1995 Pathfinder wouldn't start, got new battery installed... now she's dead..

 have a 1995 Pathfinder, 4x4, she's blazed quite few paths in her day, saved my life at least once, and has always been a real trouper no matter what hell we seem to get into, every time.

 

I am desperate though, I bought a new battery for her (made sure it's compatible and rated for my car).....

 

Brand new battery, car won't start.... doesn't turn over....  no lights.... no sounds.... not even a click click click....

 

We have power to the ignition key, and power from the steering column.

 

All fuses are good under the dash.

 

Relays and fuses under the hood have also been checked and seem to be good.

 

Apx a month ago, we removed the Prolock ignition sec system.  Car has been running great until this morning, when it just stopped.

 

Any suggestions about where to start looking/checking?

 

There is just no power going anywhere, starting at the battery level....  I did have the battery checked, and it does power, it's brand new and I have been fortunate that my friend/neighbor is really great with autos, but I need a little direction please!
