I filled out the info, sent my card # and all of that, at the begining of october. I haven't been added to the member's page and aren't you supposed to get like an ID card or something that says you're a member?? What's going on!?

nice to see you again. i am sure the mods will tell you but the creator/godfather and owner of this site is "off the air" currently and has no computer in which to post up new members and such. unfortunately he is the only one who can.. please be patient, he is having a really rough time of it and it is by no means intentional. enjoy the site, and you have NOT been forgotten!

As Slick said, Mr. Jim the founder/owner/supreme overlord of this site has hit a very rough patch in his life. Divorce, health problems, stolen computer, and no internet access have all hit him at once. All our hopes are with him. Hope you land on your feet and can come back soon Mr Jim!

Personally, I can't believe people are still sending $$ to someone they don't know for membership to an internet Pathfinder club without any confirmation or email reply...but that's not the problem.

OK! That said...

MrJim started NPORA and is the man you need to talk to. I hope you can get ahold of him, cause I can't. He's going through a divorce, working long days and I don't believe he has internet access at home anymore. That's about all I know at the moment. I just run the forum. The mods are under me and can't do anything about it either. Only Jim has the access to the nissanpathfinders.com website and can add pages or change anything.

Hey don't worry man, I sent my $ in like last August and never heard anything, It'll happen sooner or later when Mr Jim gets back on his feet, and if not you can join me in the "Tried to be a member but it didn't work" member club :P

maybe one of the mods or Aaron can put a sticky in the newbie area or somewhere just saying something like "NPORA is not accepting members at this time but feel free to enjoy the forums" or something so the new people don't feel like their getting scammed

Well, and that's my problem. I tried to join a LONG time ago, like a year ago. Didn't get anything back, and now I'll probably have to pay money. Which isn't that big of a deal, but the non communication kinda is. I know when my internet access has been knocked out, I just went to the library. Heck, at my library, I could even edit my websites! (They had MSFP on the computer.) Anyway, he could communicate with someone, and make them an admin, even if it was for a short time.

Now, all that being said, I know what Jim is going through, and I really do feel for him. And I hope everything works out. So I'm not a complete asshole, just a partial one.

well we have an admin, 88pathoffroad, but he doesn't have the compacity or whatever that Jim does, he can't do anything about it. To be a member of the forum is free, a member of NPORA costs money, but NPORA is not taking members right now, maybe someday maybe not. But you, I, we wouldn't even be talkin about this if Mr Jim hadn't set this all up in the first place, and is apparently still paying for the hosting

and don't take this the wrong way, I'm not bitchin, I understand what you guys are sayin, just tryin to put it in perspective. I'm sorry you guys haven't heard anything, I haven't either, but helll 10 bucks 6 months ago, considering what Mr J has gone/is goin through; I can let it go :D

Well said

Hang in their peoples, we'll make you feel all warm and fuzzy, like, well.........members.

The best way to get recognized is not on the Members page anyway, the sure way to get recognition is entering the "Truck of the Month" contest with a super duper "stuck" pic.....I'ld vote for ya :aok: or better yet, order a NPORA sticker when they become available again *fingers crossed*

Thanks guys for all the info. about the website. Ironically I was JUST filling out the membership application and decided against it. $10 w/ no confirmation IS pretty shady if U ask me. Guess I'm just happy enough being a member here for now :D
