  1. hey alex, did you install lift on the r50 or are you still running stock coils? and what tire size r u running? im just wondering coz ur r50 seems to be doing lotsa cool stuff too.
  2. Okay... that sounds good to me. I guess when the springs are settled, the difference in the lift provided by AC and OME HD lift are probably negligible. Thanks man,
  3. tekaz, i'm just wondering... does it really give you the 1.75"? I think OME website says the coil only provides .5" lift. and i figured that ud be the best person to ask since you have it installed on the pathy. thanks,
  4. How much lift do you get in the end, with respect to the original height?
  5. Hey guys, I went to the 4wd shop yesterday who recommend and are selling the OME suspension setup for the R50. His catalog says I will only get 0.5" of lift on the R50. Based on your experience (those who are running the OME setup), how much lift do you think you have actually acquired in comparison to the stock suspension? Is it really 0.5" or slightly more than 1"? And what tire size do you use? Also, if the coil only provides 0.5" of lift, is it possible to use 1" spacer on both struts and shocks to give a total of 1.5" lift? This is simply what I had in mind to achieve more lift without extending both shocks and struts, thus, minimizing the possibility of topping out. What's your input on this? Thank you for your opinion. Andrew
  6. Is your rancho shock the 9000xl or does it come with secondary reservoir?
  7. NPORA is very informative, thanks to the inputs from people like you guys!
  8. Hey, thanks a lot tekazgtr1984. I'm gonna mail Mike later on during the day. Did you change your wheels as soon as you installed the lift? @Alex: I thought you wanna try to squeeze a 34" on a no-lift pathfinder... or am I mistaken?
  9. Hi, Does anyone know what is the make of the wheels installed on the toyota tundra, as shown on the rancho 9000xl webpage? http://www.gorancho.com/products/shocks/rs...xl/rs9000xl.php Thanks. Andrew
  10. Hey Guys, I want to do 2" AC Lift on my 2000 pathfinder se and I've got a few questions: 1. AC recommends wheels with 3.75" backspacing. In comparison with the 16x7" OEM wheels, will my tires stick more towards the outside or inside of the car? I don't know the backspacing of the OEM wheels. 2. Regardless of the recommendation, can I still use the 16x7" OEM wheels with the lift? Will I have any rubbing issues? I'm currently running BFG MT/TA/KM2 255/70R16 which equals to ~30" and plan on doing so until the end of next year. I will get a new set of wheels when I change to 32" tires. 3. I also plan to run Rancho struts and Rancho 9000xL shocks. What's your input on these items? Also, I checked on Rancho website and they have Rancho 9000xl with a secondary reservoir. Do you think this is an option for me? Have any of you run a 2" lift with shocks that have secondary reservoir? 4. AC listed different codes for rancho 9000xL: SPRSX900096PFLIFTRR (with suspension lift), SPRSX900096PFNLRR (with no suspension lift), SPRSX900096PFLOWRR (with lowering coil). Are they essentially one and the same shock, which is RSX900096? Thank you so much for your input, it is much appreciated. Andrew
  11. GPG, In total, how many bulbs did you use for the gauge cluster? 4? And for the bulb that you purchased from autoillumination, is there a specific number to it? Or simply 5-led bulb? Thanks
  12. Hey GoPathyGo, Thanks a lot for your reply. I have to refer back to that NICO forums sometime soon. I've changed my radio to the aftermarket pioneer double din, which is extremely blue, so i was just thinking if I could change the bulbs for the ac/heater since mine was manual control, not the auto one for the heater/ac. Anyway, I came across glow needle kits for the R50 from import intelligence. They have red glowing needles for the speedometers (two long and two short) for the R50. I've never tried it on, but I'm wondering if this might be a possibility to keep your needle red and glowing when you have changed blue background on the speedometer. If the website does not load, press f5 or refresh the page... I don't know why it is doing like that, but it should work. http://www.importintelligence.com/FMPro?-D....html&-Edit Hope that helps, Andrew PS: By the way, gopathygo, how many blue led bulbs did you have to purchase for the speedometer itself?
  13. Thank you for your write-up! It is very useful to me, I intend to do this mod sometime in May on my gauge cluster as well as HVAC unit on the dashboard (I have the manual one). I've read about the guy whos cluster went smoking and I think he had to get a new one with the right odometer or something from the junkyard or the dealership... I feel sorry for him. By the way, do you happen to know that the bulbs on the dashboard are the same as the gauge cluster ones? And do you know if 2000 pathy uses the same bulb as 2003 pathy?
  14. Thanks for the reply. Sent you a PM. Andrew
  15. I've questions for those who are familiar with the ARB bumper for the R50. There are two holes at the bottom of the bumper. Are those holes meant to fit D-ring shackles, which can then act as recovery points? During the bumper installation, the guys who did it removed my stock recovery points and I assume these would be my new ones. Am I mistaken?
  16. If I'm not mistaken, your pathfinder comes with 16 x 7 stock rim, right? Do you know what is the width of the new titan rim? 17" by?? And since its 17", I assume u gonna get a new set of tires to go with that...?
  17. Looking great... are you running 30" tire on the QX4? do you top out? And that beadlock on your wheel looks awesome.
  18. So, does the 921, 923, and 928 add 1.75" (as listed on rocky-road) or 0.5" (as listed on ARB chart)? I am aware that rocky-road only sells 921 and 923, i think.
  19. Raz, if you get the lift springs, your rear end might look a little higher than the front end. Something like what you would expect in a tow truck or a drag car, but of course the difference is not that much. However, some people might still find this annoying and want the front and rear ends to be level at all cost. So, you add the strut spacer to the struts in the front (place 1" spacer on top of the strut in the front). After installation, your front end will now look level with the rear end. And I think that's the whole purpose of having strut spacer. Again, as the difference is not that obvious, strut spacer is a preference for you, not a necessity. With or without it, I'm sure your truck still look aggressive after the lift.
  20. Hey guys, I'm thinking of doing suspension lift on my 2000 pathy and its gonna be either an AC or OME set-up. Since I live in Canada, I intend to purchase the struts and shocks locally while ordering the coils online. Will anyone be able to confirm with me the item codes? Also, can anyone kindly tell me what I'm missing out since I will get a shop to do the installation. Nissan Strut Mount Spacer Strut bearings? Camber alignment kit? AC Coils Rancho Struts (RSX17504 for the left and RSX17503 for the right) Rancho 9000XL Shocks (RSX900096PFLIFTRR) or OME Coils (OME923 for the heavy-duty front and OME922 for the rear) OME Struts (OMEN144S for the left and OMEN143S for the right) OME Shocks (OMEN104) Thanks a lot... I appreciate your input. Andrew PS: Do I have to get the manual hubs right away? Or can i wait for sometime?
  21. I may also be interested in the skid plate depending on the price... but so far, I'm very happy with the shipping cost (light weight and its from quebec to toronto) which is much cheaper than importing it from the states. And I'm just wondering (which might sound obvious to you): Do I have to remove the plastic factory skid plate before installing the new one? Or can i just overlap it and use longer bolts?
  22. Ooopss... my bad, thought hes looking for MT. It has reviews for AT too (navigate from the homepage) BFG AT's is very popular around here too, seems like theres something special about them. And I've no experience with pro comp tires either, sorry about that...
  23. http://www.offroaders.com/tech/AT-MT-Tires...ud_Terrains.htm I referred to this website when searching for the KM2. Might be helpful to some of you...
