90pathy2door
I have ran across a 1989 2wd v6 5 speed pathfinder. I knew the 1st year they came with 4 bangers and 5 speeds, ive seen a few of those. is this a rare option or just one i have never seen before?? Kind of a usless option honestly.2wd that is. and this is the mileage on it. and yes, that is a 4 in front of all those numbers.lol oy yeah,it runs.never been rebuilt and on its 3rd clutch
silverton
just shy of 500k miles? Neat, and not surprising. 2wd isn't all that uncommon. in my eyes, any truck that is two wheel drive, unless a dedicated hauler, is pointless.

1994SEV6
I thought they didn't introduce the 2wd Pathfinders until the early-mid 90s? That's a great looking Pathfinder for 500k miles. WOW

1994SEV6
Is it parked because it's out of gas? I bet that's the reason. Edited December 7, 2011 by 1994SEV6
Tungsten
Only the round dash pathy owners think like that... On the older models, the fuel gauge does not work unless the fuel pump is running or priming. Edited December 7, 2011 by Tungsten
Leo94
Turns out im not the only one with a bent speedo needle except my rpm needle has snapped off too haha.
Kingman
The bent needle is pretty common, I've seen a lot of them. Good looking truck for the mileage, too bad it's 2WD though. I'd like to see how long it goes for!

Leo94
Here is an example of a pathfinder that was 4wd but the cv's cant handle the stress with the longer travel arms so its just 2wd now Link.
unccpathfinder
Perfect candidate for a SAS
Leo94
But then he would also have to add in a transfer case and get both drive shafts which would cost more then doing a SAS on a 4x4 pathfinder
unccpathfinder
A TC and rear shaft can be pulled at a u pull it lot for less than $300...the trans xmeber would have to change too I think you could SAS a 2wd for under $2500 with a custom front drive shaft and coil overs depending on how mechanically inclined they are...and Its less work...take $6k and put an atlas, solid axle and 4 link rear ...its just all a matter of what it'd be used for...ask steevo how much $ he wasted by converting to OEM 4x4 prior to building his truck today
918pathy
Almost 500k, that is totally AWESOME!!! I hope I can get that out of mine 188xxx and still going strong

Thanks for posting that! I was looking all over. Anyway, the 2WD trucks have a much better steering setup too even though it isn't as great for wheeling. I bet the steering system on that truck is still original too.
