32s or 33s

Hey i know everyone asks "which size tires can i run w/3 in lift" what i am wondering is if you can run 33s with only a 3 in lift if u trim the fenders or do u have to have more than 3 in. because if u can fit 31s stock it would make sense to be able to go more than 1 more in. Thanks

I am running 33x9.50 with a 3" SL and they dont rub at full turn.....

 

I have not had the opportunity to do any flexing.

I have a 2"(50mm) body and suspension lift, rear springs have 1/2" spacers under them. I have done a little trimming on front and rea wheel arches to run snow chains and I run 33x10.5 BFG MT's. Rear diff 250mm off ground.

You CAN run 33's with only a 3" suspension lift but they'll rub the fenders eventually. My 33x10.5's rubbed both front and rear before I trimmed more off.

that makes more sense thanks now that i have enough money for my lift i gotta save up for the tires. How exactly do u trim the fenders, do they have kits or do you just eyeball it?

No kit for trimming, just a 1 special tool, its called an eyemetrometer...lol

Yup all you'll need is a dremell or sawzall and a BFH.

Id stick with 32's, and yes, an angle grinder rocks socks for trimming fenders.

yah i am getting 33's from a friend for FREE because he is getting new tires. They dont have much tread left but free tires and wheels who can argue

I now have 33x12.5 they rub pretty good with the TM 4 inch lift and cranked torsion bars. I think I am gonna need a body lift now

I got to do a little flexing today... the only rubbing was on the rear mud flaps... None on the turning but thats primarily because they are only 9.50" wide....
