  1. :X please excuse my gender confusion. cool to know!! these pics are mad cool; i guess i am still in awe of the tech age we are in! i don't think i am old, but at 26 i am now amazed by technology and have new white hairs in my goatee
  2. SWEET, i never knew this either. question is how are they doing it? if you own a chevy truck its simple, air from your window defrost goes right into the door and out the mirror. the mirror is like a free passage out of the truck. i am not finding such duct work for the pathy, but i only looked once a while ago. so do they work with front window defrost or back window defrost?
  3. Incidentally, I did not mean that with any malious.
  4. You guys are priceless...runnerman... ...those pics are awesome  i had to read my way through the pezz-man needing the imagination bump 3 times and go to the next page to see the pics (3 times also) before the laughter brought tears to my eyes!!! the shear idea is just awesome..uhh but anyway (cough, cough) runnerman the way you are showing it really doesn't get any on the windows? I literally just got min tined and don't want to make a mess of them already.
  5. thanks to all of you for responding!!! i am going to check with autozone...i would imagine they would be the same as pep boys....gotta get a digi cam so i can post pics of my 'lil rig...thanks again!!!
  6. Hi guys, this may seem really far out there...but ( you knew i'd write that ) i am looking for the vent visors for my 98 pathy. i want to get the ones that cover the entire length of the back door including the small sail window....i have found a picture from ebay that depicts the WRONG kind of vent visor. i have seen a handful here and there that cover the sail window but have no clue who made them or if they were indeed made by ventshade then what truck they were made for.......can anyone help such a cosmetically inclined goon??? http://i4.ebayimg.com/02/i/01/ee/70/ee_1.JPG
  7. If you drive in a straight line and make the truck sway back and forth (like the indy car drivers trying to keep their tires warm) does it make that sound everytime? I had this issue and its sounds big but is small....it was the little endlink that connects the sway bar to more suspension components....i replaced both of them for good measure. You can check them by giving them a flexing and if they move they will pop and you will them know which one is bad.
  8. Hi guys, i really want a set of oem fender flares...i have been watching ebay forever trying to get them for less than dealer or even a buddies "dealer cost" either way there is an ebay store that offers the flare piece by piece for about $140 a each. my questions are: Whats up with the little flare on the bumper? it seems never to be mention as part of any set. Is there anywhere to find a set of stock flares? On ebay now is a set of egr's but i don't like them near as much as the OEM flares, there is also a passenger side set on ebay that does not include the small flare attached to the bumper. I looked up bumper end caps and the post says that the flare is included...so i emailed the seller (Auto Parts Depot), they simply told me the difference between the chrome and black end caps. uuurrggghhh Is there any help out ther?
  9. My condolences vengeful, that really sucks. Less than a week after i got my wife her altima someone pulled in or backed out of a space next to her and left a giant scatch in her rear plastic bumper. previous to that the car was mint in the paint department! this first thing that comes to mind on those tailight pieces is "silverado"" but that can only be specualtion. but they are high enough stock and the tailights have that very grainy texture..so watch for em ! chris
  10. Details maiyn! Mine has nosies that i am not sure if they are normal...it sort of sounds like the injectors spitting gas, but it is magnified over my expectations. I also (just one time) started the truck and it sounded like a set of bad lifters for about 5 sec then never did it again...and where i live we already got down to single digits for 2 days.
  11. Agreed, everyone is on the variable cam lobe bandwagon, and for good reason great low gas milage with great upper strength...we only need so much power to get out of a true jam (a winch might work also) and what we currently lack is highway power......so come on Nissan get it straight. Don't they know they are Japanese? Better economy with greater usable power would impress me more (and maybe that winch as a factory option) than just making the engine bay even more impossible to work in and even more trips to that gas pump. Of course that power sounds like a good reason to go into debt, but it is tough to forecast how much extra debt with fluxuating gas prices!
