brc19761
Hi, I have searched the web for days. I have also searched this website and I cannot find the correct factory radio diagram and wire colors and what they go to for my 1994 Pathfinder LE. I have got a lot of results for the colors and what they mean, but they do not match mine. I have the clarion model PN-9661H radio and tape unit, but it also has the factory cd player. The tape deck unit and the cd unit are completely seperate, but they look like they are made together. Mine appears to have a factory adaptor plugged into where I assume if it just had a tape deck to accomodate the cd player. Guess I need the colors and what they control for the adaptor b/c mine has a factory power antenna and this would be where the wires are located for the power antenna. I ordered a newer version nissan factory radio from ebay. I also ordered the correct (I hope:) wiring harness for the new radio. The wiring harness is supposed to be here tomorrow and the radio this Friday. I have my pathfinder disasembled in my shop waiting to wire it up, but I cannot find the right factory wiring diagram for my original radio. I tried to download the factory service manual from the website but it must be messed up b/c there is nothing to download. If anyone has any info. on the pathfinder's that came with the factory tape deck and factory cd player it would be greatly appreciated. If I confused anyone with this post don't worry b/c I am confused myself .
k9sar
I went through this many years ago. I'll have to look and see if I still have my notes. Mine came with the stock radio and no CD player but I purchased one for an altima thaat was identical except for the connector which I did a little snipping and splicing to do the install. I know the cd player has a connector that puugs into the radio (or the other way around) because they do work together whwn installed correctly (CD player turns off radio etc). brc19761
I just took pictures of the radio and loaded them on my computer. But I don't know how to put them in the reply box. How do I do it?
brc19761
Would page EL-57 and onward of the factory service manual be of help? I have ATT internet service. Every time I go to download the the fsm or even your link it just goes to a page that says something like item or page not found?
Towncivilian
You can upload photos to www.imgur.com. Try this link for the 1994 EL section of the FSM.
Slartibartfast
Someone put up a really good link the other day with the proper wiring. It shows the plugs and their pinouts, with color codes. I can't say I've ever actually seen the stock CD player but I imagine you can just remove both units at once, leaving the plug at the back which you can then hook an adapter to if necessary. I have no idea if a later model radio will fit this plug, but I suspect you could compare the info for yours with the info for the vehicle the radio was meant for and rewire as necessary. brc19761
These are the pictures of the oem radio on my 94 Nissan Pathfinder front and back. I would like to thank towncivilian for the fsm link and how to post the pics (by the way how did you get that link for the fsm?). I would also like to thank the previous posters for their links, input, and info. OK on the EL section of the fsm under radio diagrams for 6-8 speakers (I think it is on page 58 or 59) that diagram shows my factory plugs and wires. But you see in the pic of the back of the radio there is a factory adaptor that plugs into the large plug listed on page 58 or 59 on EL sec. of fsm. This is for the cd player which I don't need. But it also has the power antenna wires. This is why I could not find the right color codes b/c I was looking at the wires shown in the back picture of the radio. The tape deck and cd player appear in the pics as one head unit but they are actually two seperate units held together by the mounting brackets. The radio is a clarion the cd player is made by sony for nissan. My delima is which set of wires should I wire the new radio into the ones loacated in the fsm or the ones located on the adaptor in the pic? My radio comes in today and I surley don't want to tear it up. Any info on which way to wire it up is what I need. Thanks so much
adamzan
I have the same unit. You don't need that adapter. Its just the harness that hooks the cd part up. All you need to do is get a harness adapter for 94 nissan from the parts store and your aftermarket radio will plug right in. You may also need the antenna adapter if you have the two prong antenna connection.

RedPath88
I have ATT internet service. Every time I go to download the the fsm or even your link it just goes to a page that says something like item or page not found? The link is working for fine me and obviously others. I'd recommend that you contact AT&T and ask them to correct it, complain if necessary, they either are ether having issues (known or not) or are blocking sites/IPs. Either way, contacting them would be the first step to correcting it. Do you have a web enabled phone? When they go to the default answer of (the website host is the problem) tell them that you have the site freshly loaded on your phone, so "it's not the site's problem"
