's probably been replaced at one point or several times..... Should I replace it considering I'm not sure the last time it was replaced? If it's wearing I know it's time...
  12. Agreed... It's always better to read ahead and gain knowledge before jumping right in on something without any prior knowledge....
  13. ok so my timing belt hasn't gone yet, but I fear it is close to going with 250,000+ miles on it. Should I replace I replace my timing belts now while I am doing some serious work on the engine and front end to save me from internal problems later on down the road? Or should I let it go and pray that when it goes I don't have any serious problems?
  14. I am in charlotte nc... I know a bunch of good places to go that my friends go on all time with their rides...
  15. if your making NPORA sticker logos (that's what I think you said) I am up for buying one!
  16. Forget the Malibu... Sell that and go pathfinder!
  17. URE is the best man..... Reason is that I am thinking that later on some time... in the southeast maybe a Pathfinder car show or something like that could take place... or a major wheeling trip....
  18. Sure you count man... Your close enough....
  19. I actually had a friend with a 95 ford ranger and he cut his bed out, made compartments in the bed... welded the bed back up, then put some logs in the back and he ended up being able to carry so much stuff... no dogs or anyone found what was in the bed.... it was air tight welding...
  20. Haven't been able to with all the rain that the south east has been having... I am gonna try this afternoon... I just wanted some clarification on this matter And the starter is fine... Turns the motor very nicely.... Motor just won't catch and go...
  21. Ok when I read this... I laughed out loud, cause honestly, who keeps gloves in there.... As for mine, had my registration in there, record of maintanance, emergency deodorant, pens, emergency $20 bill and my owners manual.... But not now cause I am doing some work on it....so all that stuff is in a shoe box in my room right now...
  22. Ok for running ECU codes, my automotive instructor says that I have took get my pathfinder to the dealer to get it looked over.... Is this entirely true or is there a scanner that I can get myself (that I can use on other vehicles) to check the codes? And could someone explain to me what it means to "flash" an ecu? I have seen that a few times and don't know what that means....
  23. Shopkey5.com Create an account... its pretty reasonable considering you have access to EVERY CAR ever made...(since 1972) you will find almost every diagram there....