  12. Thanks a ton for the reply........after the regular christmas day for my daughter and all i plan on getting back to the regular everyday adult christmas!!! -bounce-
  13. I was very interested in the idea, that the "3.3l engine came alive", so i did some homework -study- ...this chip in aussie, there is no local delivery, and after doing the conversion math it added about 15 hp and 12tq there is a sweet site that can convwert any number........very handy http://www.convert-me.com/en/ either way if it was attainable i would be interested here in USA
  14. :o --cjs2000......That is exactly the bull bar that i want...is that made for a 96-99 also? i can't find more info anywhere...or do you have the number from where you ordered it? Please and thanks. Chris
  15. I looked at the same lights for my 98, my plan was to prime them and spray them the same color of my truck, leaving just the lights themselves showing. Locally there is a shop that can make your auto color in a spray can, I bought 2 cans and did my handles and rear license lights and tailgate handle. by the way those lights a very 3-d...they will stick out and you can't put them under protective covers
  16. LOL! I heard at all the dealerships on fridays in the morning they all cheer... VG33E VG33E VG33E VG33E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Hooray for advance being open till 9 pm on Sundays..I love it too!!
  18. I bought my pathy and had to catch up quick on this same deal...check it out....the same exact code showed up on me first also, but along with knock sensor. I incidentally just bit the bullet and bought a new O2 sensor for bank 2 sensor 2, then being the dumba** that i am swaped bank 1 sensor 2 out and the code came back (sure it did you replaced the wrong one idiot!). so i bought the opposite sensor as i did the first time (that is what advance had instock) and swapped it out..........no more O2 codes. ****HINT****those d**n sensors are exactly the same and are somehow different by $10 at the counter so buy the cheaper one of the two and swap it yourself, it is really easy if you use some PB Buster on the O2 first. If you buy the BOSCH universal you will have to remove your stocky first, then cut the harness off the end and re-attach it to the universal...i say that both secondary sensors are the same--well they are, just one has a longer pig-tail than the other, but since you have to cut the factory harness anyway it is no matter, you just cut more off the harness side leaving less on the O2 side...trust me you CAN do it. as for the ripoffship that said they did it tell them about it make them pay for a new one and go that route...but just as TRIALSIN26 said, I would clear the codes and try again. I waited until the third SES to buy my first O2. for that EVAP crap, i am going to order the parts and swap that crap out, i let yuo know how it goes, and if you need ANY help on that O2--Holla Chris
  19. Not too many questions at all!! I am sincerely glad that you responded. It has 85K Original Timing Belt As far as leak speed...well I have put only about 1500 on it in the two months i have had her and it appears not to have moved on that sweet wire dipstick..does that help? Plug in pan seems OK...leak is way high on block goes behind alternator then I can't see any further. 1500 on castrol syntec 10-30, d-i-y, oil is already about half life as far as color...i have mentioned in other posts she was an abused vehicle, so i may change her before snow hits. Leaking for some time I would say but it has made it to the bottom of that plastic skid plate and i hate vehicles that leak onto the ground..i really want to remove all the oil from the engine; any safe way to do that? i know i get it steamed but i don't know the cost versus my labor which is free, and i may even enjoy it!! both valve covers look as if tiny, tiny, i mean tiny amounts of oil are escaping but i can't picture that causing the oil slick....by the way, i have not counted out that trip to the park up my way, i just (bashfully) have no clue where it is, LOL!
  20. Looking for an exhaust cat-back system to replace the fresh hole in my stocky...thought there was a gibson set up...now i can't find it so i was looking at the HKS, but it is pricey and apparently disco'd!!! So do we all just pick a muffler and replace pipes with that bent aluminized??
  21. -study- My 98 is leaking oil at a slow rate, it appears (from underneath the truck) to be coming from the valvecover, however, upon inspection (from the top of the engine) there is no leak??!! Is this the cam seal faking me out? Is this a D-I-Y repair or head to a garage? What should be expected of a bill? lastly, any aftermarket seals?? yes yes yes too many questions , but I LOVE my pathy and hate seeing her life blood seeping out!!
