Okay, sorry for the misunderstanding. Just to rephrase my question: Is OME the only way to go? What about AC springs? Do they provide as much support as OME?

Yeah... checked out rocky road before. If I wanna change the suspension, I will probably get the lift springs altogether. Between AC and OME (at rockyroad), it seems OME is the only one with heavy duty to support the ARB. This means OME is my only option. If I install AC and ARB, it still sags a little as compared to the OME. Do I get the whole idea right on this one? Also, what happens if I change the current spring to another new stock R50 ones. This means I get no lift, but its newer spring. Will it improve the front end condition?

When I install the ARB bumper, should I expect the front of the car to come down a little bit? And then I get the tow truck look with the rear end being higher than the front? I figure that the ARB bumper is way heavier than my stock plastic bumper. And the R50, having clocked 198,000 km, is still running on the stock suspension system. I think the front and rear coils should be pretty soft by now.

I see... my 2000 pathy has 197,000 km in it and is still using stock suspension too. Regarding the struts, the stock struts = kyb gr2 struts in terms of dimension and travel, right? And it is also the same struts if you wanna lift that pathy by 2"?

Good to hear, thanks a lot!!! Just something to wonder, does ARB manufacture the bumper in Aussie? Doesn't they have a factory in the states? Since there are lots of offroad enthusiasts in north america, it would be sensible to do so...

It seems to me that Pezzy's R50 is the standard that we've set for our own R50s too, lol... something that we admire. But I'm pretty sure her mod wasn't completed overnight, so patience is the key... lol

Since they are not into cars and probably havent heard of ARB, I think a good paint job will do the trick... and since its second hand, couldve said the previous owner installed it... lol

Yeah, basically the local shop already has the integrated fog lights and the PIAA 520, which I requested to be mounted on top of the bumper. Its a 2000 silver pathy, with two tone between the body and slightly grey-brown fender and bumper? lol... i think you know what I'm saying... but thanks a lot for the info. it truly helps.

Yes Pezzy... National4wd. I feel bad for bugging them every week, but I've to get it before my parents come in summer. I have to repaint it to the color of the fender, so that they'll think its stock bumper for the R50 (not aftermarket stuff) - that's why I asked for the color too, lol...

Offroadtourroadie... just wondering, you are the original owner of the 96 pathy and you are changing the struts now... does that mean stock strut can be used for 13 years? :O Did you clock in lotsa mileage on that pathy?

I admire your enthusiasm for your rod-mobile, lol... Let me know if you find the specs and price of the locally made skid plates, i'm also interested!

Are you serious??? Which means I have until May... How could you have the patience for the bumper? Did you bug ARB or your shop at all within those five months? I've been calling the local 4wd shop to check on my bumper every week, lol... Also when you get it, what is the color? ARB Bumper chart says its grey whereas the local 4wd shop says its gonna be black powdercoated... which is true?

I ordered my R50 sahara bull bar from ARB back in late Dec. 2008. I'm living in Canada, so the local 4wd shop had to place an order to the supplier in new york, who will receive the product from ARB. I was told there was a backorder on the item... Its late Feb. now and am still waiting for the item... its so hard to purchase one even though I already placed my down payment way in advanced... I think they should stop posting the pathfinder bullbar as one of their products on the website if they aren't making anymore for the R50 or if they require two or more people to request for the item before they get back to work... or at the very least, they can write a note "this item may take two months or so before it can be delivered to you"

Year: 2000 Pathfinder SE lift : Stock/ no lift Wheels : Stock/ 16x7 (I think), not sure about backspacing Tires : BFG MT T/A KM2 255/70/R16 Notes: Its pretty much 30" tires... so doesn't rub or anything.

Hey, I went to the rocky road website and for the lift package, they also provide the packer... I suppose this is just spacer to be placed on top of the front struts to prevent that drag car look... am I right? If yes, can i combine the packer from the rocky road with the lift kits from AC (AC 2" Spring + Rancho struts + Rancho 9000X shock)??? Also, in rocky road, they have medium, comfort, 2/99+ medium, 2/99+ comfort suspension packages with struts. What is the difference? Thanks. Andrew

Hey guys... I have a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder and I live in Toronto, ON. I have never been offroading and I want to try it for the first time in this coming summer. I have mud tires already installed, and am thinking of installing skid plates and rock sliders prior to the 2" suspension lift (since cost is a factor). And my question is... Is AC the only manufacturer that still actively produces skid plates for pathfinder? I have checked the rocky road website, but it seems that they only make sliders. Since I live in Canada, do you guys know if there are Canadian companies that manufacture skid plates and rock sliders for pathfinder? Sometime ago, I read about this guy who custom made skid plates (he goes by the name of Marcel and is a Canadian - please correct me if I am wrong). Is he still active in the manufacturing business? I am asking these questions not because there is something wrong with importing goods from the states. But I am trying to save cost on the shipping and possibly, taxes. Thanks for reading this post. Guys, this is just some random question that got on my mind... I have a 2000 Pathfinder SE with 3.3L V6... Is engine swap with 4.0L V6 (2005 and up) or 3.5 L V6 (2001-2004) possible? If yes, is it worth the time and money... or should I get a used 2005 Pathy instead? And what about installing a turbo or supercharger? I think this will drastically empty my fuel tank within seconds... I asked this because I like the way my Pathfinder behaves on the street and its reliability... but I feel the 3.3L V6 engine is seriously underpowered... and as compared with the later Pathfinders, the later engines offer more horsepower for approximately the same gas mileage.
