My wifes 95 pathfinder v6 has 113,00 kms or 70,000 miles on it. Should I be concerned about changing the internal timing belt. My 89 mitsu gallant broke

at 40,000 miles and that was a $6,000 repair, fortunately covered by warranty.

Ditto on knoxvilles statement. I think 90-95 Pathy's need to be changed every 60,000 miles and 96 up Pathys every 115,000 miles..or a number similar to that. If in doubt.. CHANGE IT! :aok:

Change it and the rest of the belts and t-belt tensioner. For some unexplained reason these never break when your vehcile is sitting in your driveway or garage. While you are there check the hoses for soft spots etc and water pump for weepage/leaking.
