rc_cola_j
I have a 2000 R50. The door sticker says 26psi (cold).....is this right? Seems pretty low for tire pressure. Hat are you guys running for your pressures? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
vagabond
what does it say on the tires, the manufacturer will say a lower tire pressure for a softer ride, I always go with what the tire says also better gas milage

rc_cola_j
Thanks. Why would the door stickers be so low? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

RF600
Whatever pressure you go with, check the tires for wear. Wear in the middle, too much air. Wear on the outsides of the tire, too little air. Having said that, I have 31's on my pathfinder and I'm running at 30psi. I'm not noticing any weird wearing. I haven't tried a higher pressure. gamellott
I need to check the other boards more frequently.... The year of your model is about the same time frame that Firestone got their nuts in a bind about tires blowing out, causing accidents. The lower tire pressure will give you a smoother ride, but it's probably not as good for the tire since it is continually flexing the sidewall. My dad had a Ford Explorer that fell under that recall, and the fix was to replace the tires and put a new sticker on the door jam which increased the recommended tire pressure. With that lesson learned, although Nissan wasn't directly affected by it, I would run no less than 30-35psi.
