M in KC
Thanks Pezzy! Filthy, my national heritage is primarily Polish. AKA Poll. Now I've done it. Let the polish jokes begin! Really I find them quite amusing. M
Filthy Luker
Q: How did the German army take over Poland so fast? A: They walked in backwards and said they were leaving... Q: Why do most Polish names in end with "ski"? A: Cause they can't spell "toboggan"... PS: "Poles" not "Polls"

mws
Do some research on the Alligator - the Union Navy's (that's right, AMERICAN) first submarine. The original propulsion system looked just like that.... The replacement used a propeller. (OK, the Alligator and its oars were actually designed by a Frenchman.... but we PAID him for it!) Simon
Not a Polish Joke, per se, but a true story, that I found very funny. My grandmother (the Polish one) was given a pewter Polish eagle door knocker for Christmas. She loved it! I should also mention that she HATES Polish jokes........ So, my dad said "Mom, I'll put that on the door for you on the weekend" She says "What do you mean?" He says "I'll hang it on the door for you so people can use it to knock on the door" She says "WHAT? You can't put it on the outside of the door, it's too nice, put it on the inside" POLISH DOOR KNOCKER!!!!! Precise1
DOH !! Gotta love Grandma... Polish eagle; don't we call them vultures in the US ?? A German, an Italian and a Pole are planning to cross the desert. The German says "I'll bring a block of ice, it will help us stay cool and when it melts, we can drink the water." The Italian says "I'll bring a bag of oranges, the juice will help quench our thirst and we can eat the pulp." The Pole says "I'll bring a car door, when it gets hot, I'll roll down the window."
