Ok so finally after about 9 months the Original Title finally come in the mail....

WTF its a 91 not a 92 per all the other paperwork I have on it........

I was really smoked when I first found out.... now its kinda smoked.....

I do not beleive there were any major changes between 91XE and 92XE that would affect the parts I have put on it or that I have for when something else brakes....

Just frustrating... Gonna have a chat with the previous owner... Shes my Manager... wait X-mas party this Saturday Ill chat with her Hubby...

In Australia the build date is not relevant, it is the date of the first regerstration that depicts the year. You can have a car built in June 94 but if it is regestered in January 95 then it is a 95.

well in the US the build date dosent matter either. most vehicles are made even a year and some sold a few months before their model year even come around. my DSM was built in 95, but its considered a 96 year model. the 06 eclipses were avail in june or july..somewhere around there of this year....about 6 months before their "official" model year.

im sure most eveyrone does that this way.

yeah it's all by model year which runs from july to july of the next year with 2 weeks break in the middle.. i am pretty sure if they were made in the previous cycle then they are of that not the next although they maybe marketed as newer.. one would have to check with their DMV to make sure.. not everyone is standard at all.

Just an idea, have you checked the VIN's to see if they match? And what's the VIN decode as far as year?

Well Saturday Night we had the office party and the hubby came up to me right away with the full file on the now 91XE..... All the PW shows it as a 92 he bought it from his brother-in-law who is a Ford dealer in Utah.... The sticker on the door shows 02/91 but there is a second sticker behind it.... Ill get adventurous when it warms up a little more and peel it off and see what it says behind it....

In the file there is a recipt for the T-belt being changed at 185K..... Im going to head to that shop tomorrow afternoon after the county shuts down and see whats up on workmanship and parts and labor....224k on it now it should not have ate the teeth on the belt the way it did....

Doubt I will get anywhere or anything... but hey I might get to have a little fun with it -bounce-
